Xperia Mini/pro :: PC Companion Repair Is Taking Too Long?
Nov 13, 2012I have upgraded my SK17i to ICS when I first bought it and update it again with 587 update last months. But my phone have this lag problem so, I thought I repair it via PC Companion today. The problem is, phase 3 (updating) phase doesn't seems to progress. The progress bar is at zero for an hour now and my internet is connected.
Update: This is taking too long for me to wait, I'm cancelling the update by clicking the [x] button. I hope it doesn't touch anything on the system and just downloading the update file.
Update 2: I cannot boot my phone now, it shows yellow triangle with exlamation mark.

Nov 2, 2012You want, that the ownwer of a pro installs PC companion and you animate him to upgrade to 4.o.4.But you don`t allude, the the pro gets much slower, can not be rooted simply as it is possible with android 2.3 !!

Nov 26, 2010I've got a Mini Pro and the operator is T-Mobile. T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore. Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again. I've turned my MMS & data off and Data roaming On if that makes any difference at all.

Nov 16, 2010i got the update notification for xperia x10 few days back, i quickily connected it to pc using pc companion and took the backup, then i started the update process, it reached till prepared, and after that it started initialization, but here the problem started. it was showing the initialization for 4 hours, i thought may be it hanged so i stopped it and disconnected the phone and restarted the update process, same thing happened this time. the progress bar doesnt show any progress after initialization, it showed 100% in initialization after some 4 hours but after tht nothing happened.
i dont knw the problem, it can't be network problem, as i have a 1mbps connection and i checked the speed also before starting the update,
i kept the update process as it is for 10 hours, but it still didnt show any progress from the last time.

Dec 15, 2010My Xperia X8 is currently using the old version of Android I think 1.6 as my phone keeps telling me I need to update it to 2.1. I have been trying to do this with PC Companion but every time I try it, the software gets to the preparation section and tells me installation error unable to install or start phone software update components. I then have no option but to close the box.I then get another box come up saying the update of software failed. Please try again or consult Sony Ericsson support for assistance at url...I have tried several times to do it through PC Companion but it just will not work.My phone is telling me that the firmware version is 2.1 update 1, I did upgrade it to Android 2.1 when I first got the phone, but I had to do a factory reset of the phone due to an error, which set it back to Android 1.6.
