Xperia Z3 :: Photos / Videos Keep Corrupting
Sep 6, 2012I've had my Z3+ for about 4 months now and never had any problems. Since updating it a week ago I've had two, one which I managed to fix myself and recently I've had a photo and a video that won't open after taking them, luckily it was a random video of my dog and nothing important, but I imagine if it was something more important I'd be a little more annoyed. Also I have another picture that has a large, thick, white block down the left hand side, so half corrupted.

May 26, 2011I copied from my old phone to the PC, and then to my X8, some pictures from my contacts. They are under the DCIM folder in the SD card.When I edit a contact and choose to add a picture, I can't add those pictures. The following things happen:
If I choose to use the internal Album application to browse and select the pictures, it shows all the photos I took with the phone's camera, plus several others that I don't know where they came from. It doesn't show the pictures I just copied from the PC to the SD card. But the ones that are visible can be selected and used.If I choose to use a file browser (such as OI File Manager) to browse and select the pictures, I can browse to the SD card, under folder DCIM, and see all the pictures, but that I took with the phone and the ones I copied over from the PC. But once I select a picture it just does't go to the contact. The contact editor still show's the default picture of a silhouette, and won't use the picture I selected. So,
how can I add pictures that I moved from my PC to the SD card as contact pictures?Where are the pictures stored in internal memory? Where are all those fancy silhouettes kept?

Sep 23, 2010After using the phone for a certain amount of time, all my photo files start corrupting. i.e. They won't open, and their icon in a torn picture. My game icons also disappear. This problem gets fixed if I restart my phone. But it shouldn't be happening anyway right? I reinstalled my phone software and formatted my memory card but it doesn't help. This problem is becoming more and more frequent.

May 13, 2015Im back with yet another problem with this phone. So disappointing. Anyway, here's the problem, few days ago my GF lost all her pictures and music from her SD card. Internal storage is untouched.
I never owned Android phone, but did some research and seems like this problem usually occurs after OS update. She didnt update her phone. Never connects to PC, and did nothing unusual. When she inserts this SD card to HTC Desire X (her old phone) it says SD is damaged, and but shows nothing on G3.When she connects G3 to PC the SD doesnt show up there too.

I am unable to view the pictures that I have on my SD card, but whenever I connect my phone to the computer or insert the SD card into the computer I can see all of the photos that I have saved on my SD card. May 27, 2015I have a Samsung S5 with a 32gb SD card. The other night my from completely froze for approx. 30 seconds and then I lost everything saved on the SD card. The card cannot be read by the phone nor be mounted. When trying to mount the card the phone says mounting SD card then card is safe to remove. I connected it to my computer and it says card needs to be formatted when clicking on the drive letter where the card is place via an adapter. we tried to mount the card on 2 other phones with the same results. Any recovery software that I might use to get my pictures back?
