How to delete all gmail contacts from my xperia x10? There are like 2500 contacts related to gmail and 500 phone contacts. I want to delete all the gmail contacts and retain only fone contacts to copy them to my SIM card? I cannot delete them one by one? There should be a way to delete only gmail contacts. I'm using Xperia X10 with Android 2.1.

View 8 Replies View RelatedLove the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.

Currently using a Samsung S5. A new Gmail account was set up for this phone in order to sync the contacts to this new Gmail account. Previously it was synced to another Gmail account. Even though the phone said all has been synced (to the new Gmail), nothing appeared when I login to the new Gmail account contacts.

Now the contacts on my iPhone are no longer synced with my gmail account. If I make changes to a contact on my iPhone, that change does not show up on my laptop when I am logged into my gmail account.
Can I fix this by turning "on" the "Contacts" button under Settings > mail, contacts, calendars > Gmail > contacts > on?
When I attempt this it asks me what I want to do with the existing contacts on my phone. What do I want to do here? If I say leave the contacts on my phone will the contacts merge or will I end up with duplicates?
Anyone with Gmail of iPhone - Since I have updated to IOS4, when I swipe to delete an email on my phone, I get a red button which says "archive" instead of "delete." I'm able to delete emails on the device, and have them delete in gMailI am not able to:-Delete items in gMail and have them auto-delete on the device.I have set up "E-mail reconciliation" on the device.. and it all should be working.Blackberry KB18426 talks about the "limitations" of the enhanced gMail connector but doesn't specifically mention deletions.Again, I cannot delete FROM gMail and have it show up (deleted / reconciled) on the device.
I am aware that there have been issues raised previously and particularly one thread regarding the time delay between deleting emails on the server which remain on the BB.
My problem is an inability to delete emails on the BB. This problem only affects the Gmail email linked to my BB, not the other email accounts. Prior to linking the Gmail account to the BB, I spent time archiving messages from the Gmail account. This was 10 days ago.
So today I ring my carrier (Orange) for advice. They tell me that there are over 3500 messages in the inbox on the Gmail server and that is what is causing my problem. Whilst speaking to them, I was able to look at the server and confirm that there are only a couple of hundred opened messages on the server as far as I am concerned exactly as I expected.
I do have messages in other folders but the sum total is not per Orange's advice. Its worth noting that there are many many more messages on the respective servers for the other accounts for which no problem exists.
How do you delete the gmail contact list off blackberry? It simply would not allow. Even after deleting the whole email. wtf. Don't any <Innappropriate content removed> here say sync a blank contact list because in the contact list, the gmail account will still be active and will download again!

And then then to the main menu options, email reconciliation, and then had delete set to handheld and mailbox. Turned it on, gave handheld authority. Next, I have both Messages and the Gmail plug in on the desktop of my Curve 8530, and messages including sms and fb and emails all delete fine in Messages. But once I go to the Gmail plug in, same emails as in Messages but these ones don't delete.

When I receive an email via gmail, I swipe down to see who it is from, if it is garbage I hit the "delete" shortcut (without opening the actual email or gmail app). I cannot get the message to delete. On my S4 I hit "delete" and the message turns in to a bar that says "deleting" and then disappears. With the edge, the "deleting" bar pops up, says it has been delete and the message and message notification do absolutely nothing. It is driving me up the wall.
