BB Bold :: 9900 Keyboard Frozen But Repeating Letters?
Sep 4, 2012I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.

Jan 28, 2012I JUST bought a new verizon model phone, and I charged it into the wall charger for 4 hours to make sure it was charged. When it is plugged in, a battery with a lightning bolt appears on the screen, so I assume it is charging. But, when I unplugged it, and turn on the device, I see the hourglass/clock on the screen, and then it goes to a page saying "Blackberry" and it begins loading, however, the phone turns off and dies. After that, I can't turn it back on. I tried putting it back into the charger for 5 mins, then repeat turning it on, and the same thing happens.
I then connect the USB to the computer, and I have the Blackberry Desktop software. The "summary" part can tell it's a blackberry storm 9550, but then, all the other sections say the device isn't connect. I can hear the phone disconnecting and reconnecting to the laptop also. Then a pop up appears stating the device isn't connected/troubleshooting and to try re-trying to find the phone.

May 13, 2011I didn't see that you can't use BB Protect when using Enterprise Server. I need to uninstall this program as it seems to be blocking my BB from getting emails from the Enterprise Server.

Jul 31, 2010I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

I turned it on a few days ago and got a white screen that had a JVM error 102. Called VZ tech support and they told me I had a corrupt file in the OS and asked me to unistall and reinstall. Apr 8, 2011I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I bought on eBay. I accidently dropped my metal water bottle on the bottom half of the screen. Immediately there was a tiny crack that appears in the graphics of the screen, but nothing on the surface. Now anytime I try to get the screen to respond all that appears is that little crack. Oct 2, 2010My phone a Storm has developed a problem where the screen is blank though everything is working fine and I can receive calls and emails. Shortly before this happened, the phone would not sow the words im typing and they would only show up after pressing the space button after which the phone would freeze and require a battery pull. The phone has been giving me problems for a bit so I thought this was one of the many problems but now the phone cant show anything although the backlight will be on. I thought it was a software issue (I started using the phone brand in November when it was brand new so I didnt expect this to be a hardware problem) and tried upgrading and downgrading with the same results.Looking at this forum this looks like a very common problem amongst Storm phones. Since I bought this phone off an online auction (in South Africa which means I cant 'return it to my carrier') and the Warranty type was listed as carried by the manufacturer is there a way I can return this phone to RIM for repairs sonce the phone is only 3months old and I still have some warranty?

Apr 12, 2011IM very new to the Blackberry systems. I LOVE my phone and am starting to get very good at using it but I'm having a problem with my email, hopefully I could get some much needed help. This is the second time this has happened to me that my email has acted up by reposting every single email I've ever gotten in a matter of minutes. Old emails from months ago come up in the order I first got them. Up to 140 emails per about 3-4 minutes I end up having to mark all prior and delete all after it stops on its own. This really scares me and I dont want anything happening to my phone. Could it be a virus If so what should I do is there any BB virus software out there or if not is there anything I could do?
