After trying to charge what was left on the battery (10%) with my PC, the phone simply did not charge. Tried to use the charger but the power button doesn't even flash and the phone doesn't charge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had Xperia Z2 for almost two months now, today when I was at work I noticed that it was off, although it had more than 40% of battery still remaining. I tried turning it back on but as it didn't work I figured something was wrong with it.
I tried hard reset and it did vibrate three times, but it still wouldn't turn on. I thought something drained the battary and waited till I got home to charge it. Now that I am at home it doesn't even charge, none of the LED lights work, it won't connect to pc companion either and hard reset now does nothing (as in, it doesn't vibrate 3 times anymore).
I tried volume up/down+power button combination, hard reset, held the reset button for longer than 15 sec, I removed sd card and sim, nothing works the phone is just lifeless. I haven't dropped it or used it intensely, it never overheat or anything of that sort.
I used my phone about 15 minutes ago. When I went to check the time it was off and now it won't turn on. Is their anything I can do to fix it or do I have to go out and get a new phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy xperia asked my if I wanted to update the software, I pressed yes then later on when that was done, a message popped up saying that another part of the update would turn the phone off for about 30 minutes or so if I remember correctly. Now it will not turn on again. When I hold the power button it just vibrates for about half a second then pulses. Like vibrates for half a second then waits another 3-5seconds the vibrates again etc.*It's not a charging problem the green light shows when it's fully charged and that still operates.*I think it is rooted. I gave it to a friend to do it he said he put some of the root items on their but couldn't fully do it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed Lollipop but PC Companion insist an update exist i ended with a Software update failed boot message, my error was try to update with battery with 65% of charge. And cannot remember what happen but i ended with the Software update failed error, and the phone switch off and on and off and on with the same message, i read other post about turn off and charge, but i turn off with the little red button to force it but if i connect the magnetic cable or the usb cable to power it turn on again, i force to turn off and and the phone turn on again (with the message of failed update).

Thought I'd give it another go in the morning but no, just the red light on but no power. Now it still has the red power light show up but then after about 30 mins a battery sign shows that is different to the last battery sign that it had before so was wondering if the system has updated automatically???? Turns on but shows main screen for a millisecond and switches straight off saying 0% battery even though its been charging a good while.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was checking my phone one morning when it asked me to update, after that a message popped up saying that for the next update the phone had to be turned off for about 5 minutes. It never turned on again after that.I already posted a discussion notice about it not turning and the wonderful team member helped me and told me to flash my phone and try the updater. I've done both now and my phone is yet to turn on.I believe the flashing must of done something as now the LED light on the power button flashes red when I hold down it. But it still does not turn on.This has been really frustrating and the problem still continues to go on.Now when I try pc companion update service and hold the back button and connect the phone my PC doesn't recognize the device. Same message pops up if I just plug my phone in normally.

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy Iphone4 connects to my car stereo through the cable it came with. it wont play music on a dock or in my car anymore but it will charge. im not sure what to do anymore. i plugged another iphone 4 into my car and it worked just fine. both phones have the same software. IOS 5.1. i recently bought a small dock to put in my room and it has been working well. now when i plug my phone in it charges but wont play. a message now pops up and says that it is not made to play an iphone (not those words exactly).

Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.

View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the second day in a row, I woke up to a completely dead phone that will not charge. The battery was completely charged before I went to sleep so I didn't leave it on the charger. When I found that it was dead I put it on the charger but it shows no signs of charging. The red light came on once when I first connected it and never again after that. I had to use a friends old blackberry battery to get it working the day before but now his battery is in the same condition.
