How to disable A-GPS on Xperia Mini Pro SK17i to avoid data transfer while roaming? (And accept longer GPS fix)
Is this: Setting > Location & securiti: uncheck Use wireless networks and leave only Use GPS satellites.I want to just disable the A-GPS but not all data transfer (Internet, mail, ... on demand)
I am off to Spain for a couple of weeks. I would like to use my phone abroad but not the internet through the data or anything else that uses the data There is free wifi at the Hotel so I just want to use that. How do I avoid any additional charges other than for phone calls. Are there specific settings that I need to change temporarily
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have ics installed in sk17i. I cannot disable the word suggestions that come on top of the on board keyboard which result in lesser space to view when writing a message. I have checked out language and input settings and disabled all learning words and no suggestion required from the keyboard. Also have changed the settings that come in the on board keyboard doing the same there. However the word suggestion still comes. The hardware qwerty keypad however doesn't show any suggestion.

so i check on user manuel that i can use Single mode on network parameter and put it only in GSM . But when i try to use the web or ovi the system ask my to connect my internet and it's work , but i'm always in GSM mode , so i suppose that GSM mode cannot the good option for disable ALL DATA TRAFFIC.

I was told to put the phone on airplane mode, so as to avoid any roaming charges, as my fellow travel companions (who all also owned iPhones), said "that way nothing comes through. No wi-fi, messages, nothing".

I have also noticed that reminder is not working while the screen is off, it's work only when the screen is on. it's really annoying. Please fix this issue as soon as possible.It dosen't even work for calender too.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI know this thread is a year old, but I have to drag it up again as it seems Motorola haven't dealt with this problem yet. I have owned a Defy since a few weeks. I have a German vodafone contract which gives me a data roaming flatrate for several countries including Italy, where I am a lot of the time. And this roaming warning is driving me insane!! It pops up about 50 times a day (I live in an area with weak connection, so my phone loses the network sometimes, but finds it again after a few seconds, and up pops this warning), turns the screen on, drains the battery. It also pops up continually while I am driving and using the phone as a navigator, so I have to continually check "yes" so I can see the screen again, which can be pretty dangerous if you are driving on winding mountain roads...

The device works fine in Mass Storage Mode, so the connectivity cable & ports are alright. Then I tried with the 'Device Manager' Updating, Uninstalling & Reinstalling & even changing the ports. The device still fail to start in MTP Mode as the Windows 7 would say.
