How to increase the brightness of the back button lights of Xperia Neo ?I hav unlocked the boot loader and then after trying so many custom roms , flashed the official sony rom ICS 4.0.4 , build no : 4.1.B.0.587 !!!the lights were bright wen I used CM9 and want the same brightness for this one too?
View 1 RepliesI have a 9810, and the Call and BB menu button backlights are always on. I've tried numerous battery pulls, reinstalled the OS, repaired the OS, changed my backlight settings. Security wipe and re install. I don't know what caused it. Nothing had been installed on the phone for the past couple months, and it only started 3 days ago. Screen Lock does nothing.

I got a Lumia 1020 a few days ago, and have noticed the lights of the 3 buttons at the button aren't working. I can't remember having seen them glow. Even last night, the didn't seen to be working in the dark.
I am currently using DP, could that be the reason?
I've had my Bionic about a week. The 4 soft buttons along the bottom of the screen (is there a common term for these?) are not always lit up. They all light up or they all don't, it's not just one of them. They're lit when I wake up the display, they'll go off after a while, sometimes just stay off briefly, other times stay off for a while. Is there any protocol for when the lights should be on or off? Is this a defect I should be concerned about?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my new Torch 9810 where the 4 front control keys remain illuminated after the touch screen dims out (phone answer key, blackberry key, return key, end call key). The only way to fix it temporarily is doing a battery pull but after about an hour it happens again. Really drains the battery down fast. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a real problem at sliding when I slide down the buttons are enlighted(the control ones : up, down, left, right, answer, hang up and the other two ) , BUT when i slide up they are not anymore I also tried to see in the dark how do i manage to use the cellphone and it does't work quite well I hope you can find something that will help me I also have to tell that I updated the cellphone once to the final update and I also master reseted it.

I got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, but I believe that these instructions should work on the S6 as well. On the Note 4, there was an option to adjust the Capacitive buttons lights - always on, always off, 1.5, and 6 seconds. On the S6, this option was removed from some variants (I believe that the AT&T version still has this option). If your phone doesn't have this option, then you can change the capacitive button light settings through ADB.
1. If you haven't done so, you will need to set up SDK on the PC/Mac first: Installing the Android SDK for Windows, Mac and Linux: A tutorial | Android Central
2. Enable Developer options by going into settings-about phone,and press on the Build Number 7 times.
3. Plug in the phone into the computer. Wait until the phone is recognized in the File Explorer (in Windows 8 on the Metro Screen, type "File Explorer", and select it). It should say Samsung-SM-G925V (or similar) in File Exporer
3. Go to Settings-Developer options, and enable USB debugging. A pop up menu will prompt you if you want the computer access, so select "Yes".
4. Go to the Command Prompt(in Windows 8 on the metro screen, tpye "command prompt", and select it) and type "ADB devices". You should see a device connected.
5. On the Command Line, Type "adb shell settings put system button_key_light 0" to disable capacitive lights.
The options are:
"adb shell settings put system button_key_light 0" -> always disable the capacitive button lights
"adb shell settings put system button_key_light -1" -> always enable the capacitive button lights
"adb shell settings put system button_key_light 1500" -> always disable the capacitive button lights after 1.5 seconds
"adb shell settings put system button_key_light 6000" -> always disable the capacitive button lights after 6.0 seconds
"adb shell settings get system button_key_light" -> get the current setting (standard: 1500, ie. 1.5 seconds)
It has suddenly decided to not respond to the back button for no apparent reason. Sometimes it suddenly starts working again after a restart and then works repeatedly untill untill the phone is left idle. Then the next time i pick the phone up it won't work again. The button itself feels no different to normall and has a positive click feel to its operation but i have noticed that when the phone is left on standby it suddenly starts illuminating the main screen repeatedly for no reason and i think the back button may be stopping from working after this happens, however i have not yet had it do this consistently to be sure yet. I have done a master reset, removed battery, software update (hard to do with intermitant back button btw) but all to no avail. All i have managed to achive is losing a load of my contacts actual numbers on SE's crappy sync service (contacts still listed but numbers gone and not in trash?)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not 100% sure if this is the solution to all Xperia Minis but after ICS4.0 upgrade of my mini the back button problem occuring due to overheating of phone (usually after 15-20mins usage of any app/music/photo viewing/browsing etc) has gone, After continuous usage of 15-20mins or immediately after charging phone I used to face this problem and could not do anything because as soon as I entered some menu the back button threw me out almost immediately.. but with ICS4.0 upgrade (done approx. 2.5weeks before) the problem has vanished totally. No matter what I do with the phone the back button doesn't throw me out of current menu automatically.

I actually found it a very good idea, one of the best and most intuitive since I started to use it.ow I often do not end my calls properly and that cauese me a lot of trouble. Local SE customer support told me that it is a firmware matter and cannot be changed. Isn't there any HW buttons configurator or another way to configure the HW buttons on the phone?

1. unlock my phone - by slide to right > press the corner shortcut - animation is smooth > press the mail icon - open mail and I can imediately scroll down with no lag > press back button...wait up to 3 second and then it go back to home screen or worse it not registered anything, is it like I didnt press the back button

what can make something like this happen? if this is software related action 1 and action 2 should be the same right? this is like some software component after update didn't detect the capacitive button correctly or something.there is option to repair this phone but it mean that I will loose all things in main memory, I will use this option as the last resort, but for now I would like to hear other opinion about this.other annoying stuff after this update:
- the APN setting was deleted so I must enter it again
- before update there is mcafee viruscan and mcafee wavesecure, after update it change into mcafee viruscan and mcafee security, and the mcafee security is not compatible with viruscan!! so I must delete viruscan, not that im using it tho, but still.
- there is some carrier spesific app that can be deleted but after boot restart showed up again
The increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.

When I insert the BB Torch into my belt holder and then try to increase the music volume it actually works. I tried calling customer support at AT&T and was told that I need to take my phone to the nearest AT&T store and have the BB software upgraded. Is there a fix for this issue? It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.
The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.
The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?
