Xperia Mini/pro :: Downgrade Android 4.0.4. With PC Companion?
Nov 2, 2012
You want, that the ownwer of a pro installs PC companion and you animate him to upgrade to 4.o.4.But you don`t allude, the the pro gets much slower, can not be rooted simply as it is possible with android 2.3 !!
I've got a Mini Pro and the operator is T-Mobile. T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore. Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again. I've turned my MMS & data off and Data roaming On if that makes any difference at all.
im from india and looking forward to update my SE X-Neo V to ICS 4. this update is yet to come to my country. As of now ive a heard a lot of bad reviews regarding ICS4 on Neo V. But still i want to give it a try just to experience the new UI.
Ive a simple question in mind. If a upgrade to ICS4 is there any way to downgrade to 2.3.4? If there is, will it effect by warranty? and pls let me know if the downgrade is availble through Sony.
if I can downgrade android 4.0 to 2.3 in a xperia ray smartphone... Yesterday I did the upgrade in my sister's smartphone. Unfortunatelly she is used to android 2.3 , so she asked me to restore it...I thought that a factory reset would correct it, but no..
I Have installed officially the new anroid 4 ICS on my Xperia Pro and many of my games aren't working and just crash and close the moment i pay the game.i want back my old anroid but i know that i can only do this in the service center.I need to know if there's an other way to downgrade my android with rooting or with flashing or anything else .JUST GIVE ME BACK MY ANDROID i agreed to install android 4 because i was thinking it was better and improved but how i see it causes me much more problems ,even if it's more exciting than the old android i don't need it if it doesn't work right.
After trying many times and after disabling the AV program I could install the Android 2.1.I installed some free apps from the android market. Now when I try to connect the phone through PC Companion, the phone is restarting several times and I cant do any file management in the sd card
i got the update notification for xperia x10 few days back, i quickily connected it to pc using pc companion and took the backup, then i started the update process, it reached till prepared, and after that it started initialization, but here the problem started. it was showing the initialization for 4 hours, i thought may be it hanged so i stopped it and disconnected the phone and restarted the update process, same thing happened this time. the progress bar doesnt show any progress after initialization, it showed 100% in initialization after some 4 hours but after tht nothing happened.
i dont knw the problem, it can't be network problem, as i have a 1mbps connection and i checked the speed also before starting the update, i kept the update process as it is for 10 hours, but it still didnt show any progress from the last time.
My Xperia X8 is currently using the old version of Android I think 1.6 as my phone keeps telling me I need to update it to 2.1. I have been trying to do this with PC Companion but every time I try it, the software gets to the preparation section and tells me installation error unable to install or start phone software update components. I then have no option but to close the box.I then get another box come up saying the update of software failed. Please try again or consult Sony Ericsson support for assistance at url...I have tried several times to do it through PC Companion but it just will not work.My phone is telling me that the firmware version is 2.1 update 1, I did upgrade it to Android 2.1 when I first got the phone, but I had to do a factory reset of the phone due to an error, which set it back to Android 1.6.
I have bought a Xperia Mini Pro (sk17i) about two months ago.I was planning to upgrade to ICS but I am affraid that I can regret it. First, I see many people unhappy with some bugs on ICS and, second, I am affraid that I dont like ICS even if it has no bugs. I would like to try it but only if I could downgrade from ICS to GB (as it came when I bought the phone).
So, my question is if I can revert the phone to as it came when I bought it in the case that I upgrade to ICS and dont like it.(I mean a legal and official way to downgrade. Also, taking the phone to a Service Center wont be a solution because, as far as I konw, there is none in Portugal).
so i got the notification on the new software update nd it says connet to a pc to recieve it. then u get told to download this pc companion. so i have done. then i notice it says no phone connected. so i click how to connect i then get to stage two and it says connect usb cable to your computer and then to your phone so i do that and nothing happens. i wait 30 seconds and nothing happens i disconect my phone and connect it again and still nothing happens all its doing is charging my phone. i've done it over and over again and nothing happens.
When I connected my xperia x10 mini phone to pc using pc companion and it shows that there is softwatre update is available.(I want to update it from 1.6 to 2.1). but it is failing in the 2nd stage only syaing installation failed.
I can't connect my X10 mini pro with PC Companion although I tried all the steps and supports instruction (reconnect the USB plug, tunrn off then turn on the phone, uninstall then reinstall the PC Companion, etc...). It appeared (a thousand times) "No phone connected".
When I installed the software for the first time, it asked to me to delete PC Companion data from the memory card to save space, but I didn't. Now I need more space, but I can't find that 'feature' no more, I tried to unistall and reinstall the software but this time no message appeared. What should I do to remove those files?
I've been trying to update my phone through Sony PC Companion but it won't let me because there seems to be a problem with the Online Server. Will this go over in some time or what? This problem has been for almost a week now.
I have just formatted my laptop and installed win-7 64 bit , Now I want to install PC Companion on it what I should do for it. I have ICS in my mobile.
syncing my mini pro to google - especially calendar and contacts, theese are the two most important features of the phone for me. In the past but more often recently (actually every time I sync via internet connection), I get theese notifications: am using Bussines Calander Free app as my calendar app. Could this be issue with PC Companion or with BCF?
My Xperia Mini Pro [SK17i] is not detected by PC Companion under both Windows XP & Seven. The device works fine in Mass Storage Mode, so the connectivity cable & ports are alright. Then I tried with the 'Device Manager' Updating, Uninstalling & Reinstalling & even changing the ports. The device still fail to start in MTP Mode as the Windows 7 would say.
i checked on the sony website, they say ics update for xperia mini is available but when i connect to pc companion or update service, it says you phone already has the latest software but it has GB, please tell me how to fix it.
