Xperia X10 :: Unable To Turn On After Software Update?
Jan 7, 2011
Whilst trying to update android software, i was half way through downloading and a message came up saying to abort and restart. So i follow the instructions and disconnect usb from computer again and the phone turns off. When i try to turn it on it vibrates like if you were turning it on..but nothing else happens. Now my computer doesnt recognise it and neither does the charger
i have bought my x10 mini and i am update it from android 1.6 to android 2.1 by myself using sony PC companion. yes , i am able to install it in about 1 hour , i have notice that the battery consumption after the update is terrible, battery would not recover although the screen is turn off , battery temperature is about 34 deg celcius.I am then turn off all the data transfer , wifi , GPS, background process , kill all the running app application and measure the battery consumption rate !!! it give me 20 minute/percent of battery which is very not desired ! For "my" X10 mini SE 2.1 update ecleair got bug on CPU management, it run continously without going to sleep mode!
My Xperia X10 just switch off out of sudden probably because it was out of battery. Tried to turn it on but nothing happens! I tried charging while turning it on. Even removing the battery, sim card and memory card out of the phone and in again. It still doesn't work!
I was trying to update my X10 for pinch zoom It says certification error and the updates getting disconnect. I checked my system firewall and my modem firewall too everything is perfect. And I tried with my friend's machine there too I am getting same error.
I contacted Sony Ericsson customer care regarding this, they replied go and update ur phone in service center. Too bad they didnt tell me why I was not able to update my phone.
The Sony PC Companion has started showing that an update is available for my xperia pro as soon as i connect it. I happily selected the update option and on the first attempt it downloaded the update which took more than 10 mins in my case. Then it reboots the phone in the flash mode i believe and when it's time to install the update, simply comes out with an error that no update is available for your phone.
Hi, I haven't had my X10 for longer than 3 months and it's already 'died' on me, when I charge it, I know my phone picks it up as it flashes red as it does when it's charging when low on battery. My phone doesn't charge. I'm not sure whether it's a battery or hardware problem.
I just bought this phone and I accidentally hit update install, the phone turned off and it does not open anymore. We tried to PC Companion and Service update, both successfully updated but still my phone is not turning on.. When I hit the power button, the green light is blinking..
This morning there was an software update on my xperia active, i clicked ok and it failed to download a couple of times, i figured maybe because i was downloading via wi-fi. i finaly downloaded it and then when finished it started to instal. after that my phone went into a "coma" it is non responsive, the only two vague signs of life is when i conected it to my PC and the little green light on the upper left of the screen lite up. but then the PC keeps making the plug-in plug-out sound and nothing happends, the other is when i press the on button on the phone that same green light flashes for a spit of a second and does not show up again. i've downloade SEUS and PCC tried to up date in both of them to update first and then to original setting and nothing, also tried the rapair, under softwear updates and nothing it takes for ever and and twice frozze in mid process.
my X10 won't turn on after the software update I did last night. When I press the power button, I only get a blinking red LED light and nothing else. I've tried to connect it to PC Companion but it won't connect because the USB can't detect something that's powered off, or at least that's what I think since it's not connecting.
Yesterday I updated my phone. After the update I'm not able to start up the phone again. The black start screen (black screen saying SONY Xperia) pops up for a few seconds and then the phone turns off and starts up again with the same screen. It keeps doing this over and over again.
I've tried pushing the OFF butten/+vol button, but the same things happen when I try to turn if on again.
I've tried to connect it to PC companion, but since the phone turns off and on all the time I'm not able to connect it to the PC.
I recently upgraded my Ray to version 4.0.2.A.0.62. Since the upgrade the Bluetooth doesn't turn on at all, just says "Bluetooth turning on" then reverts to an off state. Prior to the update it worked perfectly. Upgrade was done using PCC, no errors, but even so have tried several repairs since and still doesn't solve the problem. Have tried factory resets, rollback to the original version, Sony Update Service instead of PCC?
