Erase Contacts But They Keep Coming Back To IPhone?
Dec 8, 2014
There is obviously some setting in my phone that brings back the contacts I erase. I erase them today but tomorrow their names return in my phone book. how do I prevent this from happening over and over? Â
When I erase all content and reset my phone to factory standards it doesn't erase my contacts. Help I want to give it to someone else and obviously don't want my contacts in phone
My iphone 4 is giving problem (insensitive button and poor connectivity, probably antennae problem). I intend to exchange it as it is still under extended warranty.
How can I back-up and erase the data on the phone before surrendering it? I am afraid I will loose data eg from yahoo mail/calendar/contacts, as well as from Evernote, Appbox Pro, Spending app. Currently, I back up the phone through itunes on my PC, and copy photos to my PC using the microsoft camera wizard.
With icloud switched on (on my iphone 4s), if I erase all content and settings will this erase whats stored on icloud. (my phone is faulty and getting replaced and I need to erase everything before it goes away.
Is this happening to anyone else? Icons that I have hidden with SBsettings keep coming back and a few white ones that I have no idea what they are there when this happens too. Only way to get rid of them that I can tell is to respring again. Is this a known issue with SB Settings and iOS 4 or what?
What do I do if my iPhone just switched itself off and won't turn back on again? It does not even register power when I plug it in to my car or home charger or computer???
So i have an iPhone 4 and i deleted a mesage earlier today in my SMS (text) as it just was blank and said "Unknown" as the contact. I delete this message and get out of the messaging app and then when i open it back up the same message is still there. So i try to delete it again and the same thing happens. I tried closing the app completely and it still is there after i open it up. I deleted it and rebooted my iPhone and once again it is still there. What should i do to get rid of this "Unknown" message or conversation that keeps apearing?
I have been getting a black screen (while iPhone still works) over and over again, now everytime it happens I just go and reset the thing pressing the power and home button at the same time for a few seconds. The fist few times it worked but now it doesnt seem to anymore, I just see the apple logo, then nothing. So I decided to go ahead and restore it on iTunes. Well, I found that I couldn't do it nor back it up without turning "Find My iPhone" off. But I couldn't see the screen, so I went ahead and took screen shots (home and power button) after every swipe I blindly took on the screen, while having connected the iPhone to my mac and watched the pictures on until I finally turned "Find My iPhone" off and entered the Apple ID password. Once I finally got to do the restore. The screen came back to life and was working perfectly. But I decided to restore de backup and then again the screen went black. What could this be?Â
For the past couple of weeks all of my imessages that contain photos or if I try to share a contact they come back as undeliverable. I have upgraded my phone and I am still having the same issue.
Something happened to my contact database yesterday and now whenever I access any contacts, look at texts, etc. my phone is very slow to either start the SMS program (the force close/wait dialog continually comes up) or the contact takes a while for the data to appear. Is there a way to erase all the contacts out of the database and resync them all? If so, will erasing the contacts also erase call history, etc? If it does is there a way to not lose this information?
I received an SMS message in January. I've deleted it several times, but it keeps coming back. Any idea why this is happening and how to get rid of it?The message originally contained text. Now it's empty, but it's from the same number and has the same date. The phone is running the standard os 7.BlackBerry 9900 BOLD (7.1.0.794) (CHINA UNICOM)
My M7 died on me and never came back on, so I was wondering if this was an issue with the M8 too? Just the phone turning off and never coming back on. I had a friend whose Galaxy S3 did the same thing.
If it is, is it a very common issue for both the M7 & M8? I loved my M7 and should be upgrading soon, but idk if its a smart decision. Right now prices for both devices are doable, but is it worth it to even invest ~$200?
I would hate to sink in some money and have it blow up in my face again
I have my new blackberry 9700 and i updated to 5.0.0.714 Os at the moment i stars using, i restore my contacts using the wireless restore, it seen to be ok, i have all my contacts that i have on the old 9000 but when i go to sleep and i wake up some contacts are erase, when i talk to a contact the screen tell me to invite againt or erase them, but i never erase the contact from my list and the other persont neither erase me (its my best friend) always i need to re invite, it works al the day but at 2:30 AM to 3:00 AM the contact say to be erase...

Its possible to copy contacts to the sim card. But I see no possibility to show or select contacts on the sim and delete them. There are many Apps on Play Store, all can show the contacts but deleting don't work. I think android or the sony contact-application dont allow the apps to handle the contacts on the sim.
I have this BlackBerry Bold 9790, after buying the device, I uploaded a song album to the media folder. After some days I deleted the folder, but it keeps coming back...I deleted it from the card, deleted it using the computer, but somehow it is still there, other music folders are easy to deleta and never shows up.
I have the BB Curve 9320. Of late I am getting very old messages, messages that I have deleted a couple years ago coming back to my device. Is there anyway that I can stop this from occuring?
I have the M8 on Verizon and have some pictures that I keep deleting the pictures in both photos and gallery but they keep coming back. I disabled Verizon cloud and turned off dropbox photo upload but they will not stay deleted. I even say yes to delete everywhere. What am I missing? Is there anything else that needs done.
Same thing happened from time to time on my S2. Every time I delete emails, they come back like 4-5 times. I have to delete them multiple times a day before they stay deleted. It doesn't matter if I delete them from my actual Gmail account on my PC, they still keep coming back. It also happens if I go from a WiFi area, to a non-WiFi area. It is SO ANNOYING. And, to make matters worse, I have 3 email accounts linked to my phone, which are all needed for work, so this just confuses me so many times during the day. I cannot work like this for one more second.

I already tried to update my Elm (j10i2) software and it already said it has already the latest software update. My problem is that I cant erase the contact after I texted them. Just giving me the option to mark it. And not the delete option. Is this a software bug that is being fixed right now?
My 9700 application memory is in around the 80 mb range and i can't seem to get the application memory back up. I've tried deleting a whole bunch of applications that i don't use anymore and nothing changed. Can anyone help me get my application memory back up? My phone seems as if it's a bit slower.
I have my own domain and I get POP3 emails the domain-provided-email-address forwarded to my POP3-ISP-provided-email address. These arrive on my N5.
I have the N5's incoming server settings set to "...delete emails from server when I delete emails from the device...". Despite this, emails get downloaded to my N5 again and again even after I have deleted them from both the N5's email inbox (accessed via the "yellow @ card going into a white envelope" icon) and also after I deleted them from theN5's Recycle bin.
I understand that POP3 emails are prone to "re-arrive" like this, but if I can just reduce the frequency that this happens, that would be good.
