Just trying to create a shortcut to a playlist, so I do not have to navigate through multiple screens to start the playlist I want to play.

Jul 20, 2010I have just received a new Sony Ericsson Elm. On my K800i, there is a play button on the left side of the phone which is really handy for playing music. But on the Elm getting to the music player is a lot more difficult, even though I create a shortcut to the "media" option, in order to access to the music player.
I will have to scroll down once, select "music", then click on "resume", which is rather inconvenient. I just wondered is it possible to create a one touch shortcut to "Music Player"?

Dec 16, 2011On my Bionic, when I put it into the standard dock the dock applicaiton normally starts. Sometimes after I have needed to access a couple of applications without taking the phone out of the dock... the dock application will not come back up without removing the phone from the dock completely. Obviously I don't want to have to do that every time. Is there a way to create a shortcut to the dock application? Also, the last update is overriding the dock application screen timeout?

Jun 2, 2011After the GB update, anytime that I mount/unmount the SD card, any icons that i have created dissapear from the home pages. This is only for apps that I moved to the SD card. I've tried rebooting, and no change. Any thoughts? BTW, I did a full wipe and reset after the GB installation.
With Froyo, if the card was unmounted, any app moved to the SD card, the shortcut icons were shown as generic with a gear icon. However, once mounted, the the app icon would be restored.
BB Torch :: Number Of Icons Per Screen Changed By Shortcut?
May 19, 2011What happened to the "good old BB days".... I am usually the one who fixes BB problems for all my friends. My Torch (my 6th BB) somehow switched the number of icons per screen configuration from many icons to a single icon per screen. The Torch screen locking mechanism is too sensitive and my BB unlocked in my pocket (this is a major defect).Once unlocked my "pocket" must have launched a shortcut from the touch screen reconfiguring the number of icons per screen. I was told by a BB guru that I would probably have to reload the OS software to get the standard configuration back. how to launch the icon settings short cut? What is absurd and annoying is that there is no way to change the number of icons per screen from all the Options (tool icon) menu.

I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

There is the one shortcut that you can put in the bottom four can take you to the dialer (as long as the dialer was the last thing you used) or to your contacts (if that was the last thing you used). The one I would like to be able to put on the bottom is the dialer shortcut that can take you to the dial pad no matter what. I can put that shortcut anywhere but in the bottom four. Does anyone know of a way to put the shortcut to the direct dialer down on the bottom without having to use something like launcher pro or ADW?

Jan 7, 2010I have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

It is important to notice that I didn't removed such icons, because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. When you remove/insert icons on this panel, they auto arrange in this screen. So it is not possible to leave the screen with these "holes".
This happens when I switch users in the phone. The guest user does not have the same icons than the proprietary, so when I switch back, my icons are not restored. To workaround I have to edit this menu and move any icon, or restart the phone.

If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned.Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Try this link...www.mediafire.com/?a01dw4w4azasjmn2. Install the app anywhere in your phone, phone memory, mass memory or memory card.3. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. Once the shortcut bar is added, tap it and go into the settings for adding the shortcuts to it.6. Now if you want to add only one app in the shortcut bar, select the desired location from one to four and add the app. In the rest of the locations, add the vacuum app.7.
Now close the shortcut and return to home screen. You should see only one shortcut in the shortcut bar. This way you can place any one app at any location on the grid with app.What's actually vacuum app? Its a dummy app which when installed, results in an app which doesn't do anything on installation and has a transparent icon. So an unknowing tap on the shortcut also will do nothing. Tada! What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? The idea is when my phone isn't in use I would like the icons to go away. Sort of like a screen saver. It's a BB Storm 2, 9550.
