Sometimes when I have my screen locked (either by pressing the screen lock button at the top of the phone, or automatically after the time-out) people are unable to call me, they get a 'busy' tone.I have tried phoning my mobile from a land-line and I usually get through and from that point on the other person can also get through to my mobile Have I done something wrong or have a setting set incorrectly?
View 2 RepliesAnyway, last night I set my alarm as I normally do before bed and this morning I over slept by a disgusting amount because somehow all of my apps had spontaneously crashed while I was asleep! The force close notification kept coming up for a number of different applications before I was forced to simply turn it off. When I turned it on again a few seconds later, most of my settings had been wiped along with much of the data kept on the actual phone memory. Some stuff was still there, like all my apps, my connections and passwords, but my home screen was defaulted, as were my message tone, ring tone and input settings. Also gone were any phone numbers I had stored on the phone itself as well as all of my inbox messages.
So, I went into the settings to put my screen lock back on because I noticed that had been reset, too. I did the normal routine, picked the pattern, confirmed it and so on. But after I put my phone down and locked the screen, when I picked it back up again and pressed the home key to activate the screen, it was just unlocked. I didn't have to input the unlock pattern. However, when I went back into the settings to make sure they were all okay, it made me enter the unlock pattern to get into it! How odd.
My screen locks up during calls as it should but i cant get the screen back on again unless i pull the battery out

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm a new user, just got the SE XPERIA RAY yesterday, the phone has a great feature of locking the screen during a call (whether initiated or received) until the user clicks the home button. however upon receiving calls the screen locks (black screen), the home button doesnt unlock the screen and it stays that was after the call ends, until it restarts or i remove the battery. i removed the battery, sim and SD card. I updated the software then made a master reset, nothing works... should i replace the phone? or is there something else to try?

It could turn on again, but some settings were gone (VPN settings and Mobile Networks). I did the "Settings Reset", but it didn't work, nothing happened.
I can't receive phone calls and or texts, nor can I go online thru my Mini pro. What's wrong with my cellphone?
I am starting to get really annoyed with my phone, when I make voice calls I'm not able to lock the screen so that the touch screen is disabled?? and in doing so I either end up putting the call on mute, hold or even hang up!I have tried all I can think of, I have just updated my phone to the latest software 5 days ago and seemed ok for 2/3 days but now the darn bug is back. 1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter my Atrix was updated last week, I have been having problems (as with many others, it seems). My most glaring issues is that the screen does not go 'inactive' when I place a phone call and put the phone up to my ear.
Consequently, my cheek will press all sorts of buttons on the phone while I'm talking, and may times it turns out to be the Mute or EndCall button. When the End Call is hit, the phone actually locks up and needs to be rebooted.
It basically makes me have to place all of my phone calls on speakerphone in order to be useful.
Not sure if this is a configuration issue, faulty phone, or known bug, but my Photon's screen does not automatically unlock after pulling the phone away from my head after a phone call. My wife's Nexus goes dark (locks) during a call, and the screen comes back on (unlocks) after her call is complete.

I can still receive calls and can hear that the phone is functioning normally (ie. I have had issues with my screen for my Blackberry 9780 a few times so far. First time was within 3 months of the purchase. The screen went to a complete blank white, it wasnt an app error or anything. the phone worked fine, made and received calls, etc, but i just couldnt see what is on the screen. i payed to have the screen replaced and it only lasted another 8 months. Instead of fixing the screen again, i started to use a different 9780 that a friend of mine lent me. Its still fairly new and was working well until this past friday when i started to have the same exact screen issues again.
