IPhone 4s :: Slide Bar Is Not Working

My iPhone 4s went out last night and was just dead. Thought that maybe a couple drops of rain got in it, so did the rice thing last night. I'd hear it text/email ping throughout the night, so figured it was working. Today, looks/sounds fine. Clear graphics on front, song plays when a call comes in and I can briefly read the text messages. My problem is:Â
The screen lock will not move. Even if I do a power off...the power off slide appears, but can't move that either. I've done the hard shut downs (pressing top/bottom) buttons...goes black...Apple symbol...home page, but still can't slide the bar. I've tried that A LOT...at least a 100 times! Same for just "Power Off"...still nothing. Took to Verizon, and all he wanted to do was sell me a new one. Figure that will be the same at the Apple store.Â
All I want to do is get it unlocked at least once, so I can do a more recent backup. (I'll p/u another phone on eBay/Craig's list)Â

i'm having to double click everything & the slide feature is not working.Resetting fixes it for a couple seconds then it goes right back.i.e. If I go to open my mailbox, i have to 1st select the icon. then double tap it to open. same thing once I get to an email.

I have an iphone 4s that is less than 2years old. The service warranty has expired. A few days ago the lock/sleep/power button stopped working so I had to access the assistive touch icon to lock the phone. Now, the assistive touch button works when I touch the screen (I can move it around) but my phone will not slide to unlock, let me open the camera by sliding up or let me open the flashlight/brightness panel from the bottom. I cannot reset my phone because the lock button stopped working. My contract is up in February so I cant buy a new phone

I bought a nokia 5800d-1 last week. Everything was working fine till last week. Now, whenever I recieve a call, I'm not able to answer the call by sliding the answer option in the screen or unlock by sliding the unlock option. I have to unlock the touch screen by using the unlock button and then all the buttons in my touch screen works and i'm able to answer my call. I went to a nokia care store and updated the firmware to the latest one. But still, the touch screen, as usual reamains frozen whenever I recieve a call.

I recently updated my Xperia Pro (MK16i) with ICS 4.0.4 updates, everything else is working fine except the keyborad. I tried every setting present right now but my keyboard in working, Now I only Have on screen keyboard which is a bit annoying.

I have an x10 mini pro which has been great until today (on android 1.6) All of a sudden some of the keys on the slide out keyboard stopped working. Did a factory reset which didnt solve the problem. Decided to upgrade to android 2.1 and now none of the keys on the slide out keyboard work. Tried to reinstall android 2.1 and still doesnt work. Also tried the repair bit on pc companion.

On my 6760 slide, i tried to type my lock code which i was sure i knew but it didnt work. my lock code had an exclaimation mark in it but when i try to type the exclaimation mark, it doesn't register on the code screen. the button does work though as i tested it in the notes application.

Im using an iPhone 3GS MC Model 3.1.2 jailbreaked & unlocked by blackra1n. Well, here's what happened. I installed androidlock 2.0.1 through the sinful iphone repo on cydia. Had fun with the lock for a while and now I just want the old default slide to unlock back, so I removed androidlock. After that slide to unlock won't come back, its "tap to unlock" instead. Its only in the lock screen, calls and slide to power off are there. Tried rebooting the phone, reinstalling then removing androidlock a couple of times, installed 2.0.2 androidlock and removed, still tap to unlock.

Since updating to 5.1.1 when sliding to unlock the slide stays stuck over to the right, screen frozen, buttons inactive and the phone will eventually reboot after a couple of minutes hanging. This only happens since the 5.1.1 update. Also noticing battery issues, down to 35% now, would normally be at 50%+ at this time of day.

How to move the 'slide to unlock' bar up? id like to reposition it up under the clock, it would feel more natural there. Id like to keep stock unlocking but would be ok with a tap to unlock or it being invisible. It would just be more comfortable under the clock.
