Xperia Z3 :: Uninstalling Update To App Which Isn't A Built In
Oct 7, 2014
Is there a possibility to uninstall a update to a app which isn't a built in app? I recently updated a app and it crashes and im not able to play. So i nees to to wait for a repair update or i can uninstall a update?
I want to know if i can uninstall some inbuilt app like live on YouTube and further apps that are consuming a lot of memory space and heating up my phone and also affects my phone performance. So if i uninstall some of them will it harm my phone?
I am trying to uninstall the Traffic TV off my Xperia X10, I follow the correct proceedure but when it says to tap the uninstall button, I cant find it.
I already updated my phone twice, from 1.6 to 2.1 and to the latest one, which i forgot what version (the one with officesuitde).. The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I got rid of them because they're TRIAL versions only and theyre just eating up the LITTLE SPACE (128mb) of my internal memory. So this is what happens, every time my phone turns off due to empty bat, or when I turn it off manually, then turn it on again, those APPS were once again installed in my phone! So I will have to uninstall it (again!) to free some of my internal memory. But, expect that it will happen again the next time How could I stop this from happening again? I'm sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And I find it necessary to really drain my bat to 0% so I can maximizae my battery's life span, but when i turn on my phone?
I'm not using a lot of built in apps . But they spend a lot of RAM.Especially Facebook. Even I close/stop from "Running Services", they come back after a while.
These apps are unnecessary for me :
Facebook Office Suite Track ID Whats App
How can I remove these apps? While we can reach these apps from Google Play, Why did you make these apps non-erasable?
I bought my Xperia SK17a a few months back in Vancouver, I then moved to Mexico, I unlocked it here in Mexico and it has always worked fine except for one thing: when I plug in my headphones I can hear my media just fine, but then if I unplug them the phone won't detect that it no longer has the headphones and so the sound and media will keep playing as if it the headphones were still plugged, obviously I can't hear nothing coming out from the built-in speaker because it keeps sending the sound to the 3.5 mm jack. Sometimes I can make it work, this will only happend if I shut down my phone or if I slightly plug in my headphones on the jack but not enought to get the music , after I do that I can hear a constant "tap-tap-tap-tap" as if someone was knocking the door, however I can't always do that or it dosn't always works. I can also hear that "taptaptap..." sound when I record or make a call and have the built-in speaker working, such speaker stop working the second I plug in and out my headphones and if I record a video with the headphones plugged or the speakers not working I can no longer hear such tapping on the video. Also, if i plug in the headphones I can no longer hear anything during a call, but they can indeed hear me, If i want to hear the other person I'd have to plug in my headphones or pray for a miracle to happen.
Several people have complained that it is difficult to hear my voice during GSM calls (3G disabled and in a silent environment, for what it is worth). This could be related to the upgrade to Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwhich) a couple of weeks ago. Before the upgrade, I do not remember any such complaints (except when I was holding the phonehands-free between shoulder and cheek).Today, I played with the built-in Sound Recorder application. To access it, I installed the SoundRecorder wrapper. I checked the sound levelVU meter while speaking. I had to really shout to reach the maximum level of the meter. Without me shouting, the playback (on the back-side loudspeaker) was very quiet. I also tested this with the wired headset-microphone that was bundled with the phone, and I got the same result. I had to either shout or put the microphone inside my mouth to get loud sound.
Did the Android upgrade (firmware 4.1.B.0.431) make the microphone insensitive? As far as I understand, mobile phones usually have some sort of adaptive gain in the microphone amplifier.explanation is that I had enabled noise suppression in the call settings after upgrading to ICS. I have now disabled it again. In Sound Recorder, I did not notice any significant difference with or without it.
I installed the Five Column Springboard instead of the Five Icon Springboard. Now when I attempt to remove the Five Column Package, I get an error everytime it tries uninstall. Sub-process/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) When I restart the springboard it goes into Safe Mode. Do I have to SSH into my IPhone and remove the package? Also, my IPhone won't get out of Safe Mode.
I have C6-01 and F-Secure I can't uninstall it from the Application manager, it says "uninstallation failed". get rid of this **bleep**, and note that the hard reset isn't a solution for me.
Okay, so I wanted to do a firmware update on my Nokia phone via cable. First problem was that NSU does not support Windows 7 x64 properly in the the sense that it doesnt effin work at all! So, I launch VMWare and I install Windows XP x32 on a virtual machine, but that didnt work too well either. I eventually uninstalled PC suite and Connectivity Driver from my Win7 hoping to make the phone connect to my WinXP virtual machine. It works. I update my phone's firmware. I want to do a recovery of my effin contacts. And the backup file is gone. What kind of software does that? Oh, you want to uninstall PC Suite? Yeah? Well, you will lose all data for that.
I'm having a bad experience over here cause I cant use or Uninstall ANY java app on My nokia 5530."Internal Error:Sending stop app request to JavaCaptain Failed".I have been trying all to solve this but I cant.
I have a program on my Blackberry that I use for work, Salesforce.Com Mobile. I uninstalled the program and then allowed the 9700 to reboot. When I go to download Salesforce.com Mobile again, the software doesn't prompt me for my username or password and just hangs. It's almost as if remnants of the original install were on the phone somewhere and it kept my data.I searched my micro sd card, but didn't see anything there.
