Looks like it is related to the setting here: Settings > Call Settings > Call Forwarding > "Forward when busy" or "Forward when unanswered" or "Forward when uncreachable." I have them set to carrier's voicemail #.
Had the BB since Feb but only really started to use it a month ago. Today, I must have done something wrong because when I try to send an sms I get "a red cross with call barred" next to it? I can make calls to those numbers.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to enable call barring to prevent international calls (turns out I made an accidental call to Canada thinking it was just another state) I get the error message in the title. It asks for a password (and uses that word, not PIN or PIN2) and restricts entry to numbers only, and only four digits long. No generic PINs or specific PINs I've set work. I've even locked my PIN2 and unlocked it with a PUK2 code from T-Mobile so I could reset it to a PIN of my own and that number doesn't work, either, even after giving it a few hours to settle in because the rep online said it could take an hour or two. how to enable call barring so I can enable or disable international calls whenever I want? I don't want to have to call T-Mobile each time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the Nexus 6P's native dialer to make calls through my SIP provider. I have a configuration that works perfectly on the Nexus 5X and older 6 (shamu). I entered all my information in Dialer > Calls > Calling accounts > SIP accounts, and then enabled the account under ... > Calling accounts > All calling accounts. However, whenever I attempt to make a call through my SIP provider on the 6P, a message pops up saying "Can't make outgoing calls while call barring is on."
Note that: I can make regular phone calls from my mobile number just fine, tested with both a Verizon and a T-mobile SIM. However, the SIP call barring problem persists regardless of which SIM is in the phone.
I can make SIP calls using other apps, like CSIPSimple, so it's not a port blocking issue.
I can receive incoming SIP calls (to my DID number) just fine when enabling ... > Calling accounts > Receiving incoming calls, so clearly I didn't mistype my SIP account password. (I visually checked that all the other settings are identical between my 5x and 6P.)
I'm definitely on WiFi when I experience the problem. To be extra sure, I even tried it with airplane mode and WiFi both on, which is fine for CSIPSimple or incoming calls but still doesn't work for outgoing calls with the android dialer.
The message pops up instantly, making it seem like a setting on the phone rather than a response to network messages.
For what it's worth, I'm running build MMB29M (android 6.0.1). My phone is unlocked but not rooted. (I can still get root access to /data by booting TWRP, but have never mounted my system partition read-write.) The one thing it might be is that I put a Verizon SIM in my Nexus 6P when first booting it, whereas my other phones were all first booted with a T-mobile SIM. I think that caused some VZW apps to be installed that I since removed; perhaps it messed up other settings. I'm a bit reluctant to wipe my phone and try again, but will do it if it's the only solution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem setting my call barring on the 5310. According to 5310 manual, the default access code for call barring is 12345. The problem is the input field only has 4 spaces for numbers so it fails to activate because I can only enter 1234. BTW, I haven't set any of my own security codes yet. From searching the web I have found people have have this issue with this phone and the access codes. They were given various codes to try, but the matter was not resolved. None of them work. Could someone please tell me what the default access code is for the 5310?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I had the pleasure to setup my brand new Lumia 950 XL (Single SIM unlocked, CV Germany, but provider T-Mobile DE, build 10586.0) today. After the first hours of installation I was able to actually use it and really begin to like it.
But I already came across a major issue. It might be hardware related, but I assume it is software: While making a call (even tuned down to 2G only, Wifi and NFC off, no special apps installed I suppose), the connection gets quiet within a minute or so after enabling or starting with bluetooth, and the phone reboots some seconds later. I do not even need a device to be connected, the scanning for it may be sufficient. The dialog partner sometimes also reports very bad sound quality before it happens.
One of my friend gifted me Blackberry verizon 9630. I subscribed vodafone bb services Rs.599 plan. Vodafone said BB services activated on 20th May 2011. From that date i tried to configure the same, But in vain. The following methods i tried, Host routing table ->Register->registration message sent->then i pulled out the battery and SIM card and again i repeated. Till date i did it nearly 100 times. subsequently i spoke to vodafone chennai. No proper response from them. I can make a call and receive . Also i can send and receive SMS. But Data Services i can't .

I also tryied ics and still it doesnt work but the screen dont freeze.Some times it just enables and then after it disconnects 1-2 times by itself and stops working for 1-2 days.

I have a problem with calls on my Z3 dual and the Answering Machine after the update to L.I don't have Smart Answer enabled -gesture to answer calls- but when I answer a call too close to the time set to the Answering Machine to kick in, when the call reaches this time (say 25 seconds) the call will be interrupted for about 2 to 5 seconds where I can't hear the other party and they can't hear me, and then the call will resume.If I disasble the answering machine, this bug is gone.I have cleared data of the phone app but still this issue persists.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the international Z5c, model E5823, which supports both tmo us LTE bands in my area (bands 2 and 12). When I have preferred network type set to 3G, I get more bars and have data connectivity. When I switch it to 4G, the bars go down to 1 or 2, and I get no data.
I did a logcat while switching from 3G to 4G and noticed that while switching, the icon switches between H+ and H, then eventually drops out. I'm still trying to see if there is anything useful in the logcat, but the one thing I noticed that seemed interesting was D/StatusBar.NetworkController( 2598): updateIconSet, voice network type is: 13/LTE, data network type is: 13/LTETo me, this looks like I might be seeing issues with some failed attempt to use voice over lte (as this phone supports it).
used to be on 2.3.4 if I turn off backround data some applications can't work such as market,gmail,gtalk...etc. it's good for battery and performance of phone it be come more battery friendly

I was having GB version of android on my Xperia Pro. I am using X-plore file manager. When I tried to go to root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. the app said root access disabled and I was never able to get root access. Yesterday I updated to ICS from PC Companion and my app. was already there on my memory card. When I opened the app I was able to go to root folder and the app. haven't said that the root access is disabled. I disabled root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. but I am worrying about wheather any other app. that I install can change my root (default) files. Also my phone is in warranty and it is said that warranty will void if you root your phone. But I have updated my phone through PC Companion and just want to confirm that my warranty won't void.

Only changes from enbled to disabled, and touching on it opens the settings, but there aren't any options to turn it off or hide it. Or I'm missing the option somewhere?

The problem is I don't receive any strong signal like before, right now I don't received any signal at all and when I make a call a pop up message comes on it says 'to make a call you have to turn off the flight mode' but the flight mode is off. I rest and restarted my phone but nothing changed.
