Feb 26, 2011I am so so dissapointed with Sony. At no point was I warned that all my Apps would be lost in the upgrade! I had calander apps with important dates in, and a notes facility which contained all sorts of vital information including passwords I don't have recorded else where (stupid I know). Now all of those apps are gone. I'm struggling to recover my contacts at the moment as well, but am following the advice in the discussions to try to recover those!

Jan 11, 2012My mobile is a Nokia N8. I recently updated Phone Apps, I'm not very technical so I followed all prompts asked of me. It advised to restart my phone which I did. When the phone restarted, I lost 3months worth of pictures, my profiles (general, silent etc) were reset but still had messages in my inbox, and god knows what else I haven't noticed yet.I must note also that I received text messages from O2, my service provider. They said, message 1 "you'll receive settings for our phone to allow you to easily access O2's great services". Message 2 "Select Save from Options to configure all settings". I followed these messages. I contacted O2 who advised it was nothing to do with them!!! Not one bit helpful either.

Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

I've now lost it - not quite sure how, either because I moved all my music to the SD card - I've now moved a tune back from the SD card to the internal memory but can't figure out how to set it as a ring tone. When I go into Settings / Sound /Phone Ringtone it comes up with 3 options :- File Commander, Media Storage and Sound Picker and I can't see it

Jun 11, 2015for some reason a selection of music files (not all) has gone from my PC even tho the folders are still showing there. However, the files are still on my Xperia Z3 SD card, and play fine, but I can't trasfer them from there back to my PC... it is weird! Jul 3, 2010I love my new Z5 compact but it seems to me that Sony changed some stuff regarding text selection (I guess due to the text lense they added). Beside that I don't really need a lense (who does?) it changes the behaviour and leads to some really annoying limitations when working with documents in some apps.
Example: Evernote (because I guess many users use it)
Try to select more then one line text :-) Works on several other old and new Android devices... not on my Z5 compact sadly.

Oct 24, 2015As of a few weeks ago I noticed my phone would randomly restart, I didn't think much of it until one day it shut off, restarted, and then it was locked and would not unlock no matter how long I held the side button down for, plugging it into the charger did nothing. I ended up having to let the phone just die and recharge it once it had died. I could deal with all of that, but today I noticed after it had some sluggish responses to me wanting to unlock the screen (it would stay locked and not respond to button presses until i waited around 2 or 3 minutes after hitting the button initially).
I tried to use several applications, the appstore, snapchat, youtube, and i got little to no activity from any of them. Never ending loading from just about all, or no activity whatsoever from the appstore, yet the net browser and facebook/ etc worked just fine. And to top it all off, I noticed my battery draining at an alarming rate, maybe 10% every 30 minutes even with nearly no applications running or open.

Aug 2, 2015Not sure I'm the only user experience such horrible issue, my phone recently apps suddenly auto pop up and randomly start different apps again and again. Normally take few hours to back to normally and started few times a month.
I have tried to reset to factory and doesn't work. Tried to use diagnosis function to check, but all are normal. and I downloaded antivirus software to scanned as well, all can't find issue. It's just so weird.....