Basically my iPhone's battery was losing 1% per minute, but while on standby it was great. So after some research i saw that if u uninstall mobile substrate and install it again this may fix battery issues. So i uninstalled it through cydia and when i rebooted my device and use blackra1n to start it up (as it is a tethered 3.1.2 jailbreak with new bootrom 3gs) geohots pic comes up for about 45 seconds and then it turns off. I have tried booting it up 10 times and it's still not starting up.
This is a question that probably pertains more to WP8 than to the Lumia 1520, so if I've misplaced this question, could a sysop correct my mistake?
My question has to do with uninstalling an app, and since I know nothing about programming for WP, Along with many other users, I had to uninstall the MS Solitaire Collection because it drained my battery very quickly and the phone got very warm. However, after the uninstall, my battery still seems to run down quicker than it did before. This brings to mind, in general, a question about how thoroughly an app gets uninstalled. Is there a "registry cleaner" utility available -
I am a user for the free version of the Psiloc World Traveller on my Nokia E72.Yesterday, it was updated and then every other moment, it wanted to access the network to get an update of the data. I don't want it to do so and unable to stop it.I would like to uninstall it. But the message was in the red box the "Uninstallation not sucessful".Please tell me how to remove this software ?
I've recently discovered a problem when trying to install Infinidock on my iPhone 3GS. In order to install Infinidock, it is a requirement to uninstall Five Icon Dock which I believe is causing the problem. I have attached a screen shot of the pop up that appears when I try the process. I'm not sure who I need to contact to look at this problem.
I have attached a 2nd image with a second pop up. I've noticed a third, but it appears and disappears so quickly that I cannot get a screen shot fast enough. Will keep trying.
I purchased an iphone over kijiji locked to rogers and jailbroken to 3.1.2. During my days of owning it i found that the signal would drop randomly to 0 bars and proceed to "searching" to look for a network.. Ive looked this issue up plentiful over these forums and found that blacksnow seemed to be the culprit. After going through cydia i found that blacksnow was installed so i uninstalled it. I thought the problem was solved but a couple of minutes later after using apps that use 3g the connection dropped again. I dont know how this phone was jailbroken. its the 3gs with the old bootrom. ive never had this issue with my 3g phone. I restored again using redsnow and still same problems.
I have a Torch 9800 and on Saturday while uninstalling the true caller app that I thought was the reason for the slow response I was getting from my phone, it began restarting itself and eventually gave me a JVM 545 error - reset and it went off completely. It is has not responded to anything even charging. I have even tried the Blackberry Desktop Software and still no response.
When attempting to uninstall a couple of applications from my 5800 I get the following message "Unable to start operation. Installer already in use".I've tried turning the phone off then turning it on again, but still get the same message.
I got the new facebook app with push updates, and the other update that came after (3.1.1?) and it worked well for a while. But now I don't seem to be getting facebook notifications anymore. I still get mobileMe notifications, which I believe come through the same system? Which was the whole point to save battery power?
I've tried turning them on and off in the settings place, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on my iPhone (not iTunes). When I launched it again, it didn't ask permission to send me notifications, which if I remember it did when I first installed the update? I expected it would have asked as when I uninstalled it it said all the data would be deleted, such as the permission to send notifications?
No idea if any of that's relevant, but I'd quite like to get notifications again if anyone has some tips .Also, there's no way to get notifications from facebook without pestering friends and looking a bit sad asking for comments is there?
I have a Motorola Photon MB855. It came with QuickOffice pre-installed. To my surprise, it was just a "Viewer" version of the software. I purchased the QuickOffice Pro version. As many have found, now I have two versions of QuickOffice. I just one the one I paid, which is the full version of the software. I want to uninstall the Free (Viewer) version. I have been reading that there is no way to do this unless I root the phone. I do not want to root the phone, all I want is for Motorola to allow me to uninstall the free version, since I bought the full version (is it not the idea to have us purchase the full version of these pre-install software?) and want the space of Demo/Free/Viewer versions to be uninstalled so I can have that space avaialable for other Apps I would like to install!
I bought an Iphone 4 over the weekend and had a question about whether it is best to use the built in mail feature or the google gmail app. I use gmail for all mail. I've noticed the mail app doesn't seem to work in 'push' mode for gmail. The emails only come through when I open the app. But then the gmail app doesn't popup any alerts or noise when I get a new email like I thought it would. Which app do you other gmail users use?
I'm an BB user and just got my brand new BB Bold 9790 (upgrading from Curve 9300). Everthing works fine. The problem is that my operator (Comviq/Tele2 in Sweden) don't support/provide BIS and for that reason I can't use the builtin email app. However, Data Network (3G), MMS, Browsing the web works just fine.Have installed LogicMail but it loses connection almost 5 times a day I have to reboot the phone to get it to work again. That is very annoying.
i find it weird that the device sells telling the market that N79 has a built-in GPS receiver (adding to the price of the device). but in order to use it, it would have to be bought separately. what's the point of selling a device that comes with a certain feature when that feature can't be used as is.?or am i mistaken and that it is actually free.
