May 22, 2012There was an update to my phone about ten days ago. Now when I try to reply to any message I get "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient xxx@xxxx.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying". This has never happened before in the year I have owned the phone.

My email is a hotmail address And I usually use it from my phone Now. there was only one friend who mentioned anything but I didn't ask around as I have many emails on my phone. Something I can do to get rid of this?

When they send emails from inside the network (Via wireless) the email send OK. If they try sending an email from outside the network 5 mins later they get a red cross next to the email they just sent. They could be sending via 3g or on their home wireless.
They don't have a Blackberry server, they send through their providers website, (I.E they log onto their blackberry account and the exchange account is set up in there). (Think its called Blackberry internet service??) When logging in to the account everything is set up OK as they have the green tick to say so.
They have exchange 2003 version 6.5 (Build 7638.2 with service pack 2.

I called vodacom, they tell me that my account is an BIS and now I must change it to a BES account and reset up my account, but can only be done for the 1st of the month, and they cannot tell me why this has happened.

Jan 19, 2016Got a new Lumia 950 about 10 days ago. Set up my 2 email accounts (Gmail, Exchange) and, initially, they both worked correctly. I was receiving messages and could reply.
Starting two days ago, out of the blue, I can no longer send messages. I am still receiving messages on both accounts. But, attempts to reply (or send a new message) result in a red "x" showing up in my inbox (next to my sent message). When I click on the message that did not send, it says "There was an error sending your message."
I just tried deleting both email accounts and reconnecting them. No luck.
Motorola Droid Turbo :: Outlook App Not Sending Emails?
Apr 27, 2015With previous Android Motorola phones, there weren't issues with sending emails and showing in the Sent folder. But the Turbo doesn't have a 'native' email app so I downloaded the Outlook app. Many emails that I 'send' don't show in 'Sent' folder (or received by recipient). Tech support says they're aware of the problem and are working on it. But for now I'm stuck without a trustworthy email app.
