My Xperia play suddenly stopped reading the SIM card today. Someone on facebook gave me your phone line but it costs a fortune and I've been sat on it now for 10 minutes and not got much help.Does anyone know where I can get a sim reader from for the phone?

I loaded my memory card with some mp3 files and some videos. when I am opening the memory card through office suite its showing folders but when I open folders, Its saying no supporting files found. Cant Xperia ray handle Mp3s and Videos? But If I open music player it is showing the mp3s but not videos.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi just bought a used xperia play and a new 32gb sd card class 4 (adata). the memory works fine in my laptop but when i put it in the phone it wont do anything, it wont let me mount or anything, its like there isn't anything insde. i already read that the back cover has to be placed proporly so it is pressing the little white switch, the cover is properly placed. okay just now i used the update service program and it says it has modified content, okay i know its a used phone so it is totaly possible but how to i get it back to original firmware or software or whatever, im new to andriod so what am i suppose to do (already have PC companion and update service), sorry for my bad grammer but right now im fricking out! this is the phone of my dreams and i can't enjoy it because of the sd card!! right now im going to restore to factory but i fear it will brick my phone since i got that "modified content" message.
in the worst case senario, say the sd reader is broken, how much does sony charge to fix it? do they even fix it? if they do, do thay have it in mexico?details: i formated the micro sd card on my laptop on FAT 32
My xpressmusic 5800 has decided to stop reading my memory card. It is the original 8gb micro sd card from Nokia. I'm no longer able to use apps such as Ovi Maps and I don't have enough memory to update it.I haven't dropped the phone nor have I removed the memory card until after it stopped reading.What can I do? It has some stuff on there I would like to keep as I hadn't got round to uploading it so even if I had the option to would I be able to retrieve some data off it?

i was on tmobile using a tmobile sim card on an old motorola with all my contacts (my vivaz pro is being fixed). i transferred to att service and tried to use my tmobile sim card to upload contacts, and it cannot read.

Upon receiving my unlocked Play, I noticed that the SD card isn't mounted. I tried numerous times resetting the phone and trying to see what was wrong but I can't seem to fix it. My SD card works when I insert it into my PC, and it still has all the files. I even tried other SD cards and it still couldn't mount.

It works just fine when I boot the phone up, But after no specific amount of time the phone will stop reding from it. I have to reboot the phone and it working just fine again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a blackberry 9360 for my birthday in July, the phone worked fine for basically a week so I got it repaired in a shop costing me £60 it worked for a while and now the same problem is occurring. When I have both the sim card and the memory card inserted neither of them are reading, it's saying "Insert SIM Card" & "Media Card is not currently inserted in the device" which is extremely annoying.Everything else works fine the camera, wi-fi, but i can't use my network whatsoever nor record videos etc because it's claming to have no media card inserted whatsoever!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently changed the micro sd card out to a 32gb to enable a more serious approach to gaming etc. However, since doing that I have not been able to get any of the gameloft games to download and install correctly. The existing game that I had previously will operate when I put in the older (Smaller) SD card. Photos and music transferred over, but not with the correct file path. Therefore they con not be viewed. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to work it out, previous discussion threads have not correctly outlined the procedure. Having the expandable memory is designed to make this phone more marketable. Not telling people how to do it makes the phone significantly less marketable.

After this problem, I had sent this to service centre and they said that since new software update has come hence my phone is having this problem and they said it will take 10-12 days to fix this problem All my phone numbers are in this phone and what will I do for 10-12 days without phone?I connected to laptop and updated the Black berry software through update however still no solution.
Today I upgraded the software hoping this will fix this NO SIM recognition issue but no use. This issues had occured in past also but for strange reason was rectified in past.
I recently bought a 9790 and was hoping that the old Sd media card from my 9780 would work and im sure it should work but the Sd media card is not being read by the 9790 when I insert it. The Sd media card works on my computer and on my old phone.

Was sent away via the carphonewarehouse repair center and another phone came back. This phone has now come up with the same problem. Will not read any SD card and these cards work on other Blackberry or PC etc. I have tried all the remedies out there. Reinstalled the OS. Started the phone without the Sd card etc.

After the update I placed my sim card, it asked for SIM PIN and the pin accepted. I waited for the region, chose it, then it poped out Please insert SIM and restart. I tried everything, reseat the SIM,checked my SIM, it is fine with other mobiles, wiped it, as I said before it asks for pin, then I went through changing the pin number, it said there is no sim card.
