How do I control what shortcut icons appear in the screen corners ?? And yes I have attempted to glean the info from the manual but without success. My immediate problem is that the bottom left & botton right icons have changed to something I never use, which makes it a PITA to find the applications I really want there.
View 5 RepliesWhat happened to the "good old BB days".... I am usually the one who fixes BB problems for all my friends. My Torch (my 6th BB) somehow switched the number of icons per screen configuration from many icons to a single icon per screen. The Torch screen locking mechanism is too sensitive and my BB unlocked in my pocket (this is a major defect).Once unlocked my "pocket" must have launched a shortcut from the touch screen reconfiguring the number of icons per screen. I was told by a BB guru that I would probably have to reload the OS software to get the standard configuration back. how to launch the icon settings short cut? What is absurd and annoying is that there is no way to change the number of icons per screen from all the Options (tool icon) menu.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a week old 8520, put an invisible shield on the other day and it looks ok. One corner is screwed up because I had to peel it up to remove a speck of dust but over all it looks fine. I just noticed today that there was some dust under one of the corners, but it's under the plastic screen not under the invisible shield. I thought these screens were sealed? It hasn't been dropped or anything, barely been used. Any advise besides taking it off and cleaning it out? What else besides the special plastic tool can be used to remove the screen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter the GB update, anytime that I mount/unmount the SD card, any icons that i have created dissapear from the home pages. This is only for apps that I moved to the SD card. I've tried rebooting, and no change. Any thoughts? BTW, I did a full wipe and reset after the GB installation.
With Froyo, if the card was unmounted, any app moved to the SD card, the shortcut icons were shown as generic with a gear icon. However, once mounted, the the app icon would be restored.
Is it possible to remove or turn off the red flag background from browser shortcuts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst off when I take my phone out of lock or wake up it from sleeping the icons are missing till i wipe my finger across the screen.. its weird to explain but its kinda like i have to swipe the whole screen for the icons to be visable the same thing happens when my phone goes to sleep and the keyboard is open.. any ideas?

I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Z2 with latest 5.0 build (28). 1-2 days since i updated my phone, camera app stopped working. I open it and it's just a black screen with control buttons. It doesn't make pictures. I tried to reset my phone with PCC, but problem stayed. I downloaded other camera apps from Play Market and they also didn't work, then i turned off stock camera app (in settings) and other camera apps worked fine. When i turn stock camera app back it works for some hours and then again black screen.

Second problem: I can't scroll down the notification bar in portrait mode,it works in landscape mode.this was the first which had araised in my phone and later the home screen buttons.
With my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

I need to know whether it is normal or is it issue with my Lumia 1520.
At all corners and sides, the image is stretched. For example, if I take a photo of person whose head will be in the middle of the screen, then image comes out perfect.
But if I tilt my phone so that bring head close to top of the screen, then I see head is stretched.
On my 6p, the traditional power+volume down shortcut doesn't produce screenshot.
