View 1 RepliesHere's the deal.. I was driving today and all of a sudden my phone just stopped working.. I saw a notification saying I should restore my phone or contact apple.. My phone still powers on, I still have my custom lock screen and all but I can only make emergency calls and access SBSettings which doesn't actually work anymore. So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..

View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I have my screen locked (either by pressing the screen lock button at the top of the phone, or automatically after the time-out) people are unable to call me, they get a 'busy' tone.I have tried phoning my mobile from a land-line and I usually get through and from that point on the other person can also get through to my mobile Have I done something wrong or have a setting set incorrectly?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter my Atrix was updated last week, I have been having problems (as with many others, it seems). My most glaring issues is that the screen does not go 'inactive' when I place a phone call and put the phone up to my ear.
Consequently, my cheek will press all sorts of buttons on the phone while I'm talking, and may times it turns out to be the Mute or EndCall button. When the End Call is hit, the phone actually locks up and needs to be rebooted.
It basically makes me have to place all of my phone calls on speakerphone in order to be useful.
Anyway, last night I set my alarm as I normally do before bed and this morning I over slept by a disgusting amount because somehow all of my apps had spontaneously crashed while I was asleep! The force close notification kept coming up for a number of different applications before I was forced to simply turn it off. When I turned it on again a few seconds later, most of my settings had been wiped along with much of the data kept on the actual phone memory. Some stuff was still there, like all my apps, my connections and passwords, but my home screen was defaulted, as were my message tone, ring tone and input settings. Also gone were any phone numbers I had stored on the phone itself as well as all of my inbox messages.
So, I went into the settings to put my screen lock back on because I noticed that had been reset, too. I did the normal routine, picked the pattern, confirmed it and so on. But after I put my phone down and locked the screen, when I picked it back up again and pressed the home key to activate the screen, it was just unlocked. I didn't have to input the unlock pattern. However, when I went back into the settings to make sure they were all okay, it made me enter the unlock pattern to get into it! How odd.
Not sure if this is a configuration issue, faulty phone, or known bug, but my Photon's screen does not automatically unlock after pulling the phone away from my head after a phone call. My wife's Nexus goes dark (locks) during a call, and the screen comes back on (unlocks) after her call is complete.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIm a new user, just got the SE XPERIA RAY yesterday, the phone has a great feature of locking the screen during a call (whether initiated or received) until the user clicks the home button. however upon receiving calls the screen locks (black screen), the home button doesnt unlock the screen and it stays that was after the call ends, until it restarts or i remove the battery. i removed the battery, sim and SD card. I updated the software then made a master reset, nothing works... should i replace the phone? or is there something else to try?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am starting to get really annoyed with my phone, when I make voice calls I'm not able to lock the screen so that the touch screen is disabled?? and in doing so I either end up putting the call on mute, hold or even hang up!I have tried all I can think of, I have just updated my phone to the latest software 5 days ago and seemed ok for 2/3 days but now the darn bug is back. Is this a downside to the phone or am I doing something wrong?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been a BB lover for years. My Curve 5320 served me well and I loved it. When the new Bold 9700 was released I was one of the first to get it b/c businesses were offered the opportunity to get it before individuals. I was so excited about 3G, it's sleek look, etc. My excitement has officially crashed and burned. When placing calls it will fail repeatedly before even dialing the number. It will fail during calls up to 5 and 6 times in a few minute period, which is HORRIBLE during business calls. It will lock up when I'm trying to move between apps, it will spontaneously shut itself off. I'm feeling like my BB is possessed. This is my second 9700. The first the E key would stick or repeat 20 times on a text and the calls would fail, so they diligently sent me a new one. Thankfully, I no longer have to edit every text for 100 e's (i'm stopping @ theeeeeee storeeeeeeeeeee is theeeeeeereeeeeee anything you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed), but the failed calls thing is really pissing me off! Also, the volume on calls is really low in comparison to my Curve. To top it off, the 3G speed seems as slow as, if not slower than my former EDGE. I am hoping and praying that a software upgrade will fix all of these issues, but if it doesn't are there any suggestions as to what i can do? Other than switching to an iPhone? I for one happen to love my Qwerty keyboard and am not exactly fond of the on-screen keyboards.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed LockInfo a while ago. I got everything working fine, downloaded it and plugins fine. I got them all from the same repo as I was advised to do that, and everything seemed to be working fine. Everything was up to date etc.
I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?
I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
So I have been searching & have even spent money on trying to find a dot lock for the apple iphone 4s and dont seem to find it , does apple have it ? why or why not ?

