Xseries :: Nokia X1 01 Calls Barring Not Available
Feb 17, 2012
I would like to know if there is any software available from nokia for barring unwanted calls and SMS apart from the option of barring only 10 numbers under "Add to scrn. List"
i have the same problem dont know what to do! in the general options of the phone theres a call barring option on, but i cant turn it off, cause they ask for a password.
I'm trying to use the Nexus 6P's native dialer to make calls through my SIP provider. I have a configuration that works perfectly on the Nexus 5X and older 6 (shamu). I entered all my information in Dialer > Calls > Calling accounts > SIP accounts, and then enabled the account under ... > Calling accounts > All calling accounts. However, whenever I attempt to make a call through my SIP provider on the 6P, a message pops up saying "Can't make outgoing calls while call barring is on."
Note that: I can make regular phone calls from my mobile number just fine, tested with both a Verizon and a T-mobile SIM. However, the SIP call barring problem persists regardless of which SIM is in the phone.
I can make SIP calls using other apps, like CSIPSimple, so it's not a port blocking issue.
I can receive incoming SIP calls (to my DID number) just fine when enabling ... > Calling accounts > Receiving incoming calls, so clearly I didn't mistype my SIP account password. (I visually checked that all the other settings are identical between my 5x and 6P.)
I'm definitely on WiFi when I experience the problem. To be extra sure, I even tried it with airplane mode and WiFi both on, which is fine for CSIPSimple or incoming calls but still doesn't work for outgoing calls with the android dialer.
The message pops up instantly, making it seem like a setting on the phone rather than a response to network messages.
For what it's worth, I'm running build MMB29M (android 6.0.1). My phone is unlocked but not rooted. (I can still get root access to /data by booting TWRP, but have never mounted my system partition read-write.) The one thing it might be is that I put a Verizon SIM in my Nexus 6P when first booting it, whereas my other phones were all first booted with a T-mobile SIM. I think that caused some VZW apps to be installed that I since removed; perhaps it messed up other settings. I'm a bit reluctant to wipe my phone and try again, but will do it if it's the only solution.
I have recently experienced an issue when trying to call to another country, and the message I get on my 920 is that I need first to de-activate my call barring. I was trying to do that, yet I can not find this option. Is this problem related to the network provider (Virgin France) or to the phone itself?
In call settings there is a call barring function that requires a password? T Mobile say they can do barring at network level if required but do not know what the barring password is that's being asked for on the phone, or could this be an N8 function that is not used in this case. By the way I've tried 0000, 1234, 1919 from other internet searches but no success.
I have a problem setting my call barring on the 5310. According to 5310 manual, the default access code for call barring is 12345. The problem is the input field only has 4 spaces for numbers so it fails to activate because I can only enter 1234. BTW, I haven't set any of my own security codes yet. From searching the web I have found people have have this issue with this phone and the access codes. They were given various codes to try, but the matter was not resolved. None of them work. Could someone please tell me what the default access code is for the 5310?
During ALL calls people complain to me that they hear their voice echoing all the time. This problem remains whatever I have tried to do (activate/deactivate the Voice Clarity option, with/without handsfree).
Phone rings, you take out of your pocket to answer and the screen goes blank !!! You can't see the green answer call button! I thought this might be because of the power saving mode, but disabled that and I'm still having the same problem.
I thought that the X7 is supposed to use the proximity sensor to send the screen black during a call because it is next to your face. My phone automatically puts the screen black when I make a call, even if the phone is on the desk or held out in space. Either way, it is very rare for me to be able to convince the phone to bring the screen display back up, ( to do things like enter little things like pin codes ). I flip it around, hold it up to the lights, put it against something, take it away, press every part of the screen. Is there any way of setting the phone not to go black during a call?
My phone has started to play up: even when it says I have full reception, and when calling from places where I have made calls before, I am starting to get 'connection error' when I try to make a call about four tries out of every five. Also, people calling me get directed straight to my voicemail.
Had the BB since Feb but only really started to use it a month ago. Today, I must have done something wrong because when I try to send an sms I get "a red cross with call barred" next to it? I can make calls to those numbers.
The problem is that I have blank screen during all calls and alarms and worst thing is that menu and shutdown keys isn't working idher. I can't do anything when I have a call or when I want to shut down alarm clock. Everything worked fine with Symbian Belle but this **bleep** started after I updated it to Belle. So what should I do in this case. Any advices? Thak you
Whenever I try to enable call barring to prevent international calls (turns out I made an accidental call to Canada thinking it was just another state) I get the error message in the title. It asks for a password (and uses that word, not PIN or PIN2) and restricts entry to numbers only, and only four digits long. No generic PINs or specific PINs I've set work. I've even locked my PIN2 and unlocked it with a PUK2 code from T-Mobile so I could reset it to a PIN of my own and that number doesn't work, either, even after giving it a few hours to settle in because the rep online said it could take an hour or two. how to enable call barring so I can enable or disable international calls whenever I want? I don't want to have to call T-Mobile each time.
I tried to enable call barring/restriction function but whenever I enter password (for the first time), I always get error message: "unexpected response from network".
I am using W810 for past 4 years. Now I am trying to use the call barring service, but I'm not able to do so as I'm getting error "PASSWORD ERROR".Even i tried to use several passwords, still no go.any body facing the same problem.or any body have the solution for this. Also my camera is not working as nothing happens when press the camera button.
When i make a phone call my screen turns black even though i did not put the phone next to my eat et therefor i can cancel calls. Secondly i cannot make call or text, i cannot make any successfull calls because it says my call barring is enabled, but call barring is currently diabled at the settings.
Never had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
I have nokia x2-02. My default browser is nokia browser.Few days before i updated it.After that it is not opening and showing this message " conflicting application:show items?" and it is nt working even after restore all. I hav a big problem.
I have Nokia X2. I am able to explore all the sites on my mobile but not able to download Nokia phone software by using my Nokia X2 phone. Error giving is " Software not getting downloaded"
The battery on my phone needed charging as the battery icon was on red, it was due to go off anytime and I wasn't surprised when my phone eventually turned off. What I wasnt prepared for was everything being deleted from my phone, this is including all messages, photos even the games that were already installed were gone. So has the ovi store. Literally everything. This comes 2 weeks after the keys locked and i couldnt turn it on.
Nokia X7 brings music, games and videos to life on the massive 4 inches touch screen - sounds good - and I am very interested in this phone, but I can not find any information on an internal FM Transmitter in the manual...
- Has Nokia forgotten about this very very requested feature in this "Big Entertainment" Phone?
- Would the FM trasnmitter Software from C7 work on a X7?
