Jan 17, 2015I keep getting the error can't play video or invalid url for videos recorded on the phone. Sony support told me to do a phone repair but it has made no difference.

I am unable to play video. This is video from any application I have installed, Facebook, YouTube, even video advertising embedded in games doesn't play.
I have tried clearing application data, I have tried a factory reset, I have tried using the repair feature in Sony PC Companion.
The problem persists regardless of whether I'm using wifi or mobile data.

When I copy them to my computer one of them plays just fine - the other only the sound - no picture. I've uploaded the file several times with same results. Nov 29, 2013Got the new Nexus 5 and found that flash video playing is totally incompatible with the Android 4.4 Kitkat, no t in Dolphin, not in Firefox and other browsers. This is too bad and I can't imagine it just happened.
I digged into the code since then and found that some critical APIs have been removed from Android 4.4 that flash uses.

After several days of coding, I finally found a way out with a hacked flash player. Being so excited and i can't wait wo share it. Here is the guide about how to install the hacked one and how to play flash content in the sites in Dolphin Browser.
1) Download Dolphin Browser
Surprised, Dolphin just push a 10.2.0 update version to me and I found Dolphin Jetpack was built-in. This means you don't have to install 2 separate APK now.

Warning: [/B]You must have Dolphin Jetpack on in the settings to enjoy it. As far as I have noticed, Dolphin Jetpack better solves the compatibility with flash player, such as crash issue & freeze issue in full screen.
2) Download the hacked flash player HERE
Warning: Make sure that you have uninstall the flash player installed in your device and then install the hacked one for compatibility reason.
If your devices refused to install apk outside Google Play, you may set in your device (Settings> Securities> Unknown resources) to allow installation of apps from unknown sources.
3) Make sure that the flash setting in Dolphin Browser (Click Menu>Settings>Web Content>Flash Player) is on.
Flash Player is not officially supported and therefore the speed of loading of flash video may be slow. However, I have tried many sites such as YouTube and Hulu. They all work properly with satisfactory results.

Jul 3, 2010Recently bought a Xperia Z3+. How come when I record a 4K video and then try to play it back does it come up with the error message 'unable to find URL'
Do you need to use the Internet to view a video you have recorded yourself if it is in 4K if so how come?
And why is it not using my Internet because I have unlimited data but I am downloading something at the moment does this prevent the video getting the URL if it needs it.

Jul 3, 2010Firstly, when I watch video on youtube about 4-6 clips - the error message appear: "Please touch to try again" - even I touch multiple times it still can not play.
Then, I go to the Video App (Sony), surprisingly, the video didn't play. It appear an error message: "Can not play this video" - I try with every single video on my phone and still has the same error message.
And more surprisingly, even the video on facebook have the same problem too.
So it must be like: If I watch video on any app, suddenly the clip can not play or just keep loading infinity, these app will be "infected" immideately (at the same time as well). The only thing I can do is reboot the phone.
I know reboot phone is just spend my little time around 15-30 seconds maybe. But it is very annoying to happen with very frequently.

Jun 3, 2015I took some videos last night when I went to a concert. My internal memory was getting full so it recommended moving them to the SD card which I did. Now I can't view the files and it won't play in any different video applications that I have downloaded. I reformatted the sd card after backing it up and still nothing! Why is this when I can see the files on my phone. They are there but won't play. I haven't done anything wrong! I literally am frustrated and want my videos back.

Somehow all my contacts have been deleted and I think I forgot to make a backup of the contacts before i went into custom romming... (silly me). But my other sim card has most of my contacts so i inserted my other sim card and now when i go to contacts, and press the options menu, the 'import' option is not highlighted...
