Xperia Z5 :: Japanese Symbols In Notification Instead Of Emoji
Mar 10, 2015
I noticed today that notifications for incoming whatsapp messages in a whatsapp-group with emojis in its groupname (heart-emoji) show some japanese symbols instead of the heart.
I started to text earlier and I noticed my keyboard had changed and now its the Japanese one. Ive gone into setting and keyboard but I cant seem to change it back to standard.
I can't change my Xperia X8 phone language to Japanese. I`ve try, to go to SETTING --> LANGUAGE & KEYBOARD --> SELECT LOCALE but i can't find option for Japanese,
At the top of the screen, in the statusline, there are some symbols I don't understand. I get warnings that I have shut down datatraffic and roaming, but there is still a small R on the statusline. Furthermore there was two arrows to the left, and this change into small boxes with a red cross when I switched off the datatraffic My question is: is my phone sat to download and upload with the R still on, wich will probably cost a lot of money, and how can I switch it off if necessary? Witch services will I not be able to use with the datatraffic switched off?
I have been trying to work this out all morning but I cannot work out how to turn on Japanese Keyboard.the is language and keyboards in setting but this does not turn on the keyboard input when you are typing.
I have a Xperia pro (MK16a) So when you're entering text, if you hold down on the screen, you have the option to choose Japanese input and Chinese input. And when you choose Japanese input, you can also open up the setting menu, and inside the menu there are options for physical keyboard, and vitural keyboard. Although Chinese input does not have those settings, but surprisingly I CAN use Chinese input with my physical slide out keybaord. BUT, it is NOT the case with Japanese input. Please give me some guidence on how this works, is it a BUG or something? Because clearly it SUPPOSE to have the option to use my slideout keyboard for Japanese input.
I am planning on buying x10 mini pro.i am clueless if this is the case for x10 mini.cause on my W995 the Japanese characters are displayed. If it is supported, i wonder is there anyone with the Euro. vers. of x10 mini able to write and send sms in Japanese or Korean??
I am unable to access the special symbols - when I press the symbol key on my phone keypad nothing happens. I've tried software updates and asking my supplier. Do i need to return it to my supplier for them to return to Sony?
I have got a new Xperia X10 mini Pro. Th problem is that the slide out keyboard mapping is probably wrong or some setting needs to be done. When I press a key with "?" on the slideout keyboard I get a ":" on the screen. This happens for other symbols also Numbers and alphets are correct only the symbols are messed up.
my keyboard has arabic characters as well. But after the ICS update the symbols on the physical keyboard (the ones in blue) dont correspond when I type them out. E.g:
" : " types as " & " " ) " types as " % " " @ " types as " : "
My keyboard now supports symbols such as $, Pound Sign etc. I dont really use arabic but only the english keyboard. Is there fix for this or is it settings related? My SI number is on the list and my android build number is 4.1.B.0.431?
How to install and use the Emoji. I could not find a solution here. I even tried using a few apps from the Play Store but it didn't work at all. Also, I would like to view and read the Emoji's all over the phone wherever it's possible.I am using HTC One and currently running on 4.2.2 Jellybean.
I have an LG G3 running 5.0.1. My girlfriend has an IPhone and when she sends me emojis i cant see some of them. i looked up the wikipedia page for the unicode standard for emoji, and my phone cant display all of them. How do i fix this problem? I have tried 3rd party keyboards, that doesnt fix it.
I've been seeing new emojis like "pizza money" and a lot of others. And people are saying that the new emojis show up on the iOS 5.1 update, u already updated mine and my emoji is the same??? Does anyone know what I need to do to get them? Or exactly what app it is? I have the first emoji that comes up on the app store.
I installed the Emoji-free app (IIRC from the official app store), and while I can send texts to myself I can't to other iphones. I get the error "Free Msg: Unable to send message to XX. Please try again without a symbol in the text."
Does the recipient of the text have to have Emoji installed as well? Or is this a T-mobile/jailbreak thing?
I was texting a friend today and he asked me why my text to him came in five different messages when there were only enough characters to fit into two messages. So I tried typing the same message again and a noticed that when I use emojis the character limit changes from 160 to 70. This happens on my One m7 with the HTC keyboard, Google keyboard, swiftkey, android l keyboard, and fleksy. Only keyboard it doesn't happen with is swype but I would hardly call swype's 15 face options emojis.
Not sure if this is the right place for this. But on my new 950xl I am noticing that I can send emojis, but I cannot receive them. They come as just squares. It's not selling my friends on Windows Mobile since we can't communicate as we normally have.
I don't know if I'm the only one but for some reason my s6 is lagging like crazy when scrolling down emoji it's not smooth at all and I don't remember how it was when I got it but I know that it stays the same no matter what rom or kernel. Otherwise the phone is very smooth and fast especially on custom kernels and Roms even the benchmark shows nothing unusual.
I came across the app Emoji Font for FlipFont 1 that allows you to change the emojis on your device to the iOS emojis without rooting by changing the system font for the phone. The only problem is that it also changes the text font to an extremely ugly font that is much more difficult to read. If it's possible, how to modify the apk file for me and change the font it uses to the default font on the galaxy s6 and send me the apk file to download and install.
I have a GalaxyS5 running on 4.4.2 (the latest from my carrier) I've never been able to see emoji in texts. It didn't bother me until recently when it seems everyone has gotten on the emoji bandwagon.
I can send emoji and I can see them and everyone else can see them just fine but when they send them its just jibberish on my end.
I've tried a bunch of different apps with plugins and no dice. I've also scanned the phone through AVG and there's no virus.