I've seen a lot of discussion regarding the X10 not turning on after a failed update, but my issue seems to be different from all of them.I've seen people mentioning that their green light flickers, or the screen is frozen or displays an error message. Mine does NONE of that.Holding down the power button does nothing at all. The phone shows no sign of life. The LED doesn't come on, the screen doesn't come on, nothing. It does nothing. The battery is charged (and I even left it charging for over an hour - during which the LED was STILL off) and it will not connect to any of the Sony Ericsson software on my laptop.
yesterday I connected my Z2 to a regular headphone jack and few seconds later the phone turned off.
Now it can´t turn it on if i try to turn it on it shows the regular boot (sony xperia shows up) and the the screen goes black.
Tried to repair it with pcc but on the stage that i should connect the usb cable to the phone and press the down button nothing happens. So what to do?
The battery of my xperia mini pro got depleted during an update attempt, and since then it won't turn on, charge, nor be recognized by my computer through the USB cable connection. Hence the PC companion won't recognize it as well. It doesn't vibrate or turn any lights on, just gets a little bit hotter when connected for a long period of time.
I have installed Lollipop but PC Companion insist an update exist i ended with a Software update failed boot message, my error was try to update with battery with 65% of charge. And cannot remember what happen but i ended with the Software update failed error, and the phone switch off and on and off and on with the same message, i read other post about turn off and charge, but i turn off with the little red button to force it but if i connect the magnetic cable or the usb cable to power it turn on again, i force to turn off and and the phone turn on again (with the message of failed update).
I can't get into my xperia z3 after downloading the new update. I did it yesterday (24/7-15). It only says that Android is starting and that the phone is optimizing apps...after a while my phone doesn't work at all or just restarts again.
My Sony x10 mini doesn't turn on after an update attempt?I was trying to update my phone software because he has been really slow and with some errors, so i tried to update but there was an error during the update, they said i should turn off the phone, i did it now it doesnt turn on. When i press the button the green light appears once and the image i get is a phone and a exclamation point...is the phone ruined...?
I connect the phone to the pc, it gathers the information it needs to do the update, then i get to the screen where i'm asked to un-plug the usb from the pc & from the phone.i turn off the phone and wait 30 seconds (i know it says i only need to wait 5 seconds)
okay imtrying to update my phone to the 2.1 version. I downloaded the backup and restore. Then i i pressed the button to backup and only button that came up was ok instead of settings and okay.i tried to redownlaod. and now i cant. i even tried the dolphin brwoser.
i have tried updating my sony xperia ray android to 4.0 several times but it keeps saying some components not downloaded. i live in india and i use a broadband connection.
i updated my xperia neo v to ics....it workd smoothly....after that i had some issues in my phone's touchscreen....for which i gave it to sony ericsson service centre...they replaced my screen n changed my version back to gingerbread....now whenever i try to update to ICS via pc companion....it doesn't work...
Model Number: X10i Firmware Version: 1.6 Baseband Version: 1.1.31 Kernel Version: 2.6.29-rel Build Number R2BA026
I can't update my phone with either PCC or SEUS. When I restart the phone (hold the back button while plugging in the micro usb cable), the phone restarts normally. I'm running latest versions of SEUS and PCC. PCC recognizes my phone and recognizes there is an update available. I'm running windows7 64 bit.How do I update my phone?
I am unable to update my Neo V from ICS 4.0.3 to 4.1.B.0.431 on my Neo V.My Device is rooted and I have removed boatwares. I don't want to use flastool. I have tired OTA update (5 times) and got below attached error. PCC says my phone software is uptodate.
I am trying for the last two days to update my Neo V but...I have download SUS tool and according to instructions I am connecting USB cable while pressing back key, it does not do any thing. Memory card is detected by PC. I keep on pressing the key for about one minute but SUS doesnt detect my mobile.
Connected it to the PC companion and was informed about the update. Switched off the phone and turned it back on. Connected the usb port while holding the back button and selected connect the phone but nothing happened. I've tried this about 6 times now and nothing.Should the phone be asking me what i want to do each time? I thought there was an option to set the phone to automatically mount when connecting the usb cable but it seems to be gone in 2.1. Could anything be blocking it? My phone is UK unbranded and on firmware version 2.1-update 1.
