The software on my SD card got accidentally deleted. MY phone does nor prompt to install PC Companion when I connect it to New PC /Notebook. How do I get it back to to my SD card ?

Then it tells me how to get into MTP, which would be awesome, if it were correct!!! My notification bar does not have the option to switch between MTP and USB (MCP) or whatever its called. View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to update my Xperia Play to version 3.0.1.A.0.146, but PC Companion 2.0 wont let me. I change my phone to 'mediaoverdracht modus' ( it's in dutch, i don't know the english word ). It's the modus that is required for updating your phone, and it's step 3. But it fails every single time. PC Companion keeps saying it is unable to connect to my PLAY. No errorcode or nothing, it just gives the advice to reconnect my phone to the PC.

Furthermore, other Sony Ericsson handsets work fine with Media Go.In an effort to resolve this, I have tried both of the Xperia PLAY's connectivity modes (Media Transfer Protocol and Mass Storage Mode), un-installed the drivers and PC Companion, re-installing PC Companion and the drivers... All to no avail.

But the problem is when I connect my phone to my computer PC Companion says searching and then says no phone connected. When I try going to support center and go to how to connect to USB (which is an option that's suppose to get PC companion to notice my phone.). When the process is finished it still won't recognize the phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling PC companion but the same thing still happens. I also tried disconnecting and connecting my phone but the the same thing still happens.

View 5 Replies View RelatedPlugged the phone into the computer (Vista 32), installed PC Companion, Media Go, etc. PC Companion agreed that I had an X10 mini connected. Sync worked. Media go didn't/doesn't recognise any device. Had a look at what Windows thought - it thought I had a CD-ROM plugged in, and advised me to load a disk. Tried a different USB port. This time windows helpfully installed the appropriate drivers for my device - Floppy Disk drivers. When it is not attached to a computer, the phone advises that it has available space of 1.84GB on an SD card. I have since:
- Updated the phone (from the phone, via wifi)
- Reinstalled PC Companion from the website (instead of from the SD card)
- Tried a different SD card (that I know is good) - nothing.
All I really want is to transfer a few photos and bits of music from my computer to the phone.
i was on tmobile using a tmobile sim card on an old motorola with all my contacts (my vivaz pro is being fixed). i transferred to att service and tried to use my tmobile sim card to upload contacts, and it cannot read.

Upon receiving my unlocked Play, I noticed that the SD card isn't mounted. I tried numerous times resetting the phone and trying to see what was wrong but I can't seem to fix it. My SD card works when I insert it into my PC, and it still has all the files. I even tried other SD cards and it still couldn't mount.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently changed the micro sd card out to a 32gb to enable a more serious approach to gaming etc. However, since doing that I have not been able to get any of the gameloft games to download and install correctly. The existing game that I had previously will operate when I put in the older (Smaller) SD card. Photos and music transferred over, but not with the correct file path. Therefore they con not be viewed. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to work it out, previous discussion threads have not correctly outlined the procedure. Having the expandable memory is designed to make this phone more marketable. Not telling people how to do it makes the phone significantly less marketable.

After the update I placed my sim card, it asked for SIM PIN and the pin accepted. I waited for the region, chose it, then it poped out Please insert SIM and restart. I tried everything, reseat the SIM,checked my SIM, it is fine with other mobiles, wiped it, as I said before it asks for pin, then I went through changing the pin number, it said there is no sim card.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased a shiny new Xperia PLAY a week ago, it came with a 8GB microSD card and within a few days I filled the card up. So, I thought I would get a bigger card and bought a 16GB microSD card as I would like to put more games and alot of my music on it as well
How would I go about transferring or copying all the files that are on the 8GB card to my 16GB card without losing any downloaded data i.e large game files and game saves? CAN THIS BE DONE? As I am new to Android, any step by step advice would be great by the way!
One thing I did try was copying all the data on the 8GB card to a folder on my PC (whilst enabling the 'view all hidden files and folders' option in XP) and copied the folder contents to the new 16GB card (pre formatted to FAT32). I put the new card in the phone but cannot access the games without having to re-download the GBs of data needed and all my games progress has disappeared along with a few games and some needed game data. e.g NFS Hot Pursuit starts but will not play!
It sometimes mounts but then it crashes.but it hasn't mounted for a few days now .Ive tried reseting , turning the phone off and going on the computer to see if the computer recognises the sd card but nothing works .what happened and how can i fix it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedHere are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.
I took some videos last night when I went to a concert. My internal memory was getting full so it recommended moving them to the SD card which I did. Now I can't view the files and it won't play in any different video applications that I have downloaded. I reformatted the sd card after backing it up and still nothing! Why is this when I can see the files on my phone. They are there but won't play. I haven't done anything wrong! I literally am frustrated and want my videos back.

Why is it that whenever i restart my phone or once i plug my phone with the USB,the apps that are stored in the SD card is pushed all the way to the last page? this happens everytime until i have to manually put everything all over againi have set the Arrange Apps to Own Order alrdy and it still pushes all the apps. Another problem is that i have to turn on and off the data plan twice in order for it to work.when i turn it on the 1st time,the icon is there but not connected to the internet

View 4 Replies View RelatedWell basically i have bought this amazing phone xperia play, however downside is the internal memory only 400mb ( i mean seriously) but anyway ive been 'app exploring' and downloaded so many to my sd, but some were un movable from the phone i do not know why. so upon getting full i thought it will be a good idea to give it a reboot, upon doing that, when i revisited the phone ive lost all my apps on my sd card, funny enough i still have my photos and media on the sd card.
also in the settings>applications?managing applications and in the sd section its showing 2.90 gb availible of 7.99 or somrthing, basically the apps are there but i can't view them(thats what i gatherd from this issue)
I want to update my software to the latest officail available version. Doing so will delete all the stock games too? For example FIFA, Bruce lee dragon warrior. For games I have installed from market I have taken backup.
