Mar 24, 2011

Wondering if anyone else has experienced 5-10 thin blue lines/streaks in their display (red on a black background). I first noticed the issue when using my Kindle app a few months ago. Eventually they disappeared but now they've returned. It has been several days and like last time, don't go away with a device reboot or reset.
I just bought my Lg g4 on sunday. I didn't notice these lines ar first when I bought it. But after going home... Charging it and then started using it... I started seeing these fine white lines... Like the ones in old monitors. They are not thar noticeable. But still... I had the lg g3 and the display was amazing! I don't feel that hd quality in this phone with those horizontal lines.
My Bold 9780 has a white screen with two thin red lines down it, I have tried doing the update as per blackberry solutions on pc, however it says 'no updates found' and the problem remains. I must admit that I tapped the phone in frustration and the screen was back to normal. For a while obviously there is a connection problem somewhere.
Recently I've noticed black lines along the bottom and top of my screen. Done full software reboot etc, and the lines don't come up when I take screenshots on my phone.
my BB has developed a problem that has worsened as the hours pass by. It started with a horizontal white line at the bottom of the screen and this has now developed to the whole screen having the same problem so now it looks like it has a kind of whitish mask over the whole of the screen. I have removed the battery and then put it back but this did not work. Tried to switch on and off and no change.
Torch 9800 in March around 3-4 weeks later I started having a number of issues:When my phone is in lock mode I tend to check the screen by pressing the call end button..... sometimes when I do this it leaves one band of a horizontal white line (about 1cm thick) that appears across the screen. At other times when I have done the same thing the message that appears when you check in lock mode is. 'Screen is locked. Press the lock button to unlock' but in stead of saying the itThe final issue I have had is when I am on an app say Facebook, I close the app and it still shows the headings 'Facebook' and 'News Feed' on my home screen page and to get rid of it I have to open the option tray.I have already taken it into my network provider for them to send it away and have it looked into but I have now received it back and the problem still persists
I brought my iPhone 5s last month, i noticed that my phone have Gray/Black lines at the bottom of the screen, after using more and more the lines grow more and more. Now my Screen is half Covered with those lines.
I tried Resetting my Phone and Restarting it and it still doesn't fix it.
Does anyone know what specs of the blackberry presenter. Im running VGA through my aaxa p4 pico projector and everything shows up fine except there are some black horizontal lines across the top and middle of the projection.
Is there a particular hz the presenter is trying to get? is there something wrong with my vga cable?
I woke up this morning to find the screen on my Z2 to be very off colour with hundreds of horizontal lines consistently moving down the screen. I haven't damaged my phone in any way recently, why this is occuring.
I would put it down to a hardware defect, however when my phone locks itself and I go the unlock it, or if I leave it for a few minutes, the screen will be fine for a few seconds or so, until it gradually fades to a white, then pinkish colour with vertical lines, and then blueish white horizontal lines will begin to move down the phone until it becomes quite impossible to actually use it. I've also just noticed that the lines get much worse when I'm actually using my phone rather than just staring at it idly, so it must be touch triggered or something?
I've had this phone since around December after it replaced a lost one, and haven't had any issues so far. I would take it to the phone shop to get it repaired, but I know that will leave me without a phone for 1 - 2 weeks, which just isn't an option. I'd just like to know what the exact issue is before forking out £50 for a new screen.
They are very thin and extend almost the width of the screen. I assume this is some kind of screen defect, but it's pretty subtle. I'm considering waiting until WP8.1 comes out so I don't have to redo my start screen with a replacement unit. However, extremely small screen imperfections and maybe if they are normal for fairly large IPS displays.
My Moto X's screen keeps acting strange, at least once a week. The screen is full of horizontal lines, and i can't see much, even with the brightness at the highest. Sometimes it's for a couple of minutes, sometimes for at least an hour. This time, it's been way pas 2 hours. I need to know why it keeps doing this (See Images). I thought it was due to the sometimes high temperature of the phone, but even when it's at a low temperature, it might happen.
So recently I have purchased my samsung s6 but I dropped it twice. Unfortunately, the second time it was dropped it started blinking with horizontal lines. It still works but the blinking is kind of annoying. I already restarted it and turned it off but nothing works.
I have a s2. About a month ago it started showing horizontal grey lines across the bottom of the screen. If I turn it off/on then they sometimes disappear completely and sometimes worse than before I turned it off. Following other posts on the net, tried turning my brightness up and if I turn it up all the way the lines never appear. The only problem is that I can't use the phone at this level of brightness. would be grateful if someone could post a fix. I kinda remember reading about screen tests you can do on the phone itself but can't find it again. Maybe if I could re-calibrate the screen that would fix it?
my Blackberry screen randomly has two thin lines on its screen. It's not actually the outer screen, just the inside with the graphics. I recently noticed those lines and I just find it annoying to see.
Whenever I seem to unlock the phone on the side, or whenever i switch it on vertical /horizontal coloured lines appear on screen. I have tried firmware updates but nothing is working. I've bought the phone second hand, and had it a while, and have no recipet for it..
I have this strange screen problem with my k850i, it doesn't go blank, but gets all fuzzy with lots of horizontal lines (very pixelated), you can still see the screen images, but it's difficult - and then all of a sudden it comes back picture perfect. I've updated all software, run a repair - everything I can think of. I can't figure out if it's a loose wire or something else.
When i want to use message and i turn the phone horizontal the screen turns off as soon as I start typing. This only happens in message. I can be using the internet and works just fine when i am typing.
There is no issues when i leave the phone vertical and use message.
I dont know why now my display doesnt switch from vertical to horizontal view, even shaking it.- Only goes horizontal when I slide out the keyboard, or when the camera is loaded, Maybe the cause is some misconfiguration or the sensor is faulty ?
Iphone 5s – can you manage your main screen and phone / message to display in Horizontal mode like when your phone is in a Mount on Dashboard. The Mail center will go horizontal only along w/ Maps.
I ordered my Xoom from amazon.com, and exactly one day after their 30 day return period my tablet awakened showing only vertical lines. I am able to do a forced power-up (Volume up, power) but all you can see is the tablet going through the appropriately-colored start sequence, complete with the pulsating blue and purple honeycomb sequence - but with only somewhat compressed vertical lines. You can't really see where anything is on the screen, which has made it impossible to really acheive a factory reset start sequence. I've tried searching for this problem and haven't found it anywhere. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.
Motorola suggested checking with place of purchase for return/exchange policy and/or returning the tablet to them. Mainly I'm curious if any others have experienced this and to let anyone who is know that they aren't the only one.
I love my Xoom, and after only 36hrs without it I am already missing it. Not looking forward to another couple of weeks.
I have two Motorola Photon 4G phones for about a month. One of them started to show 10 vertical darker lines about 1mm wide separated by lighter bands about 4 mm wide. They are visible with the display off and on. I attach a part of a photo of the screen when the phone was off.
