My phone was K610i, its already out of warranty and was bought from italy. i cant use the internet because the configuration setting is not acceptable by the phone. is it because i was here in the philippines and the phone bought in italy? the speaker is not functioning... how much will it cost? and can it still be repaired?

I called SE about 5 mins ago and they are about as good a customer service as 3 and thats really saying something. I really fed up of the customer support who ain't there to support the customers. So I am going to go higher up the chain and speak to someone who ain't mentally challenged and who is not going to reply with just. Well I don't know I have no info on that or I don't know I cant say coz I don't know. Phone numbers for some boss kinda ppl so I can call them please.

Update service software doesn't recognize it and a balloon shows up from my task bar with the message "Found new hardware". I click it and my system freezes. I also have tried to connect it while pressing 5 as I read through the other threads but the same problem happens.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the SE PC suite & backed up everything on my phone next I installed the update service & tried to update my phone it is not getting recognized at all following the instructions properly, ie: Shut down fully charged phone, remove battery and re-insert. Do NOT power on phone. run updater, plug phone in while holding "c". the phone shows up as a device in windows XP after about a minute, but it never gets recognized by the updater. however the PC suite beeps & sees the phone ok. what's the deal here, am I missing something? if PC suite & my computer are able to see the phone, why isn't the updater? also having the same issue with a2uploader, it doesn't see the phone at all

Up till a few months ago I regularly used TrackID on my Sony Ericson W580i to identify tracks on my local radio station (DJ's are USELESS they never say what the tracks are called!) But the last few months I keep getting the message 'Service Not Available' after the sound sample has been sent to wherever it goes. I understand the service itself is free, but in order to use the service you need to send the sound sample to get it analyzed and you have to pay a 'data transmission charge'. Has Sony discontinued the service? Or have they updated the Track ID system and I need to update my phone? Would save me having to text the DJ's for the track names.

There is no "other!". So I was thinking of updating my phone to wipe it and start again and see if this fixes the problem. I downloaded a newer version of the update service for my computer, turn off my phone, take out the battery, re insert the battery, hold the call button, plug the usb in and after a good while, still nothing has happened. And then the update service decided to freeze and won't let me exit so I keep having to restart my computer. What is wrong with the update service/my phone?

The phone can receive incoming calls, but that is it. I have tried the update service. Result - Your phone has the latest software update.
Using the SE PC Suite, and connecting by using the USB cable, a list of folders is displayed which are empty. Using the "Phone Repair" from the SE PC Suite, and after following the instructions, the only result is - "Update Failed". Please can someone assist me in sorting out this problem?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI had to reprogram my K800i and lost all my settings. I've got it all set up except for the earpiece volume which is typically low in this model. The fix is to set it in the service menu. When I go to the secret service menu to raise the earpiece volume, it allows me to change it, I hit ok. If I go back, it is at the old level, not the one I just set.
So is it really not saving it or just going to a default level? If it is not saving it, what could be wrong? I have updated the service to the latest one and my phone is not a locked version. I would test it but it is midnight here and I don't wake anyone to have them give me a test call. (no land line either)

I'm really ticked off because they did not give me any approximate date on when I can get my unit. So last monday I called to the service center to check if I can pick the phone already as one week has past. They said that they will follow it up which makes me think if they are doing something about my phone. Then I called this afternoon (Philippine time), they said that it is in the main service center then I asked, when will I get my phone. The person from the service center said that he doesnt know because they cannot connect to the site or whatsover of the main service center.

I can't seem to send text messages (but I can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that I need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." But "service center" does not appear when I go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do I find this?

They kept my phone with them for 2 days and returned it to me as it is after 2 days.When I checked on delivery the problem still persisted. They said the key needs to be replaced and will take few days and come back after 2 days. When I went back they said 2 more days, after 2 days they said again 2 days. I had to visit there office 5-6 times just to hear 2 more days.When I tried to escalate using service center they said can not take complient. Just getting frustrated day by day with Nokia service.
