My Xperia play has been having charging issues for a while where it randomly failed to charge.Recently however it never charges anymore and the power buttons just blinks a red light intermittently when plugged in.Does anyone know whether it is a battery issue or something more severe?
View 1 RepliesI have installed Lollipop but PC Companion insist an update exist i ended with a Software update failed boot message, my error was try to update with battery with 65% of charge. And cannot remember what happen but i ended with the Software update failed error, and the phone switch off and on and off and on with the same message, i read other post about turn off and charge, but i turn off with the little red button to force it but if i connect the magnetic cable or the usb cable to power it turn on again, i force to turn off and and the phone turn on again (with the message of failed update).

this only happens when I have enabled the data under "mobile networks". I have not got any battery savers/app killers etc. Ive only got the stock apps that came with the phone and a couple of games like fifa 12
I was trying to repair my phone using the PC Companion, when the phone shut off during the update, and now whenever i turn on the phone, i get a screen showing a phone, along with a triangle with exclamation point in it, then it promptly shuts off.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi want to convert my psx game for my xplay, but it failed. i have read all the instruction that i can read in the internet, i have updated my java runtime, copy apk, and zapk from my xplay but when i try to extract it, come a message that say : this apk is not a valid one. the extractor will continue, but you may get errors later,CRC32:1992425944, and when i click ok there is another message that say : cannot extract apk! java says invalid entry CRC ( expected 0xe88805d1 but got 0xf14e0736)would you please tells my what have i done wrong ? just info , i'm using windows 7 ultimate,and yifanlu 1.0, my xplay is in 2.3.4.

My camera seems to have corrupted autofocus functionality "it seems to be locked on infinity and I cannot focus on any object. I know that autofocusing should normally be triggered by long-tapping camera button in the default application, but it never happens". I always get red focusing mark and a blurry photo.
This behavior is observed on both 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 with default application, Camera ZOOM Ex, Camera 360 and lgCamera. I tried every focusing setting (auto, infinity, macro), but no luck. I also tried to clear application data for Camera app, but it didn't give any results either.
I opened service menu > service tests > camera, and after tapping on screen I got a message: 'Autofocus failed, taking picture anyway'.
Here's an example of my photo: As you can see, it is of quite poor quality. It was taken from approximately 25-30 cm above surface, with 'Macro' focus settings and other settings in default state.

I bought an iPhone 4s in November 2013. The phone is through Sprint. (didn't know if that made a difference or not.) In the past 7 months the phones apps have been opening & shutting right down, the app might stay on for 2 minutes if you're lucky. It started out with my Facebook app shutting down, then it progressed to other apps & the repeated random shutdowns have been getting worse. The phone itself overheats without even being plugged into the charger. The Safari is now beginning to close randomly. I called my carrier & they said that they could run a diagnostics test on my phone to see what's making it do what it's doing. Since the phone has been shutting down & randomly shutting apps off for over 7 months, they've ruled out the option of it being a bad software through Apple.

Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. IOS 5.1. i recently bought a small dock to put in my room and it has been working well. now when i plug my phone in it charges but wont play. a message now pops up and says that it is not made to play an iphone (not those words exactly).

My message notification tone used to play all the way thru when I received a message now it only plays two seconds then cuts off I have tried changing the tone but they are all the same.

However, when i play Battlefield two and attempt to use both touch pads to move about, the game freezes and locks up until i cease touching the two game pads. FYI, im using the stock launcher and i recently reboot the phone so the stock games were deleted. its a canadian phone on the Rogers network. Should i just bring the phone in?

Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