I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:
Â
1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
Â
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
My phone won't lock or go into sleep mode when making or receiving calls. Consequently I keep activating the mute or loud speaker buttons with my cheek.

For ALL iPhone 4 users no matter what network you use ATT, Verizon, etc.By simply holding down the home button about 3-4 seconds when your iPhone 4 is locked, it will activate Voice Command, so anyone can make phone calls without a Passcode!Once Voice Command is active you can say dial...then say some random phone number and call will be placed.I'm not talking about a 911 call, i'm talking about any phone call to any number!

I have a BB Bold 9700 white. I recently downloaded a couple of apps from appworld and they ran fine. The thing is my network company is 3 and personally I think they are S*** to be honest. The network keeps going onto 'SOS calls only' alot of the time so I called the company up and they asked me to reboot my BB. After archiving all my apps in appworld I rebooted it and guess what...all the apps disappeared.Downloaded appworld again to check if they were on it but no luck. They were however on my memory card but the thing is it says it cant open the file. All the files end in '.cod.rem' and they are all 'forward locked' whatever that means. Anyone know what's going on and how to get the apps working again?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using Mail for Exchange, my company forces the phone to lock after 10 minutes of idle time. When I get a phonecall when the phone is locked, there is no way that you can have access tto normal phonecall functions as <Mute> and <Speaker> during a phonecall. And you can not unlock without breaking the call.Yes when you receive a call ther is a green <answer> and a blue <unlock> slider. Howvever when swipng the <unlock> you can only choose between <answer> and <reject> and there is [Option] that gives you access to <answer> or <reject> aswell. In other words no access to phone functions, No way you can activate the speaker on the phone when you were called while the phone was locked. This is quite useless and in my opinion a design flaw.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems as if I press the screen, it touches some of the keys at the qwerty keyboard. This wakes the phone from key lock and starts the emergency call screen. This is becoming quite a problem as I can't have the phone in my pocket for more then a few minutes before I hear the dialing sound (the sound when pressing a 0-9 key)I'm hoping there's a way to turn off this function (emergency dialing), especially when keys are locked.Does anyone have the same issue? Perhaps some update or android programming can help me?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust after some advice i gather there are quite a few apps that change your lock screen to show a variety of information, and just wondered what the best was.
I would like it to be free, and calendar information is a must.
And whilst i'm here are there any apps that would enable you to add a bit more to the calendar reminders - when they pop up on the lock screen I would really like a snooze for 15 minute option!

I recently got my iPhone4 and I am having a very annoying issue.During a call my phone would start doing stuff, from sending txt, putting people on mute/hold, calling other ppl.The screen is way to dam sensitive compare to the 3GS I previously had.I've purchased and put invisible sheild screen protector hoping it would dull the sensitivity but that was a fail.Anyway to lock the screen while in a call?
View 15 Replies View RelatedVerizon has tried to fix this problem and cannot. 98% of the time when I am on a call my screen does not lock and go black. Therefore I often mute people by mistake of some other function takes over that my face has activated. Very frustrating. Doesn't repair by turning phone off and then on again.

I cannot take pictures from the lock screen. I push the home button, i see the icon of the camera but when i try to push it the whole screen bumps slightly up and then settles back down without opening the camera app.
