Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Cannot Update To Android 2.1 Via PC Companion

I've got a Mini Pro and the operator is T-Mobile. T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore. Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again. I've turned my MMS & data off and Data roaming On if that makes any difference at all.

You want, that the ownwer of a pro installs PC companion and you animate him to upgrade to 4.o.4.But you don`t allude, the the pro gets much slower, can not be rooted simply as it is possible with android 2.3 !!

After trying many times and after disabling the AV program I could install the Android 2.1.I installed some free apps from the android market.Now when I try to connect the phone through PC Companion, the phone is restarting several times and I cant do any file management in the sd card

i got the update notification for xperia x10 few days back, i quickily connected it to pc using pc companion and took the backup, then i started the update process, it reached till prepared, and after that it started initialization, but here the problem started. it was showing the initialization for 4 hours, i thought may be it hanged so i stopped it and disconnected the phone and restarted the update process, same thing happened this time. the progress bar doesnt show any progress after initialization, it showed 100% in initialization after some 4 hours but after tht nothing happened.
i dont knw the problem, it can't be network problem, as i have a 1mbps connection and i checked the speed also before starting the update,
i kept the update process as it is for 10 hours, but it still didnt show any progress from the last time.

I received a message on my XPeria Mini Pro about the 4.1.B.0.587 Update. In fact, I can not install it. When I start the PC Companion software, it finds the connected Phone. Then I click on update. In the following window I click "Accept" and then the software should prepare the PC for the update. But after one second it stops and returns to Start without any comment. When I start Sony Mobile Update Service then it checks for new updates. As soon as the check is over, the program terminates without any comment. Is there a third way to upgrade?
My config:
PC with AMD, Windows 7 64 Bit, 16GB RAM

When u search for software update in phone it says "you have the latest software and applications from sony ericsson. your phone is up to date." At present my android version is 2.3.4 and build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62. Q1] why it is not showing update available when try to update from phone? Is it not fully released/ not compatible/ any bug/error ?
Q2] If i update to Ice Cream Sandwich and if any problem occurs then can i revert back to an old version of android i.e gingerbread.?

I am updating my xperia mini using pc companion, but I always stuck in step 2, when they tell follow this instructions then I follow, I disconnect the usb to the laptop then turn off the phone an then plug the usb again then press and hold the volume down while plugging the usb to phone and nothing happens..

I have a new Xperia mini (ST15i) and issues with the screen (instable, sometimes I have to pull out the battery). I red that an upgrade to Android 4 might solve the issue. See current version below.
I've tried to upgrade with PC Companion but the software sais that the phone is allready up-to-date. I also tried "repair" but that installs the same firm- and software that is allready on it
How can I upgrade to Android 4 and/or solve the issue?

After multiple tries of trying to update Android for my Xperia X10 mini pro phone via the PC Companion as well as the downloaded Update Service (after reading similar threads) i am still at a loss! I am in Mumbai using an Airtel SIM.
In the case of the PC Companion, it goes smoothly until the Prepare step (where no Previous & Next buttons appear). After "preparing" the phone nothing happens. I tried pressing Enter & then it goes onto the Update panel. But here the Download status bar is just mpty & doesnt download anything.
With the Update Service, it runs fine till the Connect step. After following the instructions once again nothing happens. Here there is only a Previous button & no Next button. Pressing Enter takes you to the Previous panel.
In both cases I have seen no message appear on the phone at all & no sign of anything being recognized on either of the softwares.

Instead, you should try to do software like we are used to in 21st century.I really have to restrain myself from using more appropriate language for your utter software engineering disability. Finally the Update to Android 2.1 is available, I think.On trying to update wit my phone, It says the update is available dat I should use a computer to do d update.
Here's were i need help, On using the Pc companion, after updatin the Pc companion, I tried to connect to get my Phone update but It tells me it needs to connect to the internet to be able to do this, But I'm already connected to the net.
I know my Pc companion is ment to tell me automatically that there is an update for my phone available since my phone gets the message while i use it but the Pc companion doesnt.
