View 2 RepliesI've noticed that when I tap the multi-tasking button, not only does it show all the apps I have open, it also show all the google searches I've done. This means there's lots more things to swipe away!
How you can stop google searches showing up here?
How to disable it? Or what the com is called so I can freeze it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally own a Galaxy S6 and now I'm enjoying using the Window Pop-Up Feature on the phone, because I can run my emulator and chat on Whatsapp at the same time... But... The Windowed version of those Apps are too large. Is there a way to overwrite the minimum limit of the pop-up window?
Here a photo of the "problem":
Anywhere that limit is declared....but where? My phone is rooted, so that won't be a problem.
I'm updated to lollipop and I wanted to check twitter while watching YouTube and I can't find twitter on the list anymore. It was there before on kit kat. Is there any way to get twitter back? Why did they remove it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Google nexus 5 for about 14 months now and today he suddenly died on me, I was browsing the web when suddenly the screen went dark, I put it in a charger and it kept booting up again and again, I couldn't even get in some sort of recovery system because by the time I wanted to select something it booted up again. At home I tried everything using NRT (Nexus Root Toolkit) but it keeps saying my phone isn't in bootloader mode which is obviously.. I don't now if it's a software or hardware problem. It is an international 16 gb nexus 5.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe number one thing that frustrates me about most Internet Browsers is the inability to change the settings to have a black webpage background with white letters. White backgrounds are so hurtful on the eyes, especially with a big screen device like the N6. It's additionally a source of bigger battery drain to have bright white pages. Now, for those who remember, changing this used to be possible with the stock "Internet Browser" that came on the Android devices.
I currently use "UC Browser" due to it's ability to change the webpage background to a dark screen with Sepia-colored letters.
Are there any other Browsers that do this or present this ability? And I'm not talking about dimming the entire screen in a poorly implemented "Night Mode" (a correctly implemented one would completely switch the text/background without affecting images).
I'm constantly re-evaluating what I use and would love to have alternatives.
An additional bonus is the VERY strong built-in ad-blocking capabilities of "UC Browser". It completely blocks all injected ads. Go to AndroidCentral using Chrome and you'll see an injected box by "GoogleAdServices" pop-up at the bottom of your screen. The same page with "UC Browser" (with ad-blocking activated) shows nothing but the webpage. I like to have Ads blocked to save bandwidth/data usage, so that's an important feature. What Browsers (or specific extension) blocks these types of Ads (like the ones from Google)? I like Ghostery Browser for this but you can't export Bookmarks.
Is there a way to enable dark theme/material OR change the background/text color for the system menus/settings, on my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact? I have searched themes from the store but they are not quite what i'm looking for: they only seems to change the wallpaper, statusbar and maybe even the button colors, but they do not modify the actual "window" background/text colors at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a problem my co-worker is having; on my phone it's fine. Look at the attached screenshot:
The "selfie" window shows up small rather than full screen. The normal back-facing camera is fine.
When I record video in snapchat specially at night after the phone start recording the front camera is being dark!
And
I've rooted my device and snapchat has stopped my from sign in on this phone , is there any way to sign again without losing root?? (I tried to delete xposed and casper)...
I dont have my phone just yet, but i've played with one recently. and i noticed when trying to compare it with my galaxy s5 that when i was recording video at night there was display lag. What i mean is i'd pan the camera left and the screen was a half second behind it. I've experienced this before with older phones usually from the shutter speed i believe? but when samsung somehow did away with it (at least with my s5) I was unexpectant to see it again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow come when I add different themes they don't stay after a reboot? I'll add a whole theme...then just add a status bar from another theme and after a reboot it defaults to my first theme applied. I've tried different combos of adding themes and no go.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was recently on chroma rom with a layers theme applied and I decided to go back to stock and it seems like the layers theme stayed through all the flashes.... I'm not complaining because I much prefer my theme then the stock theme but I'm just curious as to why it stuck
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had installed a layers theme on my rooted nexus 6p running pure nexus rom. After i rebooted the phone it went into bootloop.
So i got into twrp recovery and factory reset the phone . Flashed the necessary files but it still continued to bootloop. I formatted the internal storage and flashed Chroma Rom but the issue persists.
I downloaded the nature live theme on my curve 8520 it does-not appear on the theme page.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFor months I was happily using my Nexus 5 with a SoundID 300 earpiece. Pushing the call button went into a dialer dialog with voice prompts and responses. Suddenly a few weeks ago it started going to the Google Now (aka Google Search?) function (the one you get when you say "OK Google"). Although it will generally recognize the same voice commands as the dialer dialog, there are no voice prompts or responses, so if Google Now has crashed or decides to prompt on screen for "OK or Cancel", I have to get the phone out and look at it to see why it didn't dial.
View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday I did an update to several programs including Google and noticed major battery drain. I was not sure which program did it but checked Battery in Settings and saw it was the screen causing the drain. Apparently when the Google program updated, it changed the setting for automatic brightness adjustment to ON. I turned it off and the battery is fine. I keep brightness set to about one quarter to one third brightness. I think the battery life is great and I can easily get thru the day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running Cataclysm ROM (the Sept. 10 beta), Franco kernel, and I'm rooted and use Xposed. I receive this error when I try to add a card in Android Pay: "Android Pay cannot be used: Google is unable to verify that your device of the software running on it is Android compatible". I tried disabling root entirely and using RootCloak (Xposed) to hide root from Android Pay and Google Wallet, but I still can't use Pay. Wallet still works as it always has.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.
