Jul 3, 2010Just got z5 and had wonderful range of camera settings but I must have deleted something. All I have is superior auto mode and cant switch sn mode off.

Given the arrogance you (Sony Mobile) are showing towards your customers I am gonna assume you are still not going to listen to your users, and you are not going to reply to this thread, you may even delete it to avoid unnecessary attention to the subject.

After the V2 upgrade taking so long, and still no manual exposure, I find it highly unlikely we will ever get manual exposure settings on the Sony Xperia series. I will sell my Xperia Z5 premium and get myself an LG G4.
Xperia Mini/pro :: SK17i - Mango - Front Camera (option) Missing?
Aug 25, 2012So, I've always been on the stock GB rom it shipped with and had no issues. I decide to update to ICS but since the update doesn't show up in PC companion or Update Service or OTA, I get flashtool and the stock .431 ftf and flash my mini pro (SI 1249-0751) to ICS (and also plug in a fresh new 32GB microSDHC card to celebrate). A bit laggy, crashes of the contact viewer when searching throught the dialpad, but that's okay, I can use a different launcher (Zeam) and dialer app (Dialer One).But when I open the camera app and try to take a picture with the front camera ...... there's no option. It's gone.
Another camera app, no front camera.Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e *#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it says "This device does not support the function". The primary works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from the bottom half to the top slider part.)
I scout the forums and find that there's some some strange relationship between the SD card and the front camera for the Ray (or some other device) . With the old SD card, still no luck.I downgrade to GB. Still not working. Front cam missing.I unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Stable mango).Still not working. Front cam missing.I reinstall GB, relock the bootloader in the hope of an OTA update and do finally get one (to ICS). I update it. Still not working. Front cam missing.I don't think it's (gulp) hardware. There hasn't been any drop onto a hard surface.

Motorola Droid 4 :: Missing USB Option Setting?
Mar 19, 2012Recently i plugged in my Droid 4 to try and put some pics from my computer to my phone. Before i've done this without any problems but now whenever i plug my droid into my computer the option that appears is the task bar that says USB mass storage, Charge only, etc. is gone and no computer i plug it into recognizes the phone. I've tried multiple cords and tried downloading different things for my computer to fix it that i've seen on other forum posts and it never works.
Whenever it plugs into a computer it charges it but that is it. I've turned on USB Debugging or whatever and that doesn't help either. It used to work fine and now it doens't,

Oct 7, 2013I have had my HTC One (AT&T and stock) for about 3 months and the camera has been working normally until this past weekend. I haven't taken a lot of pics with it but when I have used it, the camera always turned on and you could see what ever you were trying to take a picture of in the display. Then, I would touch the camera icon and it would take the picture. But now, when I turn the camera function on, it shows a static image of whatever it was that the lens was looking at when I turned the camera on. It no longer shows an active view of what I'm aiming the camera lens at. I can still hit the shutter button and it still takes a picture but I don't know what I took a picture of exactly until I touch the new picture to open it up in the display.

Nov 19, 2012I find that if I set the camera to HDR it stays there as long as I just open and close the camera. If I switch to video and back or switch from rear to front camera it no longer has the HDR setting I have to change it again. Same issue if I reboot. The setting does not want to stay on HDR.

Everything works fine except the camera. When I active the camera I can see that the application is started (seeing the indication in the menu) BUT I can't see the application. Thus I cannot take pictures.
