I have a Nokia 500 since last week. I would like to create a shortcut to speed dialling, but only applications, first level, are available. In my opinion, it would be possible to choose an option within the application.

View 3 Replies View RelatedToday the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear.In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?

Previously on standard cell phones, I would dial the phone number, insert "ppp" for pauses while the auto attendant would prompt the next step. There are 3 series of number to get all the way in. Example would be: 800-555-5555ppp555ppp5555ppp5555 and I would be in to retrieve messages.
I have tried a few different options and have be unsuccessful.My carrier is AT&T.BB is a Bold 9700.Does anyone have any suggestions??

When ever anyone phones or I phone anyone it brings up the same picture out of my gallery how do I get rid off it?
before update I could use smart dialing (meaning by entering member/letters while dialing phone was searching matching contacts and displaying the ones that do match). After update this stopped working. I still have an option to turn smart dialing on/off (when turning on/off I see a change on the screen - the part where numbers show up gets bigger when smart dialing turned off) but there are no suggestions displayed when entering numbers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe n8 has a minimum shutter speed of 1/15s in the default camera (from what I have read). With CameraPro, you can get it down to 1/5s (although I am sure I saw 1/2.5s). I would love a bulb stop, but a multi second option would also be great. Night shots could be enhanced - for example car headlight trails, star pics (ie. astrophotography).

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe designers of the N8 left out a HUGE camera setting, and that is the ability to directly control the shutter speed.
Right now the N8 cannot do things my old Sony Ericsson C905 can do, and that is slow down the shutter speed to take long 1sec+ photos at night.
So, you will never be able to use a tripod and capture tail lights from cars like this effect. I hope this gets address with a software update. Nokia is crippling this Carl Zeiss optics with limitations.

I have countless photos where everything on screen is blurred out even with focus light on and Human faces detected by the actual camera. Sometimes I have to touch focus 3 times to get a non retarded full screen photo. And consistently the shutter speed is too slow for clear photos. This is all on default automatic mode.

Seems Touch-Wiz on 4.4.2 has taken away this feature. On my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active I could use Any Cut to create a short cut, and while Any Cut still has limited functionality on 4.4.2 it no longer shows Playlists. Just trying to create a shortcut to a playlist, so I do not have to navigate through multiple screens to start the playlist I want to play.

But on the Elm getting to the music player is a lot more difficult, even though I create a shortcut to the "media" option, in order to access to the music player.

On my Bionic, when I put it into the standard dock the dock applicaiton normally starts. Sometimes after I have needed to access a couple of applications without taking the phone out of the dock... the dock application will not come back up without removing the phone from the dock completely. Obviously I don't want to have to do that every time. Is there a way to create a shortcut to the dock application? Also, the last update is overriding the dock application screen timeout?

View 1 Replies View Relatedam currently looking at buying a XPRT and making the switch from BB.I am currently a BB Curve user on the Sprint network. I tried a non-BB phone and got the Android Samsung Intercept about a year ago and HATED it. After a month or two of using it, it became obvious to me that 1- I needed a physical keypad (without sliding) like the BB model. 2- I hated the dialing on the touchscreen phone. Most notably I missed the "quick dial shortcut" feature on the BBWhen I see screen shots of the XPRT, it doesn't look like you can dial on the keypad (albeit small, BB has the 1-9 keypad on the left side of the QWERTY board). Not a huge thing if not.
But what is huge is having the ability to assign "shortcuts" to the keypad for dialing. In other words, for example, can I press and hold the "D" key on the keypad and it calls whoever I assign to the "D" key?If the phone itself doesn't offer this function, is there an App for it?
As the title of the thread says, i'd just like to know if this is at all possible. I've tried getting to it via the shortcuts menu, and by navigating through the menus and trying the long press method. Nothing happens though. Please share your knowledge if you have found a way.
