My fingerprint scanner has stopped working totally. I have erased all finger prints but I can't re-register any.I have the latest software, I have rebooted but nothing works?I don't want to send it away as I don't have a spare phone.
The fingerprint scanner just stopped working. It was working fine, then it stop detecting any finger prints and I even tries to reset it, but it wouldn't let me, I kept getting an error message as soon as I tried. I really don't want to have to get this phone replaced already?
Changed from Z3 to Z5 2 mths ago. The Z5 battery drain really fast. Same usage, same app, same setting as my Z3, but the battery last way way shorter, about 60% of my Z3. Really disappointed.. Another thing is the thumb print sensor.. When you 1st register, its all accurate and good. After sometime, (typically a few days), the accuracy of the sensor will be out.. I need to rely on luck to unlock my screen by thumb print.
In the Screen Lock Type setting I have Fingerprints. At times when I wake the device it looks for me to use my saved fingerprint, but most times it still expects me to use swipe style to unlock.
I have been using the phone for past two weeks and having issue with the fingerprint scanner. The scanner stops working all of a sudden for no reason and then the phone needs to be rebooted to make the scanner function. I updated my phone with the latest patch .83..
My finger print scanner suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I tired rebooting the phone and a factory reset.Nothing seems to work. The fingerprint scanner will work once in a while but it's rare.
I just got my S5. I am trying to add a much needed added layer of security to the device through either a password or finger print. I have gone through the process of enabling both, each time when I return the lock screen it is not enabled?? Settings clear show it is on.
I restarted the device, upon restart the finger print scanner was enabled upon restart. but once i return back to the lock screen it is gone. Why they wont stay enabled or enable at all?
Figured out it was set to only enable after 10 mins of no activity.
Everytime I press the power button on my Samsung to wake it up, it automatically comes up with the 'no match' message, thinking that there is always a finger on the button, meaning it instantly sends me to the back up password screen.
When on the fingerprint set up tab in settings it still thinks that a finger is placed on the home button, if I try to add a new fingerprint I can leave my phone laying down without touching it and the phone starts adding up in percentages as if I was adding my own fingerprint, yet I'm not even touching it.
Has noticed there finger print unlock slowing down? I swear it is 2x to 3x longer than when new, restart phone regularly so I am not sure why. Just curious if it's just me.
Every time I use finger print to open my phone it always ask for PIN straight after, how do I turn off the PIN I just want to use finger print to open my phone?
New T-Mobile Galaxy S6. Is there a way to set the screen-time for the fingerprint log-in feature to display longer. Sometimes my login screen stays up long enough to press my thumb print, but many times it appears and disappears before I can log in. Is there a setting to increase the time it stays visual?
When I try to access my phone the only option is a keyboard and not a finger swipe panel. I put in my alternate password many times then get error saying cannot verify your finger print wait 30 secs try again
Okay so ever since the last update i have been having trouble with my finger print sensors. After I reboot my phone the fingerprint sensors works fine, but after few hours it would randomly stop working. And so I erased all the data on my phone (Factory Data Reset). It did the same thing. What should I do? I bought my phone on march. So I can not really exchange it?
Today after having my beloved Samsung Galaxy 6 for over a month, the finger print scanner didn't recognize my finger print. I don't have a back up password (or if i do i don't remember it) so I just typed in something so i could sign in with my google account. I typed in my correct email and password but its saying my password is invalid. I know its not invalid because I just used it on my computer. So now i really stuck..what do i do? Do i just wait and go into a mobile store?
My fingerprint is not being recognized by my Samsung Galaxy S6, my back up password is not working even though I'm pretty sure it's correct but maybe i have forgotten it I don't know BUT the other problem is I can't access Samsung device manager online because my Gmail account I have created on my phone requires the 2 step-verification thing where a code is sent to my phone first for me to type into my computer but since I can't access my phone I can't view the code!
When the phone is on a table or similar flat surface and the phone screen is not responding when using your fingers?I do have a front and rear glass screen protector and a plastic clip on rear protective cover, so I am guessing, these are to blame, if so, why?
With this, it's hard to play some games, like Fruit Ninja.
With a MT tester app, when I move my finger fast, it acts like my first finger was the second. Is it a hardware or a software issue? It was on GB, and yesterday I upgraded to ICS, and it is too.
in the last few days my fingerprint scanner has started to be quite picky. I've set it up with 5 different prints so I can unlock with either hand but recently it's not recognising any of my fingerprints. Today it;s working maybe one in every thirty attempts. I've removed fingerprints from the memory, when trying to re-add them it tells me to wipe the sensor/finger but both are clean.
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.
Scanner is very finicky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Tried registering multiple ID's using the same finger. Tried safe mode. Diagnostic test fails (doesn't vibrate) during safe and normal mode.
I bought this phone because of the fingerprint sensor (lots of sensitive business info in the phone), so i'd love for it to work normally.
