Jul 19, 2010When I press shift & Sym I only get the option to insert around six symbols. I don't know how to bring up an underscore or currency symbols.

Nov 18, 2010At the top of the screen, in the statusline, there are some symbols I don't understand. I get warnings that I have shut down datatraffic and roaming, but there is still a small R on the statusline. Furthermore there was two arrows to the left, and this change into small boxes with a red cross when I switched off the datatraffic My question is: is my phone sat to download and upload with the R still on, wich will probably cost a lot of money, and how can I switch it off if necessary? Witch services will I not be able to use with the datatraffic switched off?

Th problem is that the slide out keyboard mapping is probably wrong or some setting needs to be done.When I press a key with "?" on the slideout keyboard I get a ":" on the screen. Sep 7, 2010Somehow I set the default currency to the British pound, so everytime I hit the $ on the keyboard, the british pound symbol comes up.
I tried to go to options then Typing and Input>Keyboard just like Blackberry tells you to and supposedly there is a choice to change the default currency key, but I don't have that option when I go into the keyboard menu. Can someone tell me another way to do this or expain why the option to change the default currency key is missing from my screen when I go into keyboard options.

Jun 23, 2012my keyboard has arabic characters as well. But after the ICS update the symbols on the physical keyboard (the ones in blue) dont correspond when I type them out. E.g:

My keyboard now supports symbols such as $, Pound Sign etc. I dont really use arabic but only the english keyboard.Is there fix for this or is it settings related? My SI number is on the list and my android build number is 4.1.B.0.431?

Jan 27, 2010Does anyone know if there's an app that can bring up an actualy dialpad when starting a new message? It would be handy for numbers I don't have in my contacts. JB or not, doesn't matter. Edit: Sorry I misspoke, it's for typing in the recipient's number. It's quicker for me to dial on a keypad than it is to dial the numbers on the keyboard.

Apr 23, 2011When I press the contacts button on my droid x to bring up contacts the red arrow starts to circle like it is starting up and then I get back to the main screen. Galaxy S5 :: How To Bring Up Multi Windows Without Using Setting Each Time
Nov 17, 2015The only way I can use my multi window is to go to settings, turn multi off and on again. Then the multi window appears on the left. But I have no arrow that's supposed to open from the home screen, another casualty of the 5.1.1 update that lost my "back" and "recent/menu" functions. I have a 3rd party app that restores "back" and "recent", but not "menu". Multi window now only appears by itself when I click a link in a text message, but I have about 8 apps available in that window.
How I can bring up multi window without using settings each time?? I tried 3rd party apps that can bring more apps into multi window, but I can't get to the multi window itself. I am not rooted, running 5.1.1
