Aug 16, 2015For some reason my Z3 won't play music on my Sony car stereo, I use a USB cable as the stereo doesn't have Bluetooth, but it doesn't recognise the device, I've had to buy an ipod and that works fine.

IPhone :: Sending Contact Via Bluetooth To Sony Car Stereo
Mar 12, 2012I have iPhone 4s iOS 5 and have successfully paired (bluetooth) with my new Sony DSX-s310BTX car head unit. When I search for a contact through the head unit, it will load the entire (huge) list of contacts and allow me to navigate through the headunit to a contact to make a call (very clunky - SOny's poor design). So, it sees the contact list successfully. The head unit allows for me to enter six presets contacts into a list of popular numbers for easy access, but after the head unit is set to accept an addition to this presets list (it displays "waiting" prompt on the display), I need to know how to "Send the phonebook data by operating the cellular phone" as the SOny instruction manual says to do. I've contacted Sony support, and reviewed the pdf iPhone 4s manual (as well as these discussions), with no luck. It seems it should be under Contacts > select individual contact > Share Contact, but that only gives the option to share via Email or Message (sms), not Bluetooth.

IPhone :: It Cannot Connect To Car Music Stereo?
Jun 21, 2012I've got a music system in my car to which it is possible to connect my Iphone 4 I bought a cable 'Belkin iPhone / iPod AV Cable' which can be used to connect the Iphone and music system.
When I try to put the ipod connector in my Iphone I get a dialog box up 'Can not use accessories. There can only be an accessory at a time.' Audio system will not have a 'contact' with the iPhone.
I only put 'Belkin iPhone / iPod AV Cable' in my Iphone 4 but get this text. I've also tried with an Ipod 3 - with the same result.
However, the success of 2 times of approx. 50 to connect (1 time on the Iphone and 1 time on the Ipod). There I could easily play music and watch video of my car stereo.
Why do I get error text - which means that I can not use my iPhone to my stereo? FYI-the dialog box text is translated from danish to english using google translate.

I didn't find any trace of such digital mic, be it analogue or digital... the in-built mic is of course not stereo, and the mic in the remote isn't also, leave apart being 'digital'

Lumia 950 :: Phone Bluetooth Reporting (Connected Voice) Only With Car Stereo
Dec 9, 2015I recently switched from a BlackBerry Z30 to the unlocked Lumia 950 Dual-SIM. I have been slowly moving things over and so far it has been working out OK until last night. That's when I tried to pair my 950 with my 2010 Toyota Prius. No matter what I do, it only reports "Connected Voice" but no music.
I was able to Bluetooth connect and stream music on my Z30, Z10, and my wife's iPhone 4 and 6, so I don't think this is an issue with my car. I looked around online and in the forums and saw others reporting issues with 8.1 and a couple with 10, but there really wasn't a fix that I could see that applied to my situation.
Xperia Ray :: Video Recording With Mono Audio, No Stereo On ICS?
Dec 4, 2011Since I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....

Apr 23, 2012I got my Xperia mini a couple of weeks ago and I am generally very satisfied. Just one thing is a little bit annoying. I use the mini as my primary music player. Whenever I connect it to my home stereo or car stereo through line in, I get a pulsating, humming noise for a couple of seconds. I have tried it with several stereos and computer speakers. Always the same. I use the latest firmware update.

Received my Repaired phone today and tried to restore using sony bridge for mac, I select the correct backup dated the 10th and it runs though the backing up process fine no errors, i restart the phone and nothing.........phone is exactly the same as before i restored.
