Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Symbols At The Top, What Does It Mean
Nov 18, 2010At the top of the screen, in the statusline, there are some symbols I don't understand. I get warnings that I have shut down datatraffic and roaming, but there is still a small R on the statusline. Furthermore there was two arrows to the left, and this change into small boxes with a red cross when I switched off the datatraffic My question is: is my phone sat to download and upload with the R still on, wich will probably cost a lot of money, and how can I switch it off if necessary? Witch services will I not be able to use with the datatraffic switched off?

Th problem is that the slide out keyboard mapping is probably wrong or some setting needs to be done.When I press a key with "?" on the slideout keyboard I get a ":" on the screen. This happens for other symbols also Numbers and alphets are correct only the symbols are messed up.

Jun 23, 2012my keyboard has arabic characters as well. But after the ICS update the symbols on the physical keyboard (the ones in blue) dont correspond when I type them out. E.g:

My keyboard now supports symbols such as $, Pound Sign etc. I dont really use arabic but only the english keyboard.Is there fix for this or is it settings related? My SI number is on the list and my android build number is 4.1.B.0.431?

Is there a time limit of inactivity before Skype signs you out? I was under the impression that you were 'online' until you signed out?

Dec 25, 2011N8 is showing signs of having problems. It suddenly stopped saving photos so I lost a load without realizing it. I rebooted it with a hold on the power button. It still crashes when I get a sms, the touch screen is unresponsive quite a lot and randomly. I tried resetting it to factory but that has made it even worse as the stupid gps thing keeps starting up all the time and Purple tinged screen is also back.

Jun 23, 2014The problem with my phone is that it was working last night and now it wont turn on ive tried everything i can think of holding the home and power button for 20 seconds did nothing charging it did nothing the only thing that my phone is able to do is go into DFU mode and then it will put me in recovery mode during recovery mode my phone wont do anything it will just remain a black screen finally while itunes says waiting for iphone during recovery a error will pop up it is called error 4005.

Aug 10, 2010I have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

Now when I go to galleries on my phone, there are error signs on some of the images. When I try and go back to the DCIM folder, the folder I renamed (as well as the 100Media folder where it stored all my pictures) is gone. Is there any way to get it back?

Apr 19, 2010I have a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic that is 3 months old And I've had no problems with it until recently.It has come to my attention that When I send smiley faces or winks such as ^___^ or ^___~, the ^ and ~ signs do not show up to whomever i send the text message to and only the underscore ___ is seen by the reciever. In my inbox it shows those symbols but in the reciever's inbox it's just an underscore. I'm not sure if that happens to other characters since i mainly use those two.I update the software/firmware (I'm not familiar with the terminology) frequently. So I'm not sure if this problem is just the phone that I recieved or if not all phones could recieve the ^ /~ sign (i doubt it though).

Dec 3, 2010a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...

Nov 10, 2010Just wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.

Jan 26, 2010I have a E72 latest firmware bought in the UK, made in Finland.The keyboard appears to be a English design with no other symbols but the software seems to be finnish becaue when i press the full stop button it comes up with รค and i have to press ! to use the full stop. There are other keys like this too.
