Jun 9, 2012I recently purchased a new windows laptop, i have a 3GS and itouch 4 generation. I installed itunes onto my new HP laptop and i connected my itouch first to transfer my purhcases. But i thought after authorizing the itunes would make it to where i didnt have to erase it when i hook it up to the new computer. Friends and family memebers of mine have itunes and apple devices too and they mentioned that they didn't have to erase either their ipod, iphone, or ipad when they hook up to a different computer. MIne however, says " this ipod/iphone can only be synced with one computer at a time" and it gives me the options to : cancel, erase and sync, and transfer purchases. Now i already transferred my music and most of my apps onto my new laptop. BUT, im worried about my iphone losing all of its contacts. If anyone can help me mess with the sync settings to where i can back up my ipod and iphone data onto my new laptop that would be great!

BB Curve :: 8900 Won't Let Me Erase / Delete Default Url
Jun 11, 2011I have a curve 8900. Just added a data plan. I would like to have my browser to open to Google.com. In browser config. it won't let me erase/delete the default url. When I used the BB with only WIFI I could erase/delete it ok. Rogers BB tech said it was cause this is a older BB. Don't know about that.

Aug 2, 2011Something happened to my contact database yesterday and now whenever I access any contacts, look at texts, etc. my phone is very slow to either start the SMS program (the force close/wait dialog continually comes up) or the contact takes a while for the data to appear.Is there a way to erase all the contacts out of the database and resync them all? If so, will erasing the contacts also erase call history, etc? If it does is there a way to not lose this information?

There are many Apps on Play Store, all can show the contacts but deleting don't work. I think android or the sony contact-application dont allow the apps to handle the contacts on the sim.

I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?

Apr 10, 2010With my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314

I have since then began to import my photos to my Computer.However, after restoring again, i realized when I sync my photos to my iPhone they are in a seperate folder called Photo Library? Why? I don't like how I can't just sync the camera roll to the PC. (E.G When I delete a photo from my phone and then sync it up to the PC it would just delete the photo from the comp, and if I add a photo it would add the photo to my specific folder, therefore keeping a synchronicity) Is there absolutely anyway to fix this, i dislike having the seperate folders, thing is.. I can't even add the photo library to the camera roll. I understand the camera roll is for photos taken by the camera, however I add many wallpapers through apps, why can't I add my photos like that to the camera roll and delete the unnecessary folder?

Jun 24, 2014I just bought an iPhone 5c and the dealer manually transferred all of my (gmail) contacts from my Samsung Galaxy. Now the contacts on my iPhone are no longer synced with my gmail account. If I make changes to a contact on my iPhone, that change does not show up on my laptop when I am logged into my gmail account.Â
Can I fix this by turning "on" the "Contacts" button under Settings > mail, contacts, calendars > Gmail > contacts > on?Â
When I attempt this it asks me what I want to do with the existing contacts on my phone. What do I want to do here? If I say leave the contacts on my phone will the contacts merge or will I end up with duplicates?

For some reason the Iphone and ITunes refuese to talk to one another to ackowledge that I have deleted a particular podcast and Itunes dumps it right back onto my phone.
Is there a nice simple (Apple should be good at that...) way to delete them once and for all? I looked for a "When I delete songs I really mean delete" checkbox but there is none.
Why would they allow you to delete something if it will just come back and clog up your memory on the next sync?
