I tried the Camera mod for Xperia play and some kind of entertainment apps by using camera but still the same.My camera just freeze if i take a photo. Even if I use another apps to take photo it just freeze.

However, when i play Battlefield two and attempt to use both touch pads to move about, the game freezes and locks up until i cease touching the two game pads. FYI, im using the stock launcher and i recently reboot the phone so the stock games were deleted. its a canadian phone on the Rogers network. Should i just bring the phone in?

View 9 Replies View Relatedany apps that allow the photo-LED light to actually "flash" or "snap" if you will when you're taking a photo at night as apposed to going deep into the options menu and activating the photo-light which stays on and blinds the shyte out of your subjects? Its the only feature that would make the camera perfect in my opinion.

My camera seems to have corrupted autofocus functionality "it seems to be locked on infinity and I cannot focus on any object. I know that autofocusing should normally be triggered by long-tapping camera button in the default application, but it never happens". I always get red focusing mark and a blurry photo.
This behavior is observed on both 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 with default application, Camera ZOOM Ex, Camera 360 and lgCamera. I tried every focusing setting (auto, infinity, macro), but no luck. I also tried to clear application data for Camera app, but it didn't give any results either.
I opened service menu > service tests > camera, and after tapping on screen I got a message: 'Autofocus failed, taking picture anyway'.
Here's an example of my photo: As you can see, it is of quite poor quality. It was taken from approximately 25-30 cm above surface, with 'Macro' focus settings and other settings in default state.
Just yesterday my phone has started to malfunction. A pop up window keeps appearing ''Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped''. I have to click it around 6 times before it stops popping up, this happens frequently every minute.
When I try to use my camera it says ''Unfortunately, Camera has stopped''. When go onto Settings, Half of the menus are unusable. If I click one that's ''broken'' It closes itself immediately.

I know many of us did not buy this phone for its camera capabilities, but given that this is part of the Xperia line, it's disappointing that this phone did not ship with at least the X10's imaging software. Sony Ericsson was content to put their on touch on many areas of the device, yet, they decided to NOT touch one of worst pieces of Android. Would anyone else have liked SE to tweak the camera software? I wasn't expecting Arc-status, but I also wasn't expecting such a low-quality experience on such a "high-end" device.

A few days ago I stupidly dropped my xperia play in the bath. I let it dry out and place in rice in a sealed container for a few days to dry it out. However when I now power the phone up the camera flash light stays on and will not switch off even going into the camera settings and turning it off. I done the software repair download from the sony website but it hasn't helped.I also purchased a new battery as well. I am guessing it's going to need repaired but I thought I ask on here if anyone has ideas as to what would be causing the problem.

Front camera causes my XPERIA PLAY to crash. In the beginning, both front and back camera didnt work. I reset the phone to default settings and back camera worked, but front camera problem continues to persist. I downloaded other apps such as Vignette and Pudding Camera - same problem exist and sometimes even cause the phone to reboot or hang. Error messages include "In-built camera cannot connect", "camera application not responding", "phone cannot connect" or sometimes just black out.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have owned a X10 for 1 year now and didnt have any problems until I updated it with the new Sony ericsson updates. Now when I watch movie's or play games make phone calls or something simple like receiving txt messages or emails (or to put it another way, everything the phone was designed to do) the handset simply freezes and makes a terrible buzzing noise for about 4 seconds then it shuts off completely. The phone will then reboot. Sometimes it will crash again immediately and reboot again. I have seen it crash and reboot up to 5 times.
