Jun 1, 2014My iPhone 4s went out last night and was just dead. Thought that maybe a couple drops of rain got in it, so did the rice thing last night. I'd hear it text/email ping throughout the night, so figured it was working. Today, looks/sounds fine. Clear graphics on front, song plays when a call comes in and I can briefly read the text messages. My problem is:Â
The screen lock will not move. Even if I do a power off...the power off slide appears, but can't move that either. I've done the hard shut downs (pressing top/bottom) buttons...goes black...Apple symbol...home page, but still can't slide the bar. I've tried that A LOT...at least a 100 times! Same for just "Power Off"...still nothing. Took to Verizon, and all he wanted to do was sell me a new one. Figure that will be the same at the Apple store.Â
All I want to do is get it unlocked at least once, so I can do a more recent backup. (I'll p/u another phone on eBay/Craig's list)Â

Jun 1, 2012i'm having to double click everything & the slide feature is not working.Resetting fixes it for a couple seconds then it goes right back.i.e. If I go to open my mailbox, i have to 1st select the icon. then double tap it to open. same thing once I get to an email.

Dec 4, 2014I have an iphone 4s that is less than 2years old. The service warranty has expired. A few days ago the lock/sleep/power button stopped working so I had to access the assistive touch icon to lock the phone. Now, the assistive touch button works when I touch the screen (I can move it around) but my phone will not slide to unlock, let me open the camera by sliding up or let me open the flashlight/brightness panel from the bottom. I cannot reset my phone because the lock button stopped working. My contract is up in February so I cant buy a new phone

Apr 22, 2012When I connect my Iphone 3gs to Wifi network and after a few minutes get out of the range of the wifi, then the 3g should work. But in my case when I turn on wifi and connect to a network and after a few minutes turn off wifi, then its not able to connect to the 3g network(Airtel-India) which is availabe and i have tested this on my android phones too, it work perfectly fine there.

Furthermore, when searching for some cities near me, it returns me no results, even when searching the place the app says I'm at. Also, in some places, it doesn't provide any detailed information, see pic: There is no animated backgroud and no further info below the forecast - the scrolling stops there. May 11, 2012I have an iphone 4s one month ago. Sometimes when I press the home button when the phone is locked, the screen lights on for a second and after that, the screen gets off again and the phone continues locked. I have to press again the home button, so the phone show me the control to unlock it. Is this normal or this is the sign that my phone should be repaired before it gets in a worse state? Have other user observed this behavior in the 4s iphone?
