View 5 RepliesThere are black horizontal lines on the right side of my screen and i don't know what the problem is.

I dropped my phone last week and shattered a part of the screen. The phone continued to work fine and I kept using for a week before I replaced the screen, following these instructions I found on this forum and using this part from ebay. Replacing the phone went pretty well. Now the touchscreen and other phone features work with the new screen, but the screen has black and/or green lines at the top all the time:
What problem does this look like? Did I get a bad part, or did I mess up while replacing the screen?
I also had one tiny little square rubber part on the table when I was done reassembling the phone, but all buttons are pressing normally and everything, besides the screen, is working. The part doesn't seem important, but here's what it looks like:
my phone shows horizontal lines since yesterday which makes viewing difficult?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to find the screen on my Z2 to be very off colour with hundreds of horizontal lines consistently moving down the screen. I haven't damaged my phone in any way recently, why this is occuring.
Â
I would put it down to a hardware defect, however when my phone locks itself and I go the unlock it, or if I leave it for a few minutes, the screen will be fine for a few seconds or so, until it gradually fades to a white, then pinkish colour with vertical lines, and then blueish white horizontal lines will begin to move down the phone until it becomes quite impossible to actually use it. I've also just noticed that the lines get much worse when I'm actually using my phone rather than just staring at it idly, so it must be touch triggered or something?

I've had this phone since around December after it replaced a lost one, and haven't had any issues so far. I would take it to the phone shop to get it repaired, but I know that will leave me without a phone for 1 - 2 weeks, which just isn't an option. I'd just like to know what the exact issue is before forking out £50 for a new screen.
I have recently notices black horizontal lines across the photos I take with the camera app. Have not tested this out with any third party apps yet.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have been having issues with my bb 9900 with regard to horizontal lines appearing on the screen. how do i get rid of them?
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy BB has developed a problem that has worsened as the hours pass by. It started with a horizontal white line at the bottom of the screen and this has now developed to the whole screen having the same problem so now it looks like it has a kind of whitish mask over the whole of the screen. I have removed the battery and then put it back but this did not work. Tried to switch on and off and no change.
View 2 Replies View RelatedTorch 9800 in March around 3-4 weeks later I started having a number of issues:When my phone is in lock mode I tend to check the screen by pressing the call end button..... sometimes when I do this it leaves one band of a horizontal white line (about 1cm thick) that appears across the screen. At other times when I have done the same thing the message that appears when you check in lock mode is. 'Screen is locked. Press the lock button to unlock' but in stead of saying the itThe final issue I have had is when I am on an app say Facebook, I close the app and it still shows the headings 'Facebook' and 'News Feed' on my home screen page and to get rid of it I have to open the option tray.I have already taken it into my network provider for them to send it away and have it looked into but I have now received it back and the problem still persists
View 1 Replies View RelatedI brought my iPhone 5s last month, i noticed that my phone have Gray/Black lines at the bottom of the screen, after using more and more the lines grow more and more. Now my Screen is half Covered with those lines.
I tried Resetting my Phone and Restarting it and it still doesn't fix it.

They are very thin and extend almost the width of the screen. I assume this is some kind of screen defect, but it's pretty subtle. I'm considering waiting until WP8.1 comes out so I don't have to redo my start screen with a replacement unit. However, extremely small screen imperfections and maybe if they are normal for fairly large IPS displays.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Moto X's screen keeps acting strange, at least once a week. The screen is full of horizontal lines, and i can't see much, even with the brightness at the highest. Sometimes it's for a couple of minutes, sometimes for at least an hour. This time, it's been way pas 2 hours. I need to know why it keeps doing this (See Images). I thought it was due to the sometimes high temperature of the phone, but even when it's at a low temperature, it might happen.
This is when the brightness is really low:

So recently I have purchased my samsung s6 but I dropped it twice. Unfortunately, the second time it was dropped it started blinking with horizontal lines. It still works but the blinking is kind of annoying. I already restarted it and turned it off but nothing works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a s2. About a month ago it started showing horizontal grey lines across the bottom of the screen. If I turn it off/on then they sometimes disappear completely and sometimes worse than before I turned it off. Following other posts on the net, tried turning my brightness up and if I turn it up all the way the lines never appear. The only problem is that I can't use the phone at this level of brightness. would be grateful if someone could post a fix. I kinda remember reading about screen tests you can do on the phone itself but can't find it again. Maybe if I could re-calibrate the screen that would fix it?
View 6 Replies View RelatedNewbie here with a brand spanking new Xperia 8.This may seem petty, but on the camera viewing screen there are two black lines down either side, similar to a widescreen TV broadcasting a show that is in a non-widescreen normal format.
I have convinced myself that I have done something to make this happen and that it wasn't like that at first. So my question is, can these be removed in some setting somewhere is this how it actually is all the time?
Whenever I seem to unlock the phone on the side, or whenever i switch it on vertical /horizontal coloured lines appear on screen. I have tried firmware updates but nothing is working. I've bought the phone second hand, and had it a while, and have no recipet for it..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have this strange screen problem with my k850i, it doesn't go blank, but gets all fuzzy with lots of horizontal lines (very pixelated), you can still see the screen images, but it's difficult - and then all of a sudden it comes back picture perfect. I've updated all software, run a repair - everything I can think of. I can't figure out if it's a loose wire or something else.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a SE xperia mini pro. With versión 2.3.3 (4.0.A.2.277) work ok, the screen rotate and virtual keyboard works fine.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased the Mini ST15i and each time my finger contacts the screen a fine blue lightening like line follows where my finger has touched. The line is present on all screens I select. Not sure if this is a phone fault or something I have accidentally set up while experimenting with the phone. It was not present when I first got the phone which makes me think it is the latter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads. What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
when I was texting on my iPhone 5s my screen went black then horizontal blue and white lines showed up and then turned black and white horizontal lines turned on gliched and slowly blue lines covered the screen for 5 minute then turned black and now it will not turn on , I'm really concerned also I hit the home button and the on button at the same time and it didn't work I hope you find my letter soon I need my phone to work and I have bought apple products for years this never happened ever
