View 1 RepliesEverything was working fine before I accepted an update to the firmware on the phone and now whenever I try to add a contact it thinks i'm in the US and will only accept a numeric zipcode and not an alpha-numeric UK postcode.I've checked all my settings and can't find what to alter.

View 3 Replies View RelatedToday the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear. In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new BB user and have asked several people how to speed dial into my office's automated voice mail system to retrieve messages. Previously on standard cell phones, I would dial the phone number, insert "ppp" for pauses while the auto attendant would prompt the next step. There are 3 series of number to get all the way in. Example would be: 800-555-5555ppp555ppp5555ppp5555 and I would be in to retrieve messages.
I have tried a few different options and have be unsuccessful. My carrier is AT&T.BB is a Bold 9700.Does anyone have any suggestions??

I'm coming from the S3 which had a "Favorite Contacts Widget" that was a 3x3 grid that showed me 9 of my favorite contacts. With the S5 this widget is gone. I looked for one in the Play Store but none are as good as the one on the S3. how to find the S3 widget again?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the latest update from tmobile my favorite contacts are not appearing on my edge, the tab is only there sometimes. My settings is all correct and the only way that tab will appear is if I restart my phone and or go into my settings, turn off people edge and back on then it appears again, but only for a little while. Then disappears again, same with restarting my phone. This one of the main reasons I bought this phone.
I'm running 5.1.1 with t-mobile
Right after upgrade to 4.0.4, I had to rebuild my Favorite Contacts. When I open one and select "text", I am presented with eMail addresses not SMS phone numbers. The phone number is in the contact. How do I get the phone number here? I also use Handcent SMS and it also shows the email address. This did not happen before the upgrade.
View 7 Replies View Relatedam currently looking at buying a XPRT and making the switch from BB.I am currently a BB Curve user on the Sprint network. I tried a non-BB phone and got the Android Samsung Intercept about a year ago and HATED it. After a month or two of using it, it became obvious to me that 1- I needed a physical keypad (without sliding) like the BB model. 2- I hated the dialing on the touchscreen phone. Most notably I missed the "quick dial shortcut" feature on the BBWhen I see screen shots of the XPRT, it doesn't look like you can dial on the keypad (albeit small, BB has the 1-9 keypad on the left side of the QWERTY board). Not a huge thing if not.
But what is huge is having the ability to assign "shortcuts" to the keypad for dialing. In other words, for example, can I press and hold the "D" key on the keypad and it calls whoever I assign to the "D" key?If the phone itself doesn't offer this function, is there an App for it?
OS 6 appears to use a significantly larger portion of phone memory allocation. With a modest set of apps and removal of the unused games, etc. I have a base level of around 40MB left for use. Daily use rediced that to 10-16 MB and if lower I get low memory displays, and need to reboot to recover the available memory. The consumed memory is in the Other category. This was never an issue with OS 5, which I'd guess had a smaller OS. Any content I store is on the media card. Is there a way to allocate memory differently, direct any operational cache or buffer to the media card, or some other action to reconcile the consumption or lack of available memory?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I connected my Bell Vibrant to my Win7 X64 PC via Bluetooth, and all sorts of funny issues happen when attempting to control dialing from my PC, and use my computer as a speakerphone. To begin with, the "Hangup" button doesn't work, plus whenever I press the "Connect" button to "Use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls on your phone (Galaxy S)," the phone starts dialing the number written in the "Make a call to this number:" field (when there's a number written there--otherwise it would start dialing the latest dialed number) without my having to press the "Connect" button. Ain't that funny? Anyone else going through this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAny good app to speed up Internet access on Galaxy S2 running ICS. Wifi connection is fine, it's when I am connected via 3G that speed drops and applications such as facebook takes a long time to open and sometimes I encounter timeout errors. For a phone with such a fast processor this is a little bit disappointing. My question therefore is there an app that can run in the background to speed the 3g connection up?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI need an alternative to iSmartDialer. Purchased this software for my 3GS same time ago and ended up having to purchase a second copy so it would work on my fiancées phone too. At one point I restored and couldn't find the code and iSmartDialer customer service gave me hell retrieving my key. Now we both have iPhone 4's and the application is telling me 1 code to 1 device without a transfer option. Going to their website, it actually says NO transfers. Kind of funny considering back when we purchased it didn't say anything about no transfers nor did rockyourphone.com.
So at this point, I am not paying another cent to this dirty company and advise others not to either unless you like to buy the application everytime you get a new device. With that said, I am looking for a simple dialing application that will allow me to save contacts to the number pad. So, when you hold #1 for example it calls whoever you have assigned to that key. Anyone know of an application like that?
I was wondering if there's a way to setup speed dial contacts on the X10? Like, you keep pressing '2' to call someone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had any problems with the Messager II / R560 as far as the keypad is concerned? My keypad has become iffy when I press certain keys. It happens mostly with the "T" key. Sometimes I'll press it and it won't register. Sometimes I'll press it and it won't register but then double the "T" the next time I hit it. It'll do this on some other keys around the "T" but mostly the T. I'm thinking it's a warranty issue. This started about a 1.5 months in to using it. I just wanted to get a feel for anyone else having this problem. I'm on Cricket...but I assume this is a problem with the MetroPCS version, too.
