when the phone is turned on and you press the power/lock key, i'm not sure if i'm using the right word but, it goes into sleep mode. from that, how do you properly turn it on? do you use the power/lock key again? the menu key? the home key? the back key? i see a lot of videos in Internet showing people turning it back on with the power/lock key. is this right? i just want to make sure.
one more thing, if i have been turning it on the wrong way, does that put my phone at risk?
ive had the phone for a while now but yesterday when i switched it off and switched it back on a while later it didnt work. For some strange reason when I turn it on the Sony Erricson sign comes up but it just freezes?
I recently tryed updating my phone, i had to cancel it as it took along time, i then tryed to put the phone on but now it goes to the point of showing the sony erricson sign and then it comes up with a half blank screen and then a weird pattern on the bottom, then after a few seconds it switches itself off. does anyone know anything i can try. i have taken the battery out, the sim card the memory card and tryed to restart from computer and the mains and its still the same.
I've just started using Xperia Ray and have imported my contacts from my old phone by transferring through my PC. Though all my contacts appear, they are just names, without any numbers. Additionally, though I can see all of them through the Contacts button, when I go to messaging and Add Recipient, only 5-6 contacts appear and no more.
I've had an experia ray since Sept 2011 and have problems connecting to my wifi at home since. I'm now on my third handset as my phone provider think that will fix the problem.
I've googled this problem and tried the static IP address route which didn't help. I've reset the phone, done a phone repair, removed and re-enabled security on my router. Nothing helps.
The problem seems to be that the phone continually scans for new networks, so it will connect to my wireless, scan for new, disconnect then reconnect constantly. So if I try access anything web based, I maybe have to try 5 or 6 times before I'm lucky enough for it to be trying right at the moment it's connected.
Recently my z3 is not charging properly.I have checked the plug and USB cable with another phone and both are fine. The light at the top left of my z3 that indicates it's connected and charging keeps going off and on and also the charge level does not seem to go above 50% regardless of how long I charge it.
I've just bought a new XPeria Z2 smartphone, which I'm really excited about. As the battery went down to 5%, I set the phone on my magnetic charger, which came in the package of the Z2. In the morning, (after 6 hours), the battery was at 66% only, and didn't charge any further.
My Z3 is able to connect to my W10 PC through Bluetooth (or so the properties page on my PC says) but I can't get any Bluetooth functions to work besides sending/receiving files. Ultimately, I'm trying to be able to use my PC as the "bluetooth headset" for my phone, so that I do not have to take off my headphones to answer calls to my mobile.
whenever I call or receive call I can listen to the one I am talking to very well..but my voice never reaches properly to others in my lolipopbupdatef Xperia z2?
when I use my phone not long time for example a simple game or import contacts my phone CPU turns very fast and did not work properly and the menu that open is closed and you can not use the phone because each menu wanted open is closed and can not dial any number because it closed by phone. some times when the phone in my pocket and it warmed very little the CPU hanged and did not work .
I went for a short walk today, and when I got home I noticed that endomondo had it as a 4km walk. I measured on gmaps pedometer as less then 2km. When I had a look at map, I saw why.

few days ago I've made a discussion here about the GPS of my Mini, that wasn't working good after an update. Before the update, it got locked on 30 seconds(max) in a cold start, and in a normal start, in about 5~10 seconds. After the update in the same conditions and same place, in a cold start, it takes around 1~2 minutes, and in a normal start it takes around 30 seconds. That's not normal, my friend has a Mini too and he is with the same firmware and his lock time on a cold start is around 25~30 seconds and on a normal start 5~10 seconds. I get the phone to the SE assistance, after 1 day they told me that was a firmware trouble and updated it again, but the phone still the same. What should I do?
I have the xperia x10 mini and it is not charging properly anymore. This is my THIRD phone because the others had the same problem! Iv had new chargers and kept my phone off to charge it and it still will not work properly. The battery is built inside the phone so I cannot remove it at all. why my phone wonnt charge?
Anyone had any experience trying to get Openwatch to download on their X8? I have tried to download it several times from Marketplace and it says it downloaded successfully, but when I go to open the app, it just has a one-page list of updates, but no program to launch. It means I can't use my MBW-150.
the thing is sometimes the data traffic doesnt work, i mean when i enable data traffic there is no E symbol and the same thing is happening with my GPS...sometimes they creates problem and if GPS get started its nt able to provide actual location. things what i did--- system reset 2 times + system repair using PC companion but the problem is from 2 days..what should i do to enjoy my cell phone experience again..
My phone came with GB 2.3.4 build .62 which is hard to root. So as the above guide directed, I downloaded a .42 build firmware, CE(Central Europe perhaps? I don't know) and tried to flash it using flashtool. I disconnected the phone from the PC in between. My phone wouldn't boot. Then I used SUS and updated it to ICS, making the phone work. I then flashed it to GB .42 patiently, and with success. Alas, problems started immediately. Many processes such as media, calender storage, acro etc came up as stopped working. Even after selecting force close they would keep appearing. I cleared the respective cache/data and the notifications stopped. Then I rooted it using Doomlord's toolkit, and updated to .62 via OTA, keeping my root. A few things have changed. The keyboard name is the same, International keyboard, but it is different and I don't like it. Camera is not working. Screen goes blank if I open the camera. Messaging does not work and the messaging app crashes as soon as I open it. No contacts are found, despite importing them again. (They all show up when using the import from SIM option, it says importing is done but they are nowhere to be found). Google search is not working and it crashes too.
Today, my Sony Experia Ray would not start properly. The Sony Ericsson screen came on but then it doesn't start up. (at least I know the screen hasn't broke)
My Xperia Z3+ is not working properly. The touchscreen works at random on its own and most of times won't work especially on the corner ends both bottom and up...Plus when I try to slide the it doesn't work either.Continues even after removing all the covers and cleaning and so on..
If leave a wifi area my xperia z2 doesn't start to use mobile data, so I have to reboot like ten times a day... Also i even lose mobile data without entering a wifi sometimes.furthermore the signal is pretty weak compared to my old xperia Z :-(
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.
I think the blue colour of the led doesnt work because i wont light up pink or blue or cyan.It will flash red and green and it is constantly yellow all the time even when not in charge.I downloaded an app from the android market that tests the LEDs and the blue colours dont work at all and when i choose megenta it comes up red.
