I have just purchased the Mini ST15i and each time my finger contacts the screen a fine blue lightening like line follows where my finger has touched. The line is present on all screens I select. Not sure if this is a phone fault or something I have accidentally set up while experimenting with the phone. It was not present when I first got the phone which makes me think it is the latter.
I dropped my phone last week and shattered a part of the screen. The phone continued to work fine and I kept using for a week before I replaced the screen, following these instructions I found on this forum and using this part from ebay. Replacing the phone went pretty well. Now the touchscreen and other phone features work with the new screen, but the screen has black and/or green lines at the top all the time:
What problem does this look like? Did I get a bad part, or did I mess up while replacing the screen?
I also had one tiny little square rubber part on the table when I was done reassembling the phone, but all buttons are pressing normally and everything, besides the screen, is working. The part doesn't seem important, but here's what it looks like:
I woke up this morning to find the screen on my Z2 to be very off colour with hundreds of horizontal lines consistently moving down the screen. I haven't damaged my phone in any way recently, why this is occuring.
I would put it down to a hardware defect, however when my phone locks itself and I go the unlock it, or if I leave it for a few minutes, the screen will be fine for a few seconds or so, until it gradually fades to a white, then pinkish colour with vertical lines, and then blueish white horizontal lines will begin to move down the phone until it becomes quite impossible to actually use it. I've also just noticed that the lines get much worse when I'm actually using my phone rather than just staring at it idly, so it must be touch triggered or something?
I've had this phone since around December after it replaced a lost one, and haven't had any issues so far. I would take it to the phone shop to get it repaired, but I know that will leave me without a phone for 1 - 2 weeks, which just isn't an option. I'd just like to know what the exact issue is before forking out £50 for a new screen.
Newbie here with a brand spanking new Xperia 8.This may seem petty, but on the camera viewing screen there are two black lines down either side, similar to a widescreen TV broadcasting a show that is in a non-widescreen normal format.
I have convinced myself that I have done something to make this happen and that it wasn't like that at first. So my question is, can these be removed in some setting somewhere is this how it actually is all the time?
I bought a Nokia 5530 in Xtra Vision recently and I've been having minor problems.. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?
I am facing this problem with my Nokia N81 just starting from today. Whenever, I slide it to access the keypad, it's screen turns corrupted with funky lines and random things on the screen. What could be the problem? Could it be the hardware or software?
my Blackberry screen randomly has two thin lines on its screen. It's not actually the outer screen, just the inside with the graphics. I recently noticed those lines and I just find it annoying to see.
I'm pulling my hair out every time I use this phone. I have heard you can adjust the touch screen to make it less sensitive, but I've got no idea how to do it!
Having just spent hours setting up my new phone, I noticed that there are 2 lines going across the screen one near the top and one near the bottom of equal distance. I initially thought it was dust and wiped it off, however within a minute or so the lines returned. Cant believe it! I love the phone but I cant have it with these lines across the screen.
I have lg g3 international model yesterday I've started to notice very faint vertical lines on the screen when on a white background. Its gonna be ok or not?
I have these lines on my touch screen, the touch screen works fine, but the lines are annoying and it doesnt seem like physical damage because i never dropped it or cause impact to it in any way.
At first there was 1 line, the it started increasing slowly, and now there are 8 lines on the screen.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, just over two years old. Thin lines are beginning to appear across the screen, mainly horizonta. ones. Can I do something to fix them? Or is this the beginning of the end?
Yesterday my daughter came home from school with her phone not working. Screen has one thicker vertical line down the middle and then lighter lines down the screen right across. It won't make or receive calls. She swears it wasn't dropped.
My 8520 curve has white lines across bottom of screen and i think it needs to be replaced. When i looked into this there are 2 screens how can i tell which one i need without tacking the phone apart?
I unlocked my phone today to find that the screen had some very thin/fine rainbow colored vertical distortion lines on the screen. They seemed to have been pulsating (as if someone was holding another electromagnetic object close to it or something) and it looked like static distortion. I checked multiple screens and apps and they all resulted in the same discolored distortion lines.
I had to completely power down my phone and turn it back on. After that, it was OK. First time I had this type of experience so far...
I dropped my iPhone just a few hours ago, but didnt check its condition. A few hours later, when i turned my phone on, the screen was grey with blue lines. I could still hear the lock sounds and could feel the vibrations when someone called.
Ok so a while ago my blackberry ended up accidentally underneath the big box part of a laptop charger thing don't know what that part is called but yea, it was under that for less then a minute. The screen went funny and had 2 lines randomly down 1 side. I did a battery pull etc but everytime I did it progressivly got worse. In the space of around a week to 2 weeks it went from 2 lines to multiple lines to eventually a pure White screen. Is this fixable? Do I just need to replace the screen?
a couple of days ago,i began to realize that there were moving vertical lines across the screen.the lines are most visible when my light sensor(intensity) settings is set at 75%. it only came to my attention when i hard resetted my phone 2 days ago and the intensity settings was reverted to its default 75%(i've kept it customized at 25% until 2 days ago).the moving vertical lines are less visible in darker backgrounds and at a lower light intensity.i was just wondering-is this normal?
my BB has developed a problem that has worsened as the hours pass by. It started with a horizontal white line at the bottom of the screen and this has now developed to the whole screen having the same problem so now it looks like it has a kind of whitish mask over the whole of the screen. I have removed the battery and then put it back but this did not work. Tried to switch on and off and no change.
