Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Applying Ringtones To Contacts?
Dec 25, 2011I have an Experia x10 Mini pro. Firmare version 2.1 update, kernel 2.6.29 build 2.1.1.A.0.6. I have read through the manual and followed the instructions to asign individual ringtones to contacts. The problem is that when a contact with a specific ringtone calls it only plays the normal ringtone. The ringtones I am trying the use are mp3 files which are drm free and 30 seconds in length. They are on the SD card under audio/ringtones. I also notice that when these contacts call me they show up on screen as unknown.

Jun 28, 2010Is Best Buy good for applying Invisible shield or other products simmilar to this? I know the iPhone has water sensors in almost every port and i want to make sure they don't turn orange and activate.When they apply the shield for you do you get to watch or do they do it in a back room somewhere?
Has anyone gotten this done and how has it turned out? Would you recommend getting the shield put on by Best Buy employees or DIY?I've never had any experience with the protectors that need water or some sort of liquid to be applied. I have put on some cheap screen protectors on my old 3GS and they worked great but i can't seem to find any protectors that cover both the front and back of the phone (sides would be nice too) that don't need liquid to adhere to the phone.
If anyone knows of a phone protector that covers both the front and back of the phone and can be applied without spray it would be extremely helpful. If there are any that include side protection too that would help.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: After Applying 4.5.91 OTA - Failed To Boot
Jul 22, 2011I'm completely stock. Never unlocked any bootloaders or flash anything that messed with the system. I used the Motorola Update software to check for new update and install it. After a reboot, my phone displays the following message "Failed to boot 4" and I can't get the phone to get out of it. The only way I can turn the phone off is with a battery pull. I was on a stock 1.8.3 before this mess. What can I do? Is this a bug in the OTA update?

It brought me to a screen to choose Vol + for custom OS, Vol - to cancel or Home to reload from Samsung. I initially chose Vol - and it just started rebooting again. Did the 3 finger salute and chose the Home button. It's now been sitting on a turquoise screen with the phone info in the top left corner and it states in the middle "Downloading...Do not turn off target" It's been on this screen for about two hours now.

Jun 25, 2014This past week, my phone "fell" and the screen broke beyond all repair. And I'm not talking about a crack...I'm talking about a huge crack as well blue lines being displayed whenever I hit the home button. Other than that, the phone still works. It charges, it syncs, it vibrates when I get calls or messages but I can't see anything on the screen. I know that I can still unlock though. I managed to backup my pictures directly onto my Mac using iPhoto. Besides my pictures and Calendar dates, there wasn't much that I cared for within the actual phone.Â
I went to my local phone service provider place and they told me that since my phone was a 4S and was covered for damage, I could send it to Apple in exchange for a new phone. I already contacted them and received my new 5C. Now, I'm not really worried about the pictures because they're already in my computer; I'm worried about all the Calendar dates that are in my broken 4S. Yes, I did do a backup AFTER it fell so I have a backup ready. But the thing is that I do not wish to sync this onto my new 5C just for the calendar dates. Â
I have an old iPod 4th Generation that I'm willing to use to restore with the backup of my 4S but I don't know how to do that. I was hoping that I could apply the backup of my 4S onto my iPod and then manually enter all the dates that I needed onto my 5C.
