Xperia Z3 :: Swipe To Unlock Does Not Always Work
May 15, 2015When my new z3 is locked, I frequently have trouble swiping to unlock the phone. When I try to swipe, I get the nice psychedelic particle trail showing the swipe, but often the phone does not unlock. It can take 3 or 4 attempts to get the darn thing to unlock. It is bad enough that I worry that the phone will simply not unlock no matter how many attempts. Very very irritating. I write firmware for a living. This is a serious bug.

Jul 3, 2010Unfortunately I cracked the screen on my Z3 (gutted) and although I can see everything, the swipe facility no longer works at all. I backed up all my information to my laptop and transferred all my photos off through PC companion, and I just about managed to power down the phone. The thing is I have an offer on the table for spares or repair, but due to the swipe facilty not working I cant do a normal factory reset.

Jun 30, 2015I've had my Xperia Z3 from T-Mobile for the last 8-9 months, no issues till, well, today when I decided to test if the phone was really waterproof (1.5m for 30min as per the specs). Â Verified all slots were tightly closed and used for about 15 minutes taking some pictures and video underwater (approx 50cm deep), no problem at all. Â After those 15 minutes however the screen stopped responding to inputs. Â It was still displaying content though (camera), just not responding to inputs. Â

I was able to reboot the phone by pressing power + volume up for a few seconds. The phone seems to be rebooting fine but the screen is not displaying anything now. Â I can see the screen is backlit, and if I press the volume up or down buttons I hear the usual beeps, but the screen is not displaying anything at all. Â

My biggest issue now, besides what seems to be water damage on my display, is that I need to recover my phone data (images and some docs) as soon as possible. Â I tried connecting it to my PC via USB to access the internal storage and get what I needed, but my phone has a swipe code and since the screen is not displaying anything I can't unlock it for my PC to see it.

May 22, 2012I have problem in my new Sony ericsson Pro mobile, when the keypad is unlocked i get the swipe to reject so i can do it, but when the keypad is locked i get the video tone with Answer/Ignore. If i click answer it receives the call and for ignore also it receives the call, it doesn't reject the call.

I have deleted all text msg, the phonebook, calendar etc. I have no downloaded apps installed on the phonememory. Latest firmare V31, and i have tried to reinstall the current firmware through Ovi Suit and PC Suite.
Atm i have about 15 MB of phonememory. I have noticed that under 20 MB of phonememory the phone starts to complain when i have 2-3 apps open at the same time that there is not enough memory. That problem did not occur when i had over 20 MB of phonememory.

Mar 20, 2015I just updated my HTC ONE M7 to the new lollipop version (5.0.2) with Sense 6.0 and now all my notifications are endless until i click on them or swipe them away.
For example, if I am sleeping and receive an email or facebook post notification in the middle of the night, it will vibrate and then go silent for 10 seconds, then it will vibrate and go silent for 10 seconds, and on and on. This happens in the daytime too, just super annoying at night when you are trying to sleep.

I can't find any way to change the shortcuts that appear on the lockscreen (important: I am not referring to the 4 apps that mirror the ones on your default launcher's dock).
