Sony Ericsson :: SE F305 / White Screen During Receiving A Call?

A friend got a SE F305 2yrs ago and of late he is having some troubles with it. The camera wasn't working properly a few months ago,so decided to service it but the technician told to replace it.But after a few days it started working fine again. Since last week when he receives a call he is not able to hear until he switches to loudspeaker. Today the screen has gone "WHITE" and not able to see anything. How to solve this? Will a software upgrade fix the problem??Can u suggest a suitable upgrade or a flash for it?

Just got a debranded f305 and well it came with a 512mb card.I put my own 1gb card full with about 250 m4a songs now the phone is VERY SLOW when i enter music in file manager and slow in the media player takes like 3-4 seconds for it to start playing a selected song from list and like 5 seconds when i click the next in the player.now i understand this phone supports up to 4GB so if its so slow with 1 GB then how can 4gb even be supported.my own w910i runs smooth with much more music in file manager and is always instant in selecting and playing music in the player.... the f305 is a low-mid range phone but even the k610 has a fast file manager and music player so what gives?any ideas how to reduce the lag? or why is it happening?

I just dropped my cellphone and it turned off. when i tried turn it back on, appeared a white screen and nothing more. the keyboard is normal and the screen blinks between white and black. I tried to update via SEUS and flash with a2uploader tool and aerix application BUT nothing happen.

I turned my phone off then on. In the process of it starting up it kept on turning on and off by itself. I had no chance to do anything before it wouldn't turn off again. The battery said it was full but everytime it turned back on I could see it was loosing life. I went to plug it in to charge but that wouldn't help as it wouldn't charge while it was turning on and off all the time. I tried to take the battery out. I have taken the memory card out. Now it has frozen with a white lit up screen.

My screen doesn't light up when there is an incomming call.When the caller hangs up, however, the screen lights up with the 'missed call' message. I have reset the phone several times both on from the fones menu and the website.

I've tried several times to synchronise my new W995 to this site. However, the sync setup won't work. I follow the step by step instructions on this site, but I only get to the point when they tell me I will receive an SMS with instructions, after I give my phone type and phone number. As nothing happens, I tried "manual setup". Then, all I see is "Manual Setup", completely blank, with no instruction whatsoever! All I can click is "Done", but nothing can be done if I don't receive the sms and if there are no instructions for manual setup. How is that supposed to work? This site is a joke! I would be done sooner copying all my contacts one by one into the new phone or sending them one by one via Bluetooth!

I recently got this C905. From that day I am not able to get my GPS work. I activated Airtel Mobile office too. I even tried with the Wifi connection. When I go to Wayfinder - Plan rout - A - My Position: I get this error message as" GPS receiver does not receive signals. Please make sure that nothing is blocking the GPS signal (e.g. a roof, building, etc) and try again. I have tried it out even on ground. But is is not functioning. All my other friends can Use GPS from this place from their NOKIA cell, so that means to say that GPS is accessible in the place where I am. Why cant I use GPS.

I am in the process of buying a W595. The main thing that troubles me is a VERY short call history list. According to specifications this is 10 + 10 + 10 for received, dialed and missed calls. Is there a way to keep records of at least 100 or hopefully more incoming and outgoing calls?

I am not receiving any text messages on my new vivaz.I can send text messages however. No problems in receiving and making calls.Cannot be service provider problem as I have been using the same sim card for many years.Help!

Poor network reception, not a network provider issue. SIM works fine different phone. It does not receive any signal indoors need to be outside or near a window. What may be wrong with the phone?

I notice in my w850i when I try to press down sometimes graphics becomes destorted I need to press power button until menu appears then its ok sometimes not and eventually turns white. Im forced to reinsert battery over and over again.

My Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if i've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference.

I use the phone and take a call as normal. Next day someone rings me, they can NOT hear me but I can hear them. I then discover the microphone is only live when in loud speaker mode, it is not a faulty mic as I can speak using it on speakerphone and make recordings.
I have done factory reset, had it to a repair guy who reinstalled all the software and replaced the 'ribbon cable' but the problem remains. Is there a secret 'mute' button that I have missed, is this a button/switch fault, we are totally perplexed.

About 3 times a day it unlocks and calls somebody up. Well it's not a software fault, it's just because I hit a button and the inside of my pocket just touches the screen and it unlocks. I saw on the xperia you have to slide your finger to unlock it, that would do the trick.

Just wondering how I silence an incoming call on the C903? I know I can press the hang up button but this immediately sends a busy signal to the person calling. Most phones allow you silence the ringer so the incoming call continues and you can still choose to answer it or leave it to go to through to the answer phone. Is that possible on this phone? I've search the manual and can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought the Zylo almost two months ago and I'm already having a problem with it. First of all, I can't hear a call from the handset itself, I have to speak from the speaker. Which is very inconvenient. The Service centre was not very helpful. He said check up from so and so date to check when the spares come in.i have to wait till the store opens and then call up and check when my phone can be repaired. Second problem that cropped up today is that my menu button does not work when the slide is open. My software is up-to-date as I updates it two days ago. Also I find the battery life very weak, isn't this supposed to be a walkman phone? I am outraged to find such problems with an SE phone so early into use. This has never been manhandled, why the problem then?

I have a Sony Ericsson Aino(u10i) handset. It has the following problem:-Touchscreen goes blank during an incoming call. hence i have to slide open to answer the call. but otherwise other media functions on touchscreen works. I also have the latest software update on my phone. Kindly let me know what could be the problem.
