Sep 12, 2010I re-installed 2.3.3 after having a few problems and that went ok so I decided that I would root my phone as well. That didn't go so well. My phone will not boot up now.

Aug 17, 2011My phone seems to have died. It was working fine today, I got a call and then put it in my pocket.When I took it out a few hours later, it was turned off. I then tried to start it but nothing happened.So I tried removing the SIM car and the MicroSD card with no change.Nothing happens, the screen and led stay black, no vibration, no sound, it's off.

Apr 25, 2012I want to install CyanogenMod on my Ray but all the tutorials I have seen say I need to go into fastboot mode. Now, it says that all I have to do is hold the volume up button and attach a USB cable but nothing happens when I do this! The phone just charges as per usual.

Xperia Z3 :: Stuck On Boot Up And Won't Turn Off
Sep 6, 2012I woke up this morning to find that my phone had restarted itself over night, Thought nothing of it until 15 mins later I came back to it and it was still stuck in start up on the waves. It wont turn off or do anything when any of the buttons are pressed. The notification light is orange (dont know if that means anything).

I have since unplugged it and I am leaving to drain the battery hopefully that will do something...

Sep 6, 2012Xperia Z5 won't load into safe mode. Tried connecting through the micro USB cable, while holding down the power off button, and up volume key, it vibrates 3 times, but does nothing.

I've not unlocked my phone, or done anything its a standard Z5 Compact, no bootloader unlocked, or custom kernal etc installed.

Feb 7, 2011So my Z2Â ran out of battery last night, and this morning no matter how much it is charged it gets stuck at the telstra logo when booting?The only way to turn the device back off is to hold the power and up volume buttons.I have not flashed or modded the phone in any way.

Jul 16, 2012I have installed custom ROM of gingerbread v27 on my x8. I followed correctly all the guides and instruction and was able to succesfully run the custom ROM on my phone. All the requirements are met. (baseband is xxx015, and manuf. code is 11w28). After 1 week of succesful usage, suddenly a weird thing happens to my x8. When i tried to insert a different sim, it will reboot itself automatically and would do this cycle continually. If i removed the sim, it would just boot perfectly.
So i decided to factory reset my x8 on CWM and reinstall the custom ROM but the same thing happened after that.
Then i decided that i would relock bootloader and that made the whole thing worse. My x8 won't boot at all and won't even charge. If i connect it to my PC it would just stay under flash mode (green light goes on for 10 secs and the off for 5 secs and then recycled).

Jul 28, 2015I have never rooted my phone nor have I flashed a custom ROM before. I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.

Aug 25, 2012I wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32) and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) - it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug).There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...

Oct 30, 2010I have an Xperia X10 since July on Vodafone UK. It is (was) running the latest SE firmware, but is now 'bricked' - I learned this term while googl-ing for the problem, but all the mentions involve 'debranding' or installation of unofficial (unauthorised) firmware releases - and I haven't done ANY of that.
The story in detail:
1. In recent days I noticed some glitches in the performance of Android Market on the phone: some downloads were reported as 'unsuccessful' and had to be repeated. This happened both with new apps and with updates. On occasions a reboot was necessary for downloads to start happening normaly again.
2. Today (Sat 30-10) this went to extreme: NO download from the Market was possible at all, each time it stalled forever. As explanation, an error message started coming up: "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped and needs to be force-closed". No rebooting would solve this. I cleaned several caches (after reading various forums about the error)
3. I decided to reinstall the firmware, hoping to fix the Market performance. Backed up all my data and connected to PC Companion. In the first phase it reported that I "already have the latest version", but I wasn't after an update, so I went on to Repair / Reinstall.
4. The download went smoothly and the installation started well, proceeding to near-the-end. THEN, PC Companion reported: "The installation was unsuccessful, try again". I tried - several times, and the result was the same. Decided to return to my existing installation and seek other ways to repair that 'com.google.,..' process.
5. On attempting to boot, I saw that dreaded YELLOW TRIANGLE with no explanation, and a dead phone not responding to any controls. Had to turn it off by removing thebattery..
6. Several re-installation attempts with both Companion and SEUS also failed, and I am stuck with a useless brick

Xperia X10 :: Upgrade Fail - Phone Will Now Not Boot?

Turned phone on - get the SE logo, then the bottom half of the screen looks like someone stepped on it - weird yellow graphic appears all scrambled! Oct 24, 2011I am trying to unlock the boot loader of my Mini pro phone following the instructions given by Sony Ericsson on this page.
I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.

Jan 3, 2013This morning, I clicked on Bluetooth widget by mistake which rebooted the phone. Since then it was continuously on boot loop and keeps on rebooting itself after the XPERIA logo.It got turned on once in afternoon after which i did a factory reset and it was working fine. In eve I tried to turn the Bluetooth on and it is around 4-5 hours my phone is still rebooting continuously.It is Android 4.0.4 and never rooted, minimum apps, all are from PlayStore only.

Feb 7, 2011Two weeks ago my phone screen began randomly freezing, and a small section at the bottom would become digital noise/pixels. To fix this I simply locked my phone with the power button, waited a few minutes and my phone would be back to normal. I can't remember if this started happening before or after I updated my phone to the latest software.

For the last week when I unlock my phone, every now and again the screen won't turn on.
Sometimes when I plugged it in to charge, the charging screen would display and I could turn it on that way. When the screen was blank, sometimes I could press the power button repetitively (locking & unlocking my phone) and the screen would eventually turn on.
I then figured out I could do a 'hard reset' by holding down the power and volume up buttons, and my phone would work again.
