But after that, the existing some of my previously installed JAVA apps are no longer showing in Installations (although they are shown as installed in App Manager). And the JAVA apps which are shown, cannot be launched.That is, I click on them but nothing happens. Also I cannot uninstall any JAVA apps and also cannot install any JAVA apps.

What I would like to to is to DISABLE some of the apps I NEVER use that came pre installed on the phone.
Apps such as AR EFFECT, HANGOUTS etc.
I am reluctantly going to peal off my expensive screen protector as well.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI already updated my phone twice, from 1.6 to 2.1 and to the latest one, which i forgot what version (the one with officesuitde).. The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I got rid of them because they're TRIAL versions only and theyre just eating up the LITTLE SPACE (128mb) of my internal memory.So this is what happens, every time my phone turns off due to empty bat, or when I turn it off manually, then turn it on again, those APPS were once again installed in my phone! So I will have to uninstall it (again!) to free some of my internal memory. But, expect that it will happen again the next time How could I stop this from happening again? I'm sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And I find it necessary to really drain my bat to 0% so I can maximizae my battery's life span, but when i turn on my phone?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a nokia 5530 xm. i had some corrupted music files in my music library so i made a back up-file on the computer and erased everything on the memorycard.Then i loaded all the stuff back on the memorycard. But then almost all my apps were gone, so i tried to download them again. But i can't click the 'download' button (it's dark gray, like if you've already clicked it) so i think the ovi store remembers that i have downloaded the apps before and it's like i have got them on my phone but i have checked all the installed apps and all the installation files in the application manager but they aren't there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?

Its RAM remains 80mb full even when no application running only 40-45mb is available. Sometimes its headphones' player buttons stop working and start working after restart.

First problem was that NSU does not support Windows 7 x64 properly in the the sense that it doesnt effin work at all! So, I launch VMWare and I install Windows XP x32 on a virtual machine, but that didnt work too well either. I eventually uninstalled PC suite and Connectivity Driver from my Win7 hoping to make the phone connect to my WinXP virtual machine. It works. I update my phone's firmware. I want to do a recovery of my effin contacts. And the backup file is gone. What kind of software does that? Oh, you want to uninstall PC Suite? Yeah? Well, you will lose all data for that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI performed a firmware update on my Elm j10i2 phone. I am able to connect with a Wi-Fi and browse web pages with it, but i cannot use Wi-Fi anymore for e-mail or Java Me apps.
My settings are:
Internet settings: allow local connections
Streaming settings: allow local connections
Wi-Fi : connected with a favorite and high-priority network
If i look for IMAP4/SMTP connection settings, i get the "internet settings" menu, indicating 'allow local connections Yes', but you cannot save it (it says not available now, probably because it expects GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts)
If i check my e-mail, i get the message "you have to select an internet account now" - after confirmation, i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu.
If i start a Java application (for example AccuWeather), it does not connect over Wi-Fi, and if i choose the app's options, and then "internet settings", i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu, this time indicating 'allow local connections No'.
Did I miss some settings menu somewhere ? Or do you need to configure GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts to get it right?
It's pretty annoying because Wi-Fi was my main incentive to buy this phone.
How to ID or characterize what java apps will work in general?
Indications are that this phone is a b*****d not-Android-but-not-nonAndroid child. My emerging fear is that nothing will work on it unless I want to code it up myself.
To get my feet wet, I thought I'd try a calculator. I put the .jar file on the top-level dir of the uSD card and waxed optimistic as the phone's Java App mgr found and installed it. Then the calculator app took me through TWENTY different display layout arrangements without finding a single usable arrangement.
For a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way.Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?

Now when I attempt to remove the Five Column Package, I get an error everytime it tries uninstall. Sub-process/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) When I restart the springboard it goes into Safe Mode. Do I have to SSH into my IPhone and remove the package? I've upgrade my N97 from V21 to V22 this morning. After that, my java apps (e.g. snaptu) can't make an internet connection anymore.
My default access point group is "internet" containing only my wifi access point. Other apps using an internet connection work flawlessly through wifi, only java apps don't work. When first starting the java app, I click it to grant access to my network forever.
I did a hard reset on my 5800XM and now my java apps doesnt work because i lost the Java Runtime. I tried to install some versions (beta) that i found and the problem is more or less solved but that versions had bugs etc, are not stable.. how can i get the stable version (no beta version) of the firmware or whatever?
