IPhone :: App That Bring Up Dialpad For New SMS?
Jan 27, 2010Does anyone know if there's an app that can bring up an actualy dialpad when starting a new message? It would be handy for numbers I don't have in my contacts. JB or not, doesn't matter. Edit: Sorry I misspoke, it's for typing in the recipient's number. It's quicker for me to dial on a keypad than it is to dial the numbers on the keyboard.

Contacts will not come up. This happened once before and the Verizon tech person had me to a hard reboot and I had to reset my email, download my contacts again and a lot of other stuff. Nov 17, 2015The only way I can use my multi window is to go to settings, turn multi off and on again. Then the multi window appears on the left. But I have no arrow that's supposed to open from the home screen, another casualty of the 5.1.1 update that lost my "back" and "recent/menu" functions. I have a 3rd party app that restores "back" and "recent", but not "menu". Multi window now only appears by itself when I click a link in a text message, but I have about 8 apps available in that window.
How I can bring up multi window without using settings each time?? I tried 3rd party apps that can bring more apps into multi window, but I can't get to the multi window itself. I am not rooted, running 5.1.1

Apr 29, 2011While on speakerphone the display will naturally go dark after awhile. But if I need to turn speakerphone off and remain in the call, how do I do this? Obviously I would need to bring the display back up so I can tap the speakerphone button, but I can't seem to get the display to come back while in the call. If I briefly tap the power button, the call is dropped. Touching the volume or camera button won't bring the display back, so what is one to do? Drop the call and call them back?

BB Bold 9700 :: Holding Talk Button Used To Bring Up Phone Book?
Feb 11, 2010I just went from the 8310 to the 9700 and right off noticed that I can no longer hold the talk button and pull up the address book while in the recent call list. From the home screen you can hold the talk button for a couple of seconds and it pulls up the address book but if you just tap the talk button it opens the recent call list. If you hold the talk button from there it tries calling the last number. Anyone know if I can change this to be like the 83xx?

We need a newer OS and the option of having our quarty keyboards that slides from a touch screen. It will blow the Storm out of the water and it will not have iPhony competition or even Android for that matter! Plus the Torch gives us a nice size for travel not like the Droid phones.
