I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, just over two years old. Thin lines are beginning to appear across the screen, mainly horizonta. ones. Can I do something to fix them? Or is this the beginning of the end?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to find the screen on my Z2 to be very off colour with hundreds of horizontal lines consistently moving down the screen. I haven't damaged my phone in any way recently, why this is occuring.
I would put it down to a hardware defect, however when my phone locks itself and I go the unlock it, or if I leave it for a few minutes, the screen will be fine for a few seconds or so, until it gradually fades to a white, then pinkish colour with vertical lines, and then blueish white horizontal lines will begin to move down the phone until it becomes quite impossible to actually use it. I've also just noticed that the lines get much worse when I'm actually using my phone rather than just staring at it idly, so it must be touch triggered or something?
I've had this phone since around December after it replaced a lost one, and haven't had any issues so far. I would take it to the phone shop to get it repaired, but I know that will leave me without a phone for 1 - 2 weeks, which just isn't an option. I'd just like to know what the exact issue is before forking out £50 for a new screen.
My IPhone 5S is about 8 months old and still under warranty.
4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.
I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.
On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.
On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.
When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have these lines on my touch screen, the touch screen works fine, but the lines are annoying and it doesnt seem like physical damage because i never dropped it or cause impact to it in any way.
At first there was 1 line, the it started increasing slowly, and now there are 8 lines on the screen.
my Blackberry screen randomly has two thin lines on its screen. It's not actually the outer screen, just the inside with the graphics. I recently noticed those lines and I just find it annoying to see.

It started with a horizontal white line at the bottom of the screen and this has now developed to the whole screen having the same problem so now it looks like it has a kind of whitish mask over the whole of the screen. I have removed the battery and then put it back but this did not work. Tried to switch on and off and no change.

However a few days ago I unlocked my phone to make a call and the screen was just completely not working! Its a white screen with pink lines going vertically. I dont have insurance. Sometimes when I hit the phone a few times and press the lock button, it would go back to normal, but then it will return. Is the LCD display broken? I've opened the BB to see if it was loose, it is not. I've taken battery out and re-inserted to no avail.

I can really only see the top of the screen where the volume options are but it appears to be black and white.

Keep getting a white screen when I leave the phone for a bit, to get rid of it i can hit the lock/unlock button, somedays that doesnt work i have to pop the battery out. It started off with this problem happening once a week, about ten times a day. I take really good care of my phone, always keep it in a case. No water damage or anything.
I have Bold 9700. When I am typing my password to unlock the phone, I can see the letters appear instead of ***** in the password box. If I enter the password as was set, it is not accepted. As I am on the last attempt before the phone is wiped.

They seemed to have been pulsating (as if someone was holding another electromagnetic object close to it or something) and it looked like static distortion.
