Is there a way to enable dark theme/material OR change the background/text color for the system menus/settings, on my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact? I have searched themes from the store but they are not quite what i'm looking for: they only seems to change the wallpaper, statusbar and maybe even the button colors, but they do not modify the actual "window" background/text colors at all.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been loving my Z5 since I got it, my only sort-of problem has been the lockscreen. The default lockscreen puts a ridiculously dark grey filter over whatever picture I have as a lockscreen, not to mention the obnoxiously large clock nearly in the middle of the screen. I saw that the Galaxy S6 has sensible placed its clock in the top left of the screen and allows you to display whatever lockscreen in splendid, vivid colour. In the past, with my Z1, I simply installed a third-party lockscreen app to get around this but the Z5's thumb scanner isn't compatible with any of these to my knowledge (and I rather like that feature).
It seems a bizarre and backwards creative choice to have a phone screen capable of such vivid colour and resolution, only to have an embarassment of a lockscreen that is so dark and bland. Whilst not being overly tech-savvy, I was wondering if there was any way to change this - either remove the clock, or lighten the screen, or preferably both! (Will Marshmallow allow for more custom options for lockscreens, as I don't mind waiting of that's the case?).

When answering to or making calls the screen will go dark when making or reciving a call and will stay that way until the other side hangs up (since I can't do anythin with the dark screen). Here are the things I've checked:
1) Diagnostics of proximity sensors are fine.
2) Screen protector onoff has no effect on the issue.
i have recently brought a sony xperia z3+. Love the phone and everything is fine. Until a day or two ago. Everytime i make a call the screen goes dark. I can't have access to the speaker or mute button or the dial buttons nothing. Until i press the power button which then terminates the call.

The first update was O.K., but during the second one maybe I did something wrong and now the phone does not start. I remove the battery, start the phone, it vibrates but never starts - for half an hour. When I connect it to PC companion, it says that I should remove the battery, start the phone and connect it again.... The screen is dark, nothing happens.
